The Story Hotel Pera

The staff was wonderful. They were very supportive after a horrific experience with two taxis trying to find the hotel. When I left, I paid the hotel staff and they paid the taxi driver so there was no confusion. The location was great.

For some reason, the taxis had a hard time finding it. My son could easily locate it with Google maps, but my experience with the taxi drivers was very bad.

The location and the staff were both 10/10 (even 11/10!). The room was also beautiful.

Not a thing. Phenomenal value for the money, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The staff were friendly and tried very hard to fix any problems. They also made recommendations about restaurants and things to do in the area.

The hotel entrance is awkward as it is on a very steep small street that you must navigate to get to the main street.

WiFi didn't work for the first day and we told inconsistent reasons by staff members. Asked for a restaurant recommendation and they sent us to the most touristy place in the neighborhood (in a neighborhood with great food). Girlfriend got bug bites.

Very nice hotel, near a main street with lots of shopping. Also, just down the street from Community Kitchen, which is where I wanted to go to dinner the night we were there (delicious!). Front desk clerk was very nice. Room was great and clean.

Our room had only symbolic windows, almost no real daylight.

The location of the hotel, very close to Metro and is located in one of busiest street in Istanbul. Staffs are very very helpful and polite, always willing to answer your questions.

Hotel seems a bit too small and for 4-stars hotel it doesn't have the utilities (no swimming pool, no gym/spa, etc.)

The hotel is unsuitable for families especially if you have any children with you.There is a bar on the top of the hotel and directly below, there is drunk people roaming the hotel causing disturbances at night making it hard to sleep. Sometimes you would hear people dragging a bag of trash filled with glass down the stairs and the floor would leave a trail at night.The elevator is not working most of the time.We had 2 rooms, one of which the internet connection did not work since day 1, and the other stopped working in the last few days.One of the rooms bidet was broken.One of the rooms had no hot water for showering, so we had to go to the other room for showering every single time.We found a booger on one of the blanketsWe found some bugs such as a cricket inside the room.

Everything. Carpet hasn't been replaced in a LONG time, it was very dirty. Night club underneath played loud music until 0100. And most of all, the room was ONLY cleaned, sheets changed and towels replaced when we asked - out of 7 days, 6 night only 3 times!
