Skymoon Istanbul Airport Hotel

Staff were very cordial. Hotel is clean but not a 4-star by any measure.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Probably more like a 2 or 3 star at most.

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the hotel was nice and clean. The best part is that it’s conveniently located near the airport.

Nothing really. The only 'positive' thing I could think of is the proximity to the airport. That's about it

Everything. Right off the bat, you find yourself in a place you never thought existed before. Walls are as thin as paper, not only do you hear everything your neighbors say or do, you even hear them flushing the toilet which is next door. No hot water in the evening. Cold as in a refrigerator (despite turning the ac unit, that is). Constant car noise which far from helping you sleep, adds up to the annoying experience. Now, imagine yourself where not only your neighbors next door are making noise but also right above you, they were throwing suitcases left and right for God knows what reason, car noises and sometimes airplanes taking off.. There were some ofd stains on the walls (i'm assuming humidity) that they just left there, as decoration. Breakfast was below average. They pour an entire bag of salt on your scrambled eggs w/out even asking. If what you're looking for is a sleepless and endless night, this is definitely your go to place. Never again. I'd rather pay extra next time and stay on a decent hotel. Too bad I didn't read negative ratings before booking this. Save your money, trust me.

The hotel had a Nice woman on reception, who was Very Good at her job, I enjoyed the breakfast, the hotel is nice and clean.

The hotel was everything I expected it to be - a budget hotel near the airport. It had all the essentials - beds, a shower, and shampoo. The staff was nice and helpful, especially considering that we arrived at 5 am and were leaving at 5 am the next day. The hotel offers a taxi service for an extra fee.

The pillows were rather stiff, but it's a personal preference, not the hotel's fault

Convenient for an overnight flight connection , taxi from the airport is only 10€ and the bus a lot less, 10 minutes away from the airport, staff was super kind and provided an outstanding service.

The cleanness is not the best, the bathroom was dirty and the shower too, the bed had old stains and it was very doubtful, the hotel is okay for one night, and in my opinion just for overnight flight connection, for touristing Istanbul is very far away (more than one hour).

Was comfortable, friendly staff and very close to bus stop of H-6 bus to and from the airport.

The staff was friendly and the airport is really close. Slippers that were provided were a pleasant surprise.

The hotel is on a very busy street, with lot of loud traffic during the night. The window couldn't be closed properly, so there was no way to decrease significantly the noise from outside (earplugs are a must, I'd say). We were there for less then 6 hours, but we didn't get much sleep. The tea/coffee maker was filled with water when we arrived, so it looks like it hasn't been cleaned.

Nice location by the main road with grocery stores and restaurants. Towels were clean. Bus stop is nearby. But I didn’t see buses at 5 am. So went to airport by the car.

The external walls are made of plasterboard and thin glass. No sound isolation! You can hear the cars. Pillows are very uncomfortable. So slept without them. Very stuffy!

The pictures make it look like a proper hotel but reality is far from it. The room didn’t have a proper brick wall so there was too much noise coming from the window. Infact there was light coming from the wall because they covered the glass windows with a shabby wallpaper to make it look like a wall. Bathroom didn’t have a proper exhaust. Paper thin walls. Could hear other people packing in their rooms, walking etc For the money it was okay I guess but the pictures are really overstated so don’t think you’re getting that fancy a room for this price

Great place for a short stay especially if you have a long layover before your flight out of Istanbul Airport. Nice tidy room, air conditioning, not much else to ask for.Staff was very accommodating with my late check in request and they called me a cab to the airport as well.Overall, I would stay there again and I recommend this place.

I'm not picky, so the place is a great value for your money. I'd probably suggest a different place if you want to be in the city though.

Location near the airport

Zero sound isolation, looks like outer walls are made of plastic, the hotel is on a busy road, it's very noisy. Make sure you take earplugs. Breakfast: it's not buffet, you have to wait for them to prepare it, you don't have options. And they serve French fries for breakfast (((

Location is ideal, the bus stop for bus H6 that takes you to the airport is right outside the hotel. I stayed for night as I had to catch a morning flight. The bus ride took 15 minutes. Good price and location.

The AC

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I travel through Istanbul often and usually stay in 3-star hotels nearby that are much better. This so-called 4-star felt more like a 2-star.No soundproofing — you hear every word from next door. Thin windows let in constant street noise, so bring earplugs. The bed is too soft and the pillows are bulky and hard, resulting in back and neck pain. Room was not clean — I found hair on the sheets and pillows.Wi-Fi is extremely slow (around 2 Mbps). Only local TV channels, no English. No key card system, just an outdated heavy iron key on a metal chain. The only positive was the quiet AC and the staff giving me a power adapter.Plenty of better, cleaner, quieter hotels in the area — many at lower prices. Definitely won’t stay here again.

Hotel is 14km away from IST Airport.

Poor Breakfast. No coffee , no butter and only one omelette for two people.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the room was terribly hot and humid at checkin. The road was also a bit loud even late at night
