    Pros +

    • Personal is kind and helpful.Room is clean enough, well-equipped, has everything including iron and hairdryer. Very good beds.Location is very good, just in the center.Breakfast is tasty.
    • The staff was really friendly. Accidentally the shower broke and they repaired it immediately. The area is quiet and close to both - the port and the old town, the apartment is spacious, and it has all the basics. Overall, a pleasant stay!
    • The staff were helpful. The room provided was spacious. Good for a family.

    Cons -

    • - Cleaness is not exceptional: hairs in the bathroom, dirty light switchers.- Some equipment, walls needs to be renovated.- Be ready for: cat's smell on the stairs, the street where the hotel located is quite dirty. The window view is very unpleasant. No warming. We were on the last floor and there were a long curved ladder, no elevator. But is is still worth booking if you are not expecting beautiful surrounding and can do stairs. It is visible that the owner tries to provide the maximum possible comfort to the guests.
    • Since I was fasting I asked the staff to pack my breakfast for later. Most of the days it was only bread and mini (10-15mg) jam, honey, butter, and cream cheese (many of these) and eggs. Only once during my 14-day stay did I get a proper Turkish style breakfast with veggies and cheese.
    • The location is not accessible by taxi as its in a no entry area. The access road is on an elevation.. Breakfast was below average, needs improvement.

I liked that the property was close to the center and that it was on the ground floor. I liked the strong wifi. I liked that there were kitchen facilities for a longer stay. The bed in the bedroom was large and comfortable.

The property is located 10 minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar, in a fairly modest area, but with quiet and friendly people. The room was not the best cleaned (in the bathroom I found hair from the previous guests), there are signs of wear on the furniture, the shower cabin, on the floor. I rented a suite to sleep separately from my son, but the sofa was not extendable. The breakfast was quite "thin" and did not contain anything from the traditional Turkish cuisine. The quality-price ratio was not good. I paid 168 Euros for two nights (of which the first was New Year's Eve), and from January 3rd the price dropped to 72 Euros for two nights, a fair price by the way.

Staff were helpful & very accomodative, decent breakfast, and good location.

Steep hill towards grand bazaar and sofa was not that clean.

Comfortable, Well stocked kitchen area. Good quiet location. Staff friendly+helpful. Seperate balcony area for my smoker friend.

    Maybe a lift would help.

The way how the staff, Nijri and Elvin, were talking care of customers, they were always there for help or advise. Crispy clean bedding and towels, well working facilities. we felt like we were home. Great breakfast. Everything was done with class and dignity.

    Nothing to complain about

We were only staying about 10 hours, we had a comfortable night sleep.

    Location was a bit dodgy

    7FranzettePosted on: 9-6-2024

Friendly and helpful staff, good value for money. If was comfortable in size.

The hotel is on an uphill, if you need to walk with luggage or shopping it can be a bit exhausting

Location. Staff; both attendants and the manager were very helpful and responded positively to all our requests. Breakfast; not much varied but very healthy and filling. Rooms had all the basic needs. The cat ?‍⬛

Only if they could instal an AC in the second room too.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped for what we needed. The air conditioning in the living room is sufficient. The laundry and kitchen were appropriate. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast served was sufficient. The property was also well located to supermarkets, and great restaurants in the Kumkapi area.

The apartment does not have air conditioning in the bedroom. During hot weather, this can be quite difficult as the room gets very hot.

Very clean and spacious, well equipped with kitchen fridge, washing machine

    1BogdanPosted on: 5-4-2024

    Misereble.

The smell in the room was awful.Dirty all around the hotel and very crowded. They say you can park your car at their location, but they don't say you have to leave your car key with them so they can play with your car as they like.

The staff were fantastic, their English was not always great, but certainly better than my Turkish. We enjoyed having a flat with a washing machine and cooking facilities and breakfast included. There are some steep streets but we still walked all most everywhere. The flat was clean and there were plenty of restaurants and mini markets nearby.

No lift and 23kg luggage. We were on the 4th floor, so this was an issue but the staff carried our bags up. My main concern here was safety inside the apartment. Smoke detectors were covered and the cook top was a whole other issue. It’s not been installed correctly and sits over the cutlery drawer. You can’t open the drawer because the cooktop transformer sits inside it, so you have to lift up the cook top to open the drawer. Try remembering that before you cook otherwise it’s too late.

The staff were super helpful, even though limited English. Thankyou.

Aircon only in living area. No plug for the sink. The vanity was cracked and plumbing loose. The fry pan was so scratched it wasn't usable, the colander had a big chunk missing and most cooking things were greasy. So did not cook there! The towels in the room, one left from a previous person? One had a huge stain, had to ask for more. Air con controller had no batteries. A clump of red hair on the sofa. Wiring hanging out from the wall in the bathroom. The place just felt unclean. The apartment is located on a very steep hill in a semi industrial area. If limited mobility, then not for you. It was quiet in the evenings.

This great apartment had everything we needed. The apartment is surprisingly bigger than expected, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is farther from the sights of the Old Istanbul but very close to all the shops one needs and not a long walk to the tourist attractions. We would definitely stay here again when next in Istanbul.

    Absolutely nothing.

    8MassimoPosted on: 4-2-2024

Position. In 5 minutes walking you are at the grand bazar. The staff is always friendly and helpful. For example, we asked whether we could have the breakfast anticipated or one hour and they said immediately “yes”.

The flat needs little refurbishing here and there. Note that flats have no elevator. Fine for us but not for everyone. We were at the top flat that means four floors.

    4HalaPosted on: 1-10-2024

The hosts are very nice and they go out of their way to help wherever they can. They have two cute cats. But that is it.

I don't know where to start, but please save your money and go somewhere else. Read the reviews carefully and don not rely on the numbers, because how this property has a score of 9 is beyond my comprehension.First, this place is in an obscure, shady alley where cars cannot enter. The taxi dropped me off the street, and I had to drag my suitcases and a child and walk for a bit to reach the building. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who gave us the keys and checked us in. Our flat was on the FOURTH floor and NO ELEVATOR. The bedroom opens on a walled balcony, so there is no airflow or sun light. It was so stuffy. The living room was on the other side of the flat; it had an AC, but it was very far from the bedroom; the AC does not do much. After complaining about the fourth-floor flat, they moved me to a room in their adjacent hotel on the 1st floor. But now I had to pay for a flat and stay in a normal hotel room. No refund, no discount.Breakfast was below average, and it was a set menu. A cheese platter and an omelet for the first day. A cheese platter and a desert the second day.The "garden restaurant" is a small room with 8 tables that reeks of cats' pee. I picked this place because I read in the description that it was close to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. It is NOT. Hagia Sofia is a 21-minute walk. Grand Bazzar is 10 minutes walk UPHILL. There are tens of hotels, much closer. There are no taxis around. For the amount of money I paid, I could have had a much better place.

the price, the friendly staff, the breakfast which was limited but very good(delicious)

looked better in pictures than in real life, furniture and walls looked a little aged; half shady location, parking at location is not invoiced and you need to leave your car keys to some guys there(from the nearby small hotel)
