Staff. I forget the young man¿s name but he was pleasant and very helpful.

The room was clean but there seemed to be a permanent stench of cigarettes. I¿m sensitive to the smell so it really bothered my nose and stomach.

The staff is amazing Accommodations well maintained Many great restaurants nearby Only a block from Dorock Heavy Metal We just completed our 4th stay at the New Pera, and will stay again many times in the future.

Wish we could visit more often. (Profile lists us from America. We reside in North Cyprus)

A bit older property but gets the job done well. Spacious 2 bed room with required amenities. It is Located in slightly silent area which is a plus point in the busy nearby street.

Building is old and there is no elevator. But they will help you carry bags up the stairs, so it’s OK.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. First of all, it is extremely loud around the property, and the windows do nothing to block the noise. At 12:47 am, the music outside was so loud that it was impossible to relax or sleep.On top of that, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The apartment was not clean when I arrived — there was hair on the sheets, and the cups were dirty, which made me question the overall hygiene standards.For the price I paid, I expected at least a comfortable and clean stay, but this was far from it. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values rest, cleanliness, and basic comfort.

There is no elevator. I was carrying a heavy baggage with myself and was kind of demanding to carry the baggage to the third floor. The wall next to the bed was a little bit dirty.

Very helpful staff offering great customer service. The guy at the reception made me feel welcome and at home. The location of the hotel is top. Small and quiet street but steps from major attractions, restaurants, etc. It is a pretty basic hotel, a budget one, so don't expect much. Good value for the money.

My window was facing an ugly wall, no natural light. The squeaking floor on the neighbor's room. .

Location was convinient, it is near Taksim square. Excellent location for travelers who want to explore Istanbul's hot spots. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing great value for guests' money.

The hotel has an ideal location, close to many sights, restautants and cafés. The staff was helpful and kind. My room was really spacious and clean. Great value for money. Deffinitely recomnend.

The room was very spacious for one person, clean, with a small fridge and comfortable bed. Heating worked well and after a short wait, there was enough hot water in shower. I was sole traveller in a triple room as there was a double bed plus a single bed. The rustic decor with dark wood details was to my taste personally. Ideal location close to Istiklal and Nevizade sokak bars & restaurants, 10 min on foot to Taksim square, 15-20 min to Airport Havabus. Friendly, helpful, flexible owner. Good wifi. For the price I paid for hotel accommodation in late February (and start of Ramadan) in Istanbul, good value.

I knew there was no elevator, but to my horror the stairs up to the third floor were steeper than in Sistine Chapel ?. Without the owner's help I could never have managed to get my luggage up or down. For the same reason I tried to make sure I only had to climb up or down once a day. So this hotel is definitely not for the elderly, young children or anyone with moving disability or heart condition.There was no password/qrcode or instructions in the room to connect to wifi, so had to run all the way down again for that... Even though cozy, the room was oddly and unpractically furnished with two bar stools that you couldn't really sit on because there was no table, so for me they served as clothes racks. There was no night stand next to the big doublebed to even put a glass, coffee cup or knick knacks on so I ended up knocking over a glass of water on my bed a few times (luckily it wasn't red wine). An issue easily solved within minutes by installing a small shelf above the bed... View from the standard room was grim so I mainly kept the curtains shut.I travel A LOT and I always choose minimum 3 star hotels to meet certain standards. There are always three prerequisites I have for the room: 1) Good size TV with international satellite channels for news first thing in the morning and last thing at night, 2) coffee making facilities for first thing in the morning and 3) fast wifi. There was a small TV with two English news channels (ANews and TRTWorld). However, it was positioned sideways in the corner so couldn't watch it from bed. The TV set would not turn on without the owner fiddling with it and the remote control for a good five minutes. After turning it off, the same bloody thing again. So I gave up after the second day and watched BBC on my tablet for the rest of my stay. There were coffee making facilities - in principle. A kettle, a few mugs, and two small cups of water on arrival.

The staff at New Pera went above and beyond to help me out & accommodate me, the rooms were cleaned often and very nicely, comfortable beds. It's in a lovely street that's really safe and stands out from the rest of Taksim. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe in the area of the hotel and the reception staff (and Koray in particular!!) was always there to help.

My shower had a tiny leak and there wasn't any tea/coffee/cutlery in the room, but these are minor issues that shouldn't deter any travellers.

The hotel is very well located close to Taksim square and the main Istanbul shopping street

It was really annoyed because almost one hour before the check-out the cleaning lady was knocking in my door to do the check out because she needed to clean that left the door like this in the photo before my check out, also run out paper toilet and even leaving the sign that the room could be tidy it wasn’t. The price is fairy for the location I’d recommend to find another place in the surroundings.
