LOCATION:The location was excellent. Depending on the room allocation, some rooms offer a beautiful view of the water, the bridge, and the surrounding area. Galata Tower is only about a 5-minute walk away, with plenty of cafés and dining options nearby.BREAKFAST VIEWS:Having breakfast on the rooftop was a lovely experience. The views from the rooftop are beautiful and definitely a highlight.STAFF:The staff were very respectful, pleasant, and professional throughout the stay. They were helpful and welcoming, which made a positive difference.

CHECK-IN TIME:The check-in time was 2:00 PM, which felt quite late compared to many other hotels where check-in is typically around 12:00 PM.ROOM SIZE:The room was very tight and felt unusually small — possibly one of the smallest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. While the bathroom itself was small, the main issue was the shower. The shower base was raised approximately 1–2 feet, which meant that when standing inside, my head was very close to the ceiling. The shower space was extremely limited, with barely enough room to move comfortably.BREAKFAST:The cereal provided was stale, and none of the breakfast items were labelled. As someone unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine, it was difficult to identify the different foods. Given that this is a tourist location, it would have been helpful to have labels in both Turkish and English, as many other hotels do. Breakfast consisted mainly of traditional Turkish items and sweets, with limited variety. It would have been nice to have additional options such as bread for sandwiches or toast. The coffee machine also produced drinks that were very watered down.

On the plus side, the breakfast was good, the view was beautiful, the dinner at the restaurant was great, and the staff were nice.

The hotel I stayed at was a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, the room I was in was a family room, but the windows didn’t close properly at all, and the outside noise and cold air easily came inside, which was really bothersome. Also, whenever someone stood outside smoking at night, the smell of cigarette smoke would come right into the room, which was very annoying, and the room was always cold. On Saturday night, there was a disco behind the hotel that played loud music until 2 AM. I called the reception multiple times, and they said they couldn’t do anything, only that they had called the police, but nothing really happened, and the disco stopped at 2 AM. I’d recommend not booking a room there on Saturday nights, or if you do, choose a room on an upper floor. In general, the windows aren’t in good condition, and sound easily passes through them, and the room stays cold. The street where the hotel is located is filled with building supply stores, and it’s quite hard to find any clothing shops or supermarkets there. The elevator was very small, barely fitting two people, but overall, it was an average hotel.

Everything was perfect including the location and the staff and the breakfast, the best thing about the hotel was Mr. Ali.

The location is perfect, the front desk stuff was very supportive and kind, especially ilker, bro Ali and others. The room is clean and the view is perfect!

Some of the rooms are small, but thanks to the stuff they have upgraded the room to a bigger room with a beautiful view.

The staff are fantastic, and the location is excellent; right in the heart of everything. The rooftop offers a beautiful view, and you can reach most major attractions within a 10–20 minute walk. Breakfast was great as well.

I did not like that a surcharge of €25 per night was required to secure a room on a higher floor. I prefer staying on upper levels to avoid traffic and road noise while working , not only for the view , but unfortunately this option was only available at an additional cost.

Great location with an easy access to the park at the coast, the room had everything nessesary, stuff was friendly, helping us to change the room. A very good breakfast.

Limited Facilities

The view was absolutely the best - nothing could have been better. The room was comfortable, and the hotel is in a perfect, famous location, close to everything. Truly a great stay overall.

Honestly, everything was perfect — there was nothing at all to complain about. The service, cleanliness, comfort, and atmosphere all exceeded expectations.

nice cozy comfortable hotel in the heart of golden horn - very near to all attractions - near by tram line , boats, ferrys to prices island and bosphorus boat tours. almost walking distance and / or nearby public transport.nice park behind the hotel for evening walks and passing time.room was a bit small but comfortable with all amenities and facilities . staff was very helpful and attentive and looked after us very well.breakfast on the roof top was decent with good view of istanbul. all in all a good hotel to explore istanbul history and attractions. the lifts were a bit small but it felt alright after the first day.

We stayed at Istanbul Golden City at the beginning and end of our trip to Türkiye and it was a great place for this. The staff was so friendly and helpful- from Mr. Ali Çelik answering questions before and during our arrival, and Gülsana and Ilker at the front desk. We appreciated the round trip ride services to and from the airport, but most of all, this hotel was so perfectly located for a tourist. The breakfasts here are amazing, and what adds to the experience is the lovely view of Istanbul Old City and the Golden Horn we had daily. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again. We had a family of 4 and got the family suite, which has two connecting rooms. This was also very convenient, and the rooms were comfortable.

Really, nothing.

This is so perfectly located for convenience for the tourist who wants to use public transport and experience all that Istanbul has to offer. Incredible daily views when eating breakfast on the top floor!

A little noisy one night. It’s right near the Golden Horn along a popular tourist spot, but we didn’t mind it.

I totally recommend this place and I will come back whenever I'll visit Istanbul. Amazing view from the room and restaurant. Good breakfast with various dishes.

No problem at all

I have stayed here back in 2015 and again now after 10 years. Hotel outlook may look outdated but still it is a good hotel with exceptionally great views of the city and roof top hotel views are breathtaking, specially at the night. Staff is really helpful and willing to help you in anyway possible. It is located near public transport making it easier to go around the city. You can see galat tower and blue mosque and palace from roof top. Really nice hotel and staff. We had no issue with the cleaning or anything else.
