Ilkbal Deluxe Hotel &Spa Istanbul

There's is absolutely nothing and I say again absolutely nothing that I could possibly like about this hotel, hotel staff, rooms and cleanings of hotel and rooms.

Absolutely horrible service, unfriendly and very unprofessional staff, the hotel is very dirty, there was no toilet papers and paper towels in the toilet in the lobby, rooms is filthy and dirty, bathroom and showers were not useable at all because of mold

Excellent location with sea view. Good breakfast.

No cattle, water, coffee/tea, iron in the room. When requested iron not available most of the time.

It was the Worst experience ever, I don t recommend it to anyone , the reception staff are impolite .They get to our room without our permission they disturb us , we didn’t feel comfortable and safe there . The breakfast was so poooooor

Everything. 0 cleanliness, no one speaks english, walls very thin, old equipment… im really surprised booking let this kind of hotels register as a 4 stars, its definitely not even a 2 stars. Please verify before we sell.

Everything was great. The staff was nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was nice.

Excellent breakfast, lovely staff, very clean room, very good location but very poor facilities, nothing like how they advertise on line.

Breakfast and location.

Pros:-Convenient location in the wholesale stores neighborhood, 15 mins walk away from Grand Bazaar, and public transportation nearby. -Really good and friendly service from most of the staff. -They have a free storage room to store your luggage a few days if needed, including a scale to weigh your luggages or packages. -Breakfast buffet available on site at the top of the building with a view. -Rooms are quite silent, you don't hear your neighbors.

Cons:-The bathroom feels old and small (no place next to the sink for your bag)-The safe lock wasn't working in all 3 rooms we tried, even after asking the hotel to fix it. -The vent in our room was making noise every few minutes, and couldn't be turned off. -The gym had a handful equipments, all broken and seats torned down. -No sea view from the rooms unless you're on floor 6 or 7. -The breakfast isn't tasty, but does the job.

Great location and hotel is very buetyfull room and bathroom very clean and hotel staff and housekeeping staff rameez and arshlan manoj ..and specially Mr. Santosh great and professional.

Very bad experience

The staff were really rude. We booked as a 4 star hotel but the original standard not meeting with the one star hotel room was dirty and very small. Actually we need to get back our money because it was nothing worth to us and even we didn’t spend much time in the hotel.

Location was pretty reasonable

For the first night I was given a room which quite honestly was not even 1 star. Window view was literally of a brick wall and very poor quality, dated furnishings, with a completely substandard bathroom. The room was located right in front of the elevator with the door right next to the bed, you could therefore hear any guests going up and down in the lift.I asked for the room to be changed but they could only facilitate this the next day. The next room was slightly better with a much better city view from the Juliet balcony. However it was still a low-end 3* quality at best. The walls are super thin and so you can hear everything in the next room. The cleaners are extremely inconsiderate and will be shouting and talking loudly (including on their phone over loudspeaker) in the next room early morning, even if you have a do not disturb sign out.The basement swimming pool was off-putting enough for us to not dare enter and the gym was nothing like the photos, it was located on a store closet next to the pool and consisted of a broken multigym, 1 treadmill and 1 rowing machine (not sure if these work because I could not bring myself to even attempt a work out).The staff are not helpful at all and seem pretty clueless. They were unable to provide another room key for one of the room guests when the other was out in the town, which meant waiting for hours to get in to the room. Apparently this was due to hotel protocol and inability to create a further key card, which is bewildering. What if you lose your card?!All in all, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had and is absolutely not worth the relatively expensive cost. Either pay a bit more for a significantly better option or go for another alternative.

Location , breakfeast , restaurant view ,no noise ,good value for money

Rude staff , , the rooms weren't 100% clean , coackroaches in a room , toilet seat wasnt clean , everything they say is "no possible" , in the first day they give us budget rooms while we booked the normal room , and then they invented a new term for the normal room calling it delux , after we debated he told us that our rooms were taken , and tommorow they change the room .(no refound)All of the staff arent interested .

Location

Rooms were not cleaned properly. Swimming pool was filthy. We are convinced we got ill after Swimming in hotel pool. My wife had to have minor surgery in Turkey to remove parasites We believe were caught from the hotel pool. We were all vomiting and had severe diarrhoea including severe stomach cramps. My wife had an antibiotic injection and also has to complete anti viral tablet course. We are still recovering. From Tuesday 1st August we were in bed recovering from illness. . Me and my 2 children took paracetamol and were absolutely exhausted. We had no energy left to enjoy rest of holiday. We complained to management who basically said next time they will give us discount on stay. We won't be going back to hotel ikbal again. We booked through booking. Com in 2017 and stayed at same hotel and it was very good then.

The hotel is near Metro and tramway station.The staff are so friendly. The buffet was good.

But for 4stars hotel they should have tea and coffee station in the room, and provide dental kit.

The room size and hospitality was very accomodating. It was in an older part of town but great location for where we wanted to be with plenty to do around. Metro a short walk away.

Breakfast was a little basic.

The hotel has a central location, the staff was nice and helpful.

The is cigarette smoke everywhere inside, the food from the breakfast bar is low quality and the Spa facilities rooms have mold on the wals and in the air (difficult to breathe).

would not recommend

not at all like pictured. maybe one day long ago, it was. but everything was just very worn. the gym was unsafe, and pool looked not very nice.
