Grand Emir Hotel Old City

Close to Grand Bazaar, fairly close to public transportation

Noisy neighborhood day/night, people speaking loudly in the hallways and the lobby, small bathroom, disappointing breakfast (only cheese and jams), my taxi from the airport could not get to the hotel's front (had to carry my luggage through hilly alleys)

Was clean, good location, reserved the wrong date but they helped to change,

May try to put better prices

This is nice, little hotel with polite staff and good rooms. Hotel is situated in old city commercial area, very close to Kapali carsi but also Aja Sofia and Blue Mosque. There are plenty of restaurants as well as transportation possibilities like trams, metro etc.

Best location with tram stop and metro station nearby. Nice view on the Marmara sea. Pretty good breakfast with fruits, vegetables, salads, pastries, cheese, juices and coffee. Friendly staff who tries to solve your problems

It qas very hot inside the room, and there was any AC, only heater, which worked even when turned off.

Room was very small and hot. Some fixtures such as the shower head and door knobs were damaged.

Location is the best possible, staff is great and friendly, rooms are cleaned every day, clean towels every day.Breakfast is ok also, same every day, but you can find something to eat

The cleaning Lady cleaned the room properly. The room was clean .

Location is very scary , you must make sure you back before it’s dark. Food was horrible , could only eat bread. The food station was so dirty and the staff didn’t clean cups and when you ask they pretend they can’t speak English.The staff not friendly at the front desk , we were not welcomed. I don’t know if it’s because we were from Africa or what only them can explain. The other guests had to assist us with moving around. Taxi drivers are also crooks .

The staff was noisey and they woke up us very early in the morning plus the room was literally in the basement with no windows and proper air circulation.

It is not a very good hotel, regardless of the price.

Dirty, the bed is not comfortable ,the bathroom is not working properly.

Shower door wouldn't close -they fixed it by pushing it in the other way, so you would open by pushing it inwards. Shower head was loose and water pushing everywhere. They replaced the head but still water leaking out the joint.One piece of a curtain so entire windows is not covered. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms. WORST WAS NO DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE IN ROOMS.Breakfast was same thing every day. Chipped cups. Dirty out of the dishwasher. If you came down after 8am, had to wait for crockery to be washed as there was nothing available. Terrible sewer smell everyday in bathrooms, in the afternoons.No English TV channels.Heating was HIGH. Could not regulate your own room as its apparently done centrally. Terribly hot and uncomfortable. Could not sleep as room was unbearably hot.1 elevator which takes 1 person. Not hotel's fault, but such dirty guests, left tables in a state, egg yolks laying on table, egg shells on chairs, corn salad strewn on table - and the poor gentleman in restaurant had to clean up after them.Guests just speak outside room door on speaker, late at night without consideration for other guests instead of speaking in their own room. No soundproofing. And guests who have their kids watching TikTok on full volume in dining area, is just rude and disrespectful.

Same breakfast every day was bit boring but the location was perfect.

Despite some disappointing aspects of our stay at Grand Amir Hotel, the housekeeping service was excellent. The cleaning staff cleaned the room daily, ensuring it was well-maintained. We truly appreciate their effort.

Very bad experience at Grand Amir Hotel. We were given the worst room in the basement, dark and poorly ventilated. Upon departure, we requested to leave our bags for evening pickup, but they refused unless we collected them by 5 PM. Moreover, during breakfast, cups were unavailable, and we had to wait a long time for them to be brought. Completely unsatisfactory service, and I will not be returning to this hotel.

The location is perfect, the staff also are good, especially Maradona very kind and helpful person

The room was not like the pictures posted in the booking we made, we refused to enter that room without window, but after our insistence they were forced to accommodate us in another room with window.
