- Location and price
- Great location close to most of sights of the town, restaurants and mini markets closed by. Very quite with a peaceful park in front of it. Very clean and the owner is very welcoming. I would totally recommend it and re-visit if going to Istanbul again.
- So much that I liked! The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and welcoming. He made me feel at home. The neighborhood was very nice and the bed... the most comfortable!! It's an older building so of course it's not soundproof but it didn't stop me from sleeping soundly every night!
Cons -
- The room was cold and the tv was broken
- Location is great, however there is a pretty big hill to walk up to the historic part of Istanbul, so you need to be fit.
- The rooms are a bit small.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and were absolutely delighted!First of all, I would like to highlight the owner - Aziz abisi: such a kind, hospitable, and intelligent person. Thanks to his care and attention, we felt completely at home. A huge thank you to him!The location of the hotel is also wonderful — right across from a beautiful park with fountains. In the evenings, we slept with the windows open: it was quiet, fresh, and there were no mosquitoes or flies. The T1 tram line is only a 10-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. This line connects almost all of the city’s main attractions — Galataport, the market at Eminönü, the Grand Bazaar and Laleli, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Taksim Square, and many more.Cleanliness was excellent: daily housekeeping, fresh towels, and perfectly white bed linen. The room was bright, cozy, and filled with fresh air.In addition, there are lovely cafés nearby where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast. We were very happy with our stay and know for sure that next time in Istanbul we will not even consider other options — we will book this hotel again without hesitation. Many thanks to the hotel for their hospitality and for making our stay so wonderful!
It was quite cozy and the hotel manager was communicative and helpful. Being close to parks, restaurants and shops, its location was also excellent.
Hotel is located in the historic part of Istanbul, only an 11 min walk to the Blue Mosque and other iconic landmarks.
Location is great, however there is a pretty big hill to walk up to the historic part of Istanbul, so you need to be fit.
Great location. The hotel is super clean and the owner is friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a bit small.
Great hospitality, location, cleanliness and near by restaurants and grocery.
A nice room in very good location, in a friendly neighborhood, with many traditional buildings around and a nice park. Lots of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, but still quiet. It's close to the tram station, and a 10-minute walk to the metro. To get to the old centre you need to climb a bit. The place was very clean, well maintained, good hot shower and working fridge, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I might return if I go back to Istanbul.
Great location, walking distance to main sights. Very clean, very friendly.
Great location, close to all the things you need, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. There are a few restaurants nearby with great food. Quiet neighborhood. Supermarket 50 meters away. Very friendly owner. The room was cleaned every day. The stay was super comfortable
The rooms are quite small and the bathroom was tiny, but it was ok overall
I stayed in the Economy single room which really was almost ideal for me. The manager, Aziz, was very friendly and helpful the entire time.LOCATION: If you are able to walk comfortably, the location is great. It's a short walk (about 15 minutes) to Sultanahmet Square/Hippodrome, about 1/2 of the walk up a hill. It's about the same time up a hill to the Çemberlitaş tram station. For airport transfer I used the Havaist buses to/from the Askaray *Metro* station. From there you can walk a flat route to the hotel for about 30 minutes, or take the tram from the Yusufpaşa tram station (just south across the main boulevard and about a block from the Askaray Metro) or the Aksaray *tram* station to the Çemberlitaş station. The tram line runs from 6 am to midnight. During the day (6 am to midnight) you can also take the Metro to and from the Istanbul airport using the M2 and M11 lines. There are taxis everywhere if you need one (I never did). Also, there are many restaurants and small markets nearby. I liked the Kim market the most, and it was very close. There is a park across the street (be nice to the cats!) and the neighborhood seems very safe at all hours.ROOM: The bed was about a full size by US standards and very comfortable. The room is not very large so having room on the bed to lay things out was helpful. There was a large hot water kettle on a small shelf near the bed, and a small refrigerator under the shelf. Above that shelf was a place to hang clothes and a couple more shelves. The bathroom had a good sized shower and small sink (both with consistent hot water) and toilet. There is also a small bedside table. The Wi-Fi was good and worked well for me. I didn't use the TV. Only stairs (no elevator) were available to the top floor where my room was.Housekeeping was daily and excellent. The window opens for fresh air. The air conditioner provides both hot and cold air; the heater was needed and it worked well.
Small concerns: It wasn't a large room (Economy single) so the bed is the only place to sit besides the toilet. The shelf with the kettle is the table used for eating, sitting on the bed. A microwave oven would have been helpful but that doesn't seem to be a common amenity at Istanbul hotels.
Highly recommend this comfortable hotel for a budget traveler who is seeking a convenient location within a 15-20 minute walk from the start of major historical sites. A grocery store is one block away; a beautiful park is directly across the street; and inexpensive as well as slightly more expensive restaurants are less than a block or two away. The owner, Ahgeez, went out of his way during my 5-night stay to make me feel welcome. Thanks, again, Ahgeez.
The staff was very friendly and nice. The location is great and has a lot of good restaurants nearby, but you need to go down the hill.
The stay at the hotel was extremely pleasant. The location is great—close to the central part of the old town, surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants. Yet, it's positioned in a quiet area with no traffic in the evenings, which is very important for me in Istanbul, as in my previous experiences I couldn't sleep because of the noise outside. Here, it was very comfortable for sleeping. As is typical in the old town, there are some uphill/downhill streets when walking, but if you choose the quickest route (I went via Çemberlitaş), it's not a problem. The host was incredibly attentive—he made sure everything was comfortable, safe, and that the room had everything I needed. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and toilet paper provided. The room I chose was on the first floor. It was small, but perfectly sufficient for me—I mainly care about having a clean and quiet place to sleep well at night.Considering the value for the price, this place is a solid ten out of ten.
The owner and staff were so kind and helpful.
