    • All the staff was amazing and friendly, specially the manager Amir thank you for your kindness ?.The hotel inside and outside is amazing very clean.Breakfast was amazing and I wouldn't change anything.Pool could you use a little cleaning but still very clean very good. Spa, Sauna and hamam was amazing as well.
    • Excellent location. East metro, tram, and bus access. Close to historic sites. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly.
    • A perfect hotel in a good location, not far from the historical center. Breakfast was delicious.

    Cons -

    • Everything.
    • Old hotel. Hallways smell like smoke, which is attempted to be covered by cheap air fresheners. Dirty pool, disappointing breakfast. Never again
    • The street was being redone. The front sidewalk was torn up. They put a cinder block and another smaller brick on top as a step. Not safe and our first impression of the hotel. Was difficult to communicate with staff. I realize English is not their language but it’s a hotel, should be able to communicate. The spa seemed disorganized, staff was not very nice, could barely communicate with anyone. Ran out of locker space in ladies dressing room, gave us a locker in men’s dressing room. Housekeeper knocked on our door super early one morning. Did not have do not disturb sign on the door, but was very early. Was looking forward to a good breakfast but it was awful. Terrible coffee, warm milk, orange juice wasn’t real, food was nasty, except the cucumbers and tomato were ok. Canned fruit. Small shower, vinyl bottom.

    I

I checked in on the 4th December 2024 at around 08h00 in the morning. When I arrived at the hotel there were 3 guys. A tall guy Malatya Abdulhamid, Ugur and another one behind the counter who assisted with my check-in. Malatya helped with my bags. Ugur started as led me where I am from while I was busy checking in and got excited and all three guys gathered around. I got distracted and didn't realize the guy did not give me back my passport when checking in as they were all chatting with me asking questions about my country. I checked out on the 6th December and Malatya organised me a taxi to take me to Sabiha Airport. Fortunately I had left early to avoid the afternoon peak hour traffic. Upon arrival at the airport as I was checking in I could not find my passport. I called the hotel and they had my passport at reception For the two days I was there nobody bothered to return my passport. They then promised to send it with a taxi and I had to pay 38 US$ for the taxi to bring my passport. I had to pay for their fault! I nearly missed my flight back to my country. The taxi driver was very rude and demanded 56US $ instead of 38US$. I did not report this incident with Booking.con as I needed to talk to the hotel staff in person as I should be compensated the 38$ I paid for their taxi and the inconvenience. Today, now (4th February 2025 at 08:49 I'm at Amethyst Hotel. I spoke to Ugur and Malta and they are arrogant and saying it doesn't matter and that it was my responsibility to get my passport from them. Since when are guests allowed to go behind the counter and take their passport from the photocopier? Since when are guests allowed to do their own check-in? They are now rude and arrogant about it. I had also booked early check-in which was confirmed and now their are being spiteful and are refusing telling me check in is at 14:00. Is this the attitude we should be getting from Staff at Amethyst Hotel in Laleli, Istanbul?

The breakfasts are very tasty. The spa area looks adorable. The receptionist was very friendly and professional.

some of the rooms are smaller than advertised. As the hotel was booked, only had the possibility to change the room without extra cost after two days.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The location was convenient as well.

When I entered the hotel, there was a bad smell that never went away.

Attentive staff;Good location;Plenty of food to choose from for breakfast.

Staff could improve English in order to ease communication;Heard kids shouting from next room.

    9MarvisPosted on: 12-11-2024

    Breakfast was nice.

The waiting staff, spoke no English. As an international hotel, the services offered by the supervisor during dinner was very poor and a bit aggressive.

It was my first stay in Amethyst Hotel. Who is coming for business - it's a PERFECT LOCATION! Hotel staff are very friendly, polite and understanding, very professional and helpful. I had some issues with the room, and everything has been sorted straight away. Very appreciate! I stayed in room 701 and had a sea view. In the room: tea/coffee facilities, bottles of water complimentary, bathrobes and slippers, toiletries, good water pressure, TV, very comfy bed and bedding, good lighting in the room and bathroom. Public transport is close to the hotel. Historical places also in 5 minutes walk. During the night, it was very quiet in the hotel, and I didn't hear neighbours at all, but the hotel was almost fully booked.

There is only one thing I would like to say for Hotel Management. New hotel refurbishment is fantastic, but if Housekeeping will not take care of the rooms, and will not clean up to the standard- you will need to do refurbishment very soon again, and you will have a lot of not nice reviews from the guests in future.

The stay was really good. The staff were super super friendly and looked after us so well.I would like to personally thank the maid Hulia on the 5th floor. She was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us .Also the front of house staff, Huseyn, Ozcan and Emre E. they were superbly professional and courteous I highly recommend staying here.

We were unable to pay by card in the spa.
