Location is great, next to okd town and Bosphorus. Staff is very friendly, specially Melika and Hayati. Every request was handled professionally.

Room noise isolation needs some work, not critical.

There is not room isolation so you can hear other people s conversation. Breakfast can be better.

The location

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. After reporting that some of my personal items were stolen, the management failed to conduct a serious or transparent investigation. Despite my repeated attempts to get clear answers, I was shown what appeared to be a photoshopped photo instead of the actual video footage. This was presented as “evidence” to convince me that the bellman was not involved — which only raised more concerns about the credibility of their process.The way this issue was handled was completely unprofessional and dismissive. I expected honesty, accountability, and proper investigation, but instead, I encountered avoidance and misleading information. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety, integrity, and fair treatment of guests.

The staff at the reception were very rude, I understand a bit of Turkish, I understood they were saying bad words to all guests.

Breakfast is OK, if you want an omlette made, you pay extra which is strange, since we paid $130 a night why we have to pay extra for omlette

I was assigned two separate beds even though that was not my choice when completing the reservation. Unfortunately, the room had a strong cigarette odor and was not very clean. Room service never showed up for bucket of ice requests. The cable service was unreliable, and the Wi-Fi did not work at all. If you are planning to stay here for business purposes, I would recommend reconsidering.

During my check-in experience, I was extremely disappointed with the attitude and behavior of the reception staff. The receptionist was not polite at all and spoke in a very rude and unprofessional manner, which left a very negative first impression of the hotel.Despite the fact that I had already booked a specific room in advance, I was not given the room I had reserved at the time of check-in. When I raised this issue, instead of offering any assistance, understanding, or solution, the receptionist simply stated that there were no other rooms available and insisted that I must stay in the room provided, regardless of my booking details.Such behavior is highly unprofessional, especially in the hospitality industry, where customer service and respect should be the top priority. This kind of treatment is not acceptable, and I sincerely hope that the management takes this matter seriously and provides better training to the staff so that other guests do not face the same unpleasant experience in the future.

Melika was a great staff personnel and helped us greatly at Kalyon Hotel. She gave us advice in English and accommodated us very well. We enjoyed our time at Kalyon Hotel and appreciated all the services.I would defintiely recommend tourists to stay here when visiting Istanbul as it is close to all the famous landmarks such as Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.For any future guests at the hotel please ask for Melika for any help!

Location was great and the panoramic view beautiful. Most staff very friendly.

Very hard beds. Air conditioning automatically shut off requiring us to wake up after feeling the warm room to turn it on again several times in the night. It could not be fixed over the weekend. Sewer smell in the bathroom.

Rooms were old and furniture was dated. Think there are old and new wings and we were at first given the older rooms.
