Taksim Antique Hotel

This hotel was a horrible scam. The staff has zero common sense and was completely unaccommodating. I told them I would be late for my check in so in response they stole my money and said I could not have my room and left me out on the street.

Location very best, behind taksim mosque..near taksim square trem station, near istiqlal street. Hotel spacious and staff are very good,warm and helping so much

Checking in was a pain since the door was locked. Neighboring store had to call the hotel. The room needs repairs. The shower door gets stuck, the floor piece to the bathroom is broken, hooks for towels fall off, and I struggled with locking and unlocking the door. The bed sheets don’t fully cover the mattress and we did find 2 spiders in the bed. The last room cleaning was the weirdest. We went from an excess amount of toilet paper down to 1/4th of a roll. The remaining was taken away by staff. They also moved all of our items, including a hot hair straightener from the shelf in the bathroom to a wooden table and wrapped the cable, which is very strange and untrusting. I’ve never had a hotel touch/move all of our items. I do believe an item was taken but I can not prove it. I’ve lost all trust in this hotel.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and they were super-responsive. The room is located in the perfect spot, so it was easy to reach everything.

Room cleaning could've been more regular and thorough.

I had a great stay at this place! The location was perfect — everything we needed was nearby, and we had easy access to metro, tram, and bus stations, all within less than 10 minutes walking distance. The room was small and cozy, but very clean and comfortable. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always replying within seconds. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Central location, 2 minutes walk from Taksim square and the main shopping street. Beautiful charming building with amazing views from the terrace. Spacious room with a couch to relax by the window.

As advised in previous comments, there is no lift and there are five sets of spiral stairs up to the room, just to keep in mind if you are travelling heavy! During my stay there was an unpleasant smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom, so just need to keep that door closed.

Accessibility, the comfort . Very homie and the hospitality of the person .

It’s not that i didn’t like , however i wish there is a lift incase i bring big luggages. Good thing I had only carry on and travel light .

Property is near to the city and very accessible to the transportation and Taksim Square. Very good price for a hotel in the centre.

Amazing location, very close to public transportation, restaurants, taksim square..etc. The room is clean and comfortable.

I've stayed a few times in this Hotel it is a place that I am very pleased with because rooms are clean and it is right in the center etc.

No Lift

Wonderful staff, very accommodating and friendly and the hotel location cannot be beaten. We stayed initially a few days (we were offered an upgrade as soon as we arrived, to a beautiful room on the top floor with a terrace balcony) and then they offered to hold our luggage while we went away 2 weeks to Antalya so we booked another week with them for our return. They even carried our luggage up to our 4th floor room which was really nice. Very close to the airport buses, right near Taksim Square and the antique tram going up and down Istiklal Street - lots of public transport options.

There are a LOT of stairs - it is an older building so this is to be expected, it's the true Turkish experience in a way. If you have heavy luggage opt to stay as close to ground floor as possible. There seems to be a problem with the plumbing in that there is a strong smell coming from the drains. Management has been made aware of this so I'm sure they will rectify it quickly.

Excellent location 50 meters from Taksim Square and the main pedestrian street Istiklal. Bright and beautiful rooms that have everything you need. A good option to stay in the city center if you are planning walking tours and sightseeing. Nearby there is the Galata Tower, the bridge from which ferries depart to the Bosphorus and much more.

The location is awesome, less than 2 minutes to Taksim Square and Istiklal street, the staff are amazing and attentive, the rooms are cleaned often, the room is beautiful and has all you need and is big enough, all my queries were attended too, lots of restaurants close by, it also has a separate entrance for guests, the housekeeper was nice and friendly, I was also given an Istanbul tourist guide handbook on my arrival which was a lovely surprise and very helpful during my stay, Suphi also got in touch with me the moment I confirmed my booking and confirmed my reservation personally which I appreciated a lot as a traveler. Suphi can also arrange a taxi pickup for you from the airport incase you need one.

There is no sound proofing between the floors, if you are on the lower floor you will hear everything from footsteps, people going up and down the stairs, conversations, someone turning on the shower, I had to sleep during the day when there was less activity and go out at night but overall it is a lovely hotel and I enjoyed my stay.

Seccond time stay , best location comfortable bed and room and best Host ever.

Very poor

No phone to contact reception, place not clean at all, towels, bed and blankets not clean, reception closed most of the time, outside noise at night is very annoying
