No Irons Or iron table. Bed sheets are very old and patchwork need to be upgrades.Other than that is a great location

The location. It is conveniently located. Steps away from Istiklal street. And within walking distance to many of the landmarks around the Golden horn.

The location is the best one. Staff also are good specially Ekin. He was very supportive. Room service is done on daily basis.

We didn’t get our reserved room due to technical issues in air conditioning and we stayed one night in smaller room. But the remaining nights we stayed at another room similar to what we reserved.

The location and prices are amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms has no soundproofing system, we could hear everything happening in the room next to us. When we first came the bathrooms were not well cleaned and the bedsheets seemed to have been used before we came.

I was given the terrace room and really enjoyed it. You get to enjoy the Istanbul weather and the view of Istiklal Street. I've booked this hotel several times because I liked it so much. Great staff, great people! Highly recommend it!

Right in the midst of Istiklal street. Close to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice hotel for the price and location!

I ended up booking last minute in another hotel three hous after checking in. impossible to stay.

- the whole building is for smokers, reeks of smoke.-problems with electrical system: no elevator (for a 5th floor room), no phone line with reception-the access to the emergency exit for the floor was through the room

We had 2 rooms, one extremely loud from the street noises and the renovation in the late evening. Another facing a wall, and a very dirty rooftop with garbage and pigeons. Constant smell of smoking, sink with only hot water (no cold water), and very dirty bedsheets and towels.

rooms outdated , no cleanliness, no balcony as it stated that it had but just 2 windows overlooking a roof full of cigarettes and mouldy food, breakfast next door with only bread ,tomatoes and cheese. no coffee, toast,milk. electrical wires showing or just fixed with tape, mould all around bathroom, broken shower tiles which I cut my foot, refurbishing the hotel at the moment and many times had to go back out or back in my room as couldn't pass from reception corridor or out from my room .cleaned the room myself the whole stay as I didn't want

When I fly to Istanbul, I stay in this hotel, my Istanbul home. I like everything - first of all, the attitude of the staff, they are always ready to help, then the location - on Istiklal Street, where you can find everything you need and the very atmosphere of the city is fascinating. The hotel has been renovated - a New Year's surprise for hotel guests. Advise!

WORST

we had 5 rooms with my friends it was the worst hotel ive ever seen, first the room wasnt like in the photo and their reason was the room you reserved it is being renovated, in my room marijuhana smell, no water very very dirty they didnt even clean it or change the blankets, we lost our money we changed the hotel they didnt give us back the money but please booking remove them from ur page please because of this hotel im never going to reserve any hotel anymore without pay at property, i hope this hotel is being closed and never working anymore

Everything is bad. Very small hotel, small and dirty rooms, no water, the corridors were not in order, above all when the receptionist wanted to give me my money back he refused and I was forced to leave the hotel to go to another hotel and they did not give me my money back. Don't go

The accommodation was awful, rooms were very dirty and messy, it was totally impossible to stay. Bathrooms and even walls were extremely dirty. Do not recommend!!!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty shower, dirty bed sheets. Moldy walls. I used my own towel because the hotels's one looked like were used. Breakfast....it was like a punishment for the hotel. I asked for it and at the reception they rudely said that I didn't book room with breakfast. Finally I ate it. It was a shitty one... Do not recommend that hotel at all. I wonder who gives that booking points for the hotel. It should be less than 3. I have chosen the hotel because it was recommended by booking. Huge mistake!

I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Mara. The location and the staff were very kind and ready for eventual help. The room was clean (504), very quiet and the bed very comfortableI like everything, for me everything was good.

Location

1) On arrival day my daughter was trapped inside the bathroom for 30 mins due to the poor door handle 2) There were ants beside the bed and 2 cockroaches ( alive not dead ) and after killing it they didn’t even bother removing it was left in the bathroom 3) No one told us that the elevator doesn’t go till 6th floor which was our floor so we had to use the stairs to reach our floor 4) Our air conditioner was very old + it didn’t work for a whole day which we had to call the receptionist to solve this problem 5) They lied about the size of the room it was told 25 which was not true and the room was very small
