Location is difficult and entrance door is so small, barely noticiable from other homes Also not handicapped access You have to get stairs of 2 floors to get to our room

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ottopera Hotel, because the staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive, during my stay. I will highly recommend the Ottopera Hotel to everyone I know.

well located. easy to access from Istanbul airport. lots of food and market options on walking distance. friendly neighborhood.

for pricing purposes, i chose the basement room. there is no window. so it gets hot.

Quiet location.

Fridge didn’t work. Temperature control was opening the window.

This is my second time staying at the same hotel.Everything was great overall as like the last time we have stayed here.The staff was amazingly helpful that they have helped me to take my heavy luggage to the upstairs. Recommend staying here to everyone..

Near to taxim square

I did not like the receptionist as he was extremely rude only the night reception guy was nice .. roomWas not cleaned even though we put sign on the door.. we had no hot water and they gave us torn up linen.. also note that the room was a non smoking room but it stank as if 10 people smoked same time which made the linen stink .. disgraceful and will never go there again

Will not use bookingdotcom again- the descriptions of OTTOPERA hotel on bookingdotcom IS NOT accurate, was plain deceit.Important things:Smoking by staff right at entrance door all Day and night non stop and smoke goes all over reception and up to second floor rooms.I could not open windows above entrance all week.Cleanliness was lacking, it was horribly filthy in fact.my suite was not clean, bed was not made they just left a folded blanket (allegedly clean) and a pillow on the bed.The floors were filthy, the bathroom was also not clean. Booking said free toiletries, there was non only a tiny packaged round soap.Also said suite has air conditioning - this is preset to run for 5 minutes and it auto shuts. So the heat will wake you up every hour in the night due to heat in room, sweating and overheated from hot summer Istanbul nights.The Tiny single packages of coffee and tea left on a top bulky for room size dresser are only complimentary for the first night. They don’t even offer them after that, I bought them at the corner grocery store.No guests or visitors allowed but what bothered me is you are told via message after you have already booked, it should be disclosed prior to booking non refundable rooms.Reception guy confronted me and was very rude and upset because I placed my complaints of his all night smoking through my travel agent, so he would smoke even more in retaliation and hotel owners don’t care because you have already paid in advance.Also all these rules should be specified in advance on bookingdotcomIn fact bookingdotcome just ghosted me.I recommend that you do not make your reservations on bookingdotcom or this hotel if you want a smoke free room & environment.and if you must do only refundable bookings. I would have canceled after my first night.You do need a smoke free space after a day of exploring Istanbul as 90% of people smoke everywhere.

Everything even the stair steps are dangerous, no elevator.

The third time in this hotel. Love it! Got upgrade for the better room with garden and terrace. Close to the airport bus. Close to taxim. Best value.

Great location, clean and staff super

The location of the hotel it's really very good , the staff is friendly and respectful and the room clean .

The staff tried to help, but the facility is outdated and there were many problems with the room

It sounded like a good place to stay and when we went to another hotel close by, the place was less money and much nicer and closer to where we wanted to spend most of our time.

Horrible Morning

The room was made up, an annex covered with glass and curtains. The sink was broken. They served us breakfast room after 8 o'clock because they didn't have a restaurant. Even though we asked them to bring it to us at 8 o'clock, they brought it later. Breakfast was a disaster: 2 thin pieces of salami, 4 olives, a small tomato divided into 2 parts, 3 cucumbers and half an omelette per person. Even though we asked them twice to bring us coffee, they brought us tea. A disaster with itself. I suggest you avoid it because the breakfast is cheating. (Look at the attached pictures for the breakfast)

I recommend this hotel because it is quiet, beautiful and clean. And big thank from my heart for mr emre

The location

First of all I have felt controlled by the receptionists while my stay, someone wanted to visit me just one hour but the receptionist for ask it 250 Turkish lira. This is unacceptable.Secondly, the towels were stinky and not clean. The shower was not functioning properly and it was too small I was not able brush my teeth, there is no space in the bathroom.

Everything. The staff was really helpful. They upgraded our stay. The room was tidy and very clean. It smelled nicely. The air conditioning was very strong which was really good. It was really calm at night we did not hear any noise. The price for stay was very convenient as well.

Very good position to get to the Taksim square (5-7 min walk), a small but comfy room, with air conditioning, kettle and tea bags. Nice building. Can recommend.

Breakfast is served in the room, you have to call the reception when you are ready: one day it was served rapidly, another time I had to wait for more than 40 minutes.

Location was very convenient for commuting to Istanbul Airport - Havabus is just 10 minutes away and Istiklal street round the corner.

Not particularly clean and sort of dusty. Strange noise out of the ventilation system during the night, it didn't really matter for a short sleepover, but for longer stays - not an option.

The stuff was really helpful and great , the location is really good to close to taksim square , the neighborhood was great all is available 1-2 min .I did like the balcony as I was staying in 3 rd floor .The breakfast was good , they delivered to your room once you ask for it .Room is clean .
