- The hotel owner, Ali, is awesome! The location is perfect — you can walk to most of Istanbul’s must-see attractions. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby with great prices too. Highly recommend!
- The room is generally clean, bed sheets, pillow cases , floor and restroom, Ali Bey in the reception is welcoming and always available for help and replies quickly and will get in contact once you reserve your stay... thank you, mr.Ali
- The owner Ali Bey was very kind and helpful. He was very quick and open with his communication.
Cons -
- We’re from the USA and have a high sensitivity to mold due to past exposure. Our room on the top floor had some mold, and we noticed symptoms during our stay. It’s an awesome hotel overall with a great location and friendly staff, but if you’re sensitive to mold, make sure to request a room that’s been checked and is mold-free.
- The restroom smells muggy a little bit , unpleasant humid due to bad ventilation but bearable, though....the stairs to your room is steep, not for elderly people @all ,no elevator and the room size smaller than Advertised for sure....the air-condition for end of September was perfect but I think in summer, I am not sure... overall, a pleasant stay and good value for your money.
- No heating system in the room

Location is great, near to main attractions. Price is very reasonable. Owner brother Ali is a very helpful and approachable person. He went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and memorable. He helped us with transportation a lot. He was always available and responds promptly when we needed him.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel – the room was clean and cozy, the location was great, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. What made our stay truly special was the host, who was always ready to help and make sure we felt comfortable.
The owner is amazing person very kind and helpful
No heating system in the room
This is a wonderful hotel. Special thanks to the owner of the hotel, answered all our questions and helped in any way he could. Very clean. Snow white linen and towels. Very good location: 10 minutes to Sultanahmet.
It would be great if there were slippers
While by no means luxurious, the hotel is at an excellent location, several minutes walk from the major must-see landmarks in the historic old part of Istanbul, surrounded by restaurants and shops that work until late. The basement room we stayed at was clean and had all the necessities that are listed and you get a great value for the low price. The biggest positive was the host - Mr. Ali. He was extremely helpful, available non-stop and has an infectious personality.
Even though it's inexpensive and fulfilled our needs, some things might be a deal-breaker if you're looking for more hotel-like experience and plan to spend more time in the room than walking around the city. The air in the room was stale and the sound isolation isn't great, as I could often hear noise from other rooms, the hotel entrance and outside. There aren't power sockets near the bed. The place was clean, but the furniture and toilet appeared old and weren't the most comfortable.
Ali is awesome and the room is clean and spacious also its close to public transportation and all the cool stuff
-convenient location-owner who is always ready to help -cleanliness
The rooms were a little small but the location is excellent. The staff is really friendly and helped us with a lot of things. Our flight was cancelled due to a blizzard so the hotel manager also managed to extend our period with the same rate. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in Istanbul.
The bathroom did not have an exhaust so it tend to gehumid and wet regularly.
Near the center. Walking distance to restaurants.Ali - the host was super nice and helpful.
Room and bathroom were a bit humid. It could be due to the fact it was in the basement.
I recently stayed at Bereket Travel during my solo trip, and it was a truly wonderful experience! As a solo traveler, I often look for places that offer both comfort and a welcoming atmosphere—and this hotel exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at ease, offering helpful tips about the area and ensuring that I felt safe and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated the personal touch they added to make me feel like a valued guest. The room itself was cozy, clean, and perfect for a solo stay. It had everything I needed—comfortable bed, good lighting, and all the essential amenities. The location of the hotel was ideal for a solo traveler, with key attractions and public transportation options nearby. It felt safe to explore on foot, and the hotel staff gave great recommendations for solo-friendly activities and dining spots.Overall, Bereket Travel Hotel was a fantastic choice for my solo adventure. The blend of excellent service, comfort, and a great location made my trip memorable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling alone or with someone. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!
The owner was very helpful.Rooms were very clean.Location is ideal for visiting the historical old city.
Room was basic but functional with everything you need and excellent value for the price. Ali was a fantastic host and was happy to go above and beyond to provide anything his guests might need. Great location.
Bathroom could be better and some noises at night.
This apartment-style accommodation offers a convenient and budget-friendly option compared to other hotels in the area. While it's more like an apartment than a traditional hotel, it provides good value for the price. It suggests a more homely atmosphere than a typical hotel.A standout feature of this property is the owner, Ali. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, always checking in to ensure our stay was going smoothly and offering assistance with anything we needed. For example, he arranged a reasonably priced taxi for our early morning flight, taking care of all the details. Ali's exceptional hospitality truly made our stay more enjoyable and compensated for any minor shortcomings of the property itself. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the tram station and approximately 30 minutes from the nearest metro. Navigating the neighborhood with its narrow streets can be a little challenging at first, but we quickly got used to it. There's a charming small park just 5 minutes away, along with small shops and restaurants (though expect tourist prices in this area). Our room on the second floor was spacious and well-equipped. When we requested additional dishes, they were readily provided. While the room itself was fine, the narrow staircase might be a consideration for guests with mobility issues. If you're looking for budget-friendly, apartment-style accommodation, this place is a good choice. I recommend it, especially because of Ali's outstanding hospitality.
One area that needs improvement is the plumbing. The bathroom was cold, and there was a water leak on the floor. We also heard water dripping in the room above us, suggesting a potential plumbing issue there as well.
Perfect location, the Hagia Sophia was located aprox. A 10min walk away. You could walk another 12min for the closest tram connection, and 15min for the closest metro connection. The Hotel was super clean! It was cleaned every other 2 days. Ali was a super nice host, made sure I had everything I needed and continuously stayed in touch with me to see if I was okay or needed anything. Super thoughtful and helpful. The prices he suggested for services (e.g. taxis, phone cards, etc.) were super fair, so you would not have to go to another place to get them done, they would be the same, if not more. I think this hotel was amazing value for the price I paid! Definitely enjoyed my stay and this will most likely be my go-to place for a long time!!
The location is amazing, everything can be reached easily. The owner Ali is a very nice and really helpful person. He truly does care about the guests and trying to help all over during the stay.
Ali was helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to help us. The location is perfect, only a 15-minute walk from the tourist attractions. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Do not expect a luxury apartment. The apartment has everything you need, a shower, toilet, sink, kettle, fridge, bed, and wardrobe. Excellent price for the location.
Ali was spectacular! Very friendly, smiling, wanting to help and always available for questions or support. The location is fabulous. Walking distance to the shopping while still being in a cheaper area with well priced restaurants. And a great price! Good WiFi, quiet, roads taxis can drive on. Everything you want!
