Clean and Safe Hotel for families. Good location

The location is excellent in terms of proximity to the Mosques, restaurants, the Tram, buses and shopping areas.The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and nicely put together. Decor is lovely!

The room was smaller than we expected but nothing can be done about that really as the real estate space is narrow. However the room was comfortable.

1) Location - This hotel is located perfectly from famous tourist spots like SultanAhmet mosque, Hagia Sophia, Seven Hills Restaurant. It is in the old city and so everything is within walking distance. 2) Ahmed - There is an Egyptian fellow by the name of Ahmed who really looked after us during our stay. A special thank you to him for the kindness he showed.

1) Room - our room had very very little space in it. To be precise we stayed in Room 104. There is a false cupboard-like thing in the room which does not open but blocks so much space in the room. The bed is wedged in the middle of this glass cupboard-like thing and the bathroom - it is therefore VERY hot. Despite the attempts of a couple of hotel staff, we did not have AC that was working in our hotel room. The room was claustrophobic. 2) Staff - Despite Ahmed, the other staff were not very friendly. On a couple of occasions, the staff pestered us from the equivalent of 12 euros as I had requested two pieces of clothing to be ironed. I repeatedly had to answer the door, this could have waited till we came downstairs to the reception area. There was no courtesy shown by certain staff members at all. 3) Extra costs - ironing was charged at 6 EUROS per piece. The hotel did not provide an iron in the room as promised. 4) Lack of facilities/ provisions - almost every hotel including budget hotels tend to provide basic items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, iron but the hotel failed to provide any of these. When asked for toothpaste, a tiny tube was given. For the price we paid, there should have been basic items provided. 5) Leaving policy - on the day we were about to leave the hotel, we were made to wait outside whilst the staff went inside to check the room to ensure we hadn't stolen anything from the inventory in the fridge. We felt criminalised during these moments and this left a very bitter taste.

I was really happy that the property was located near many historical tourist attractions and I felt like my stay was very welcoming due to many of the staff that worked at the hotel. In particular Mohammed was extremely accommodating he told me where all the great places to eat were, he was very kind and generous and did his utmost to ensure that I was happy during my stay. He probably asked me if I was ok or if I needed anything multiple times a day. Staff like Mohammed are the reason why I will be staying at Aya Sultanahmet whenever I am in Istanbul

My room was a bit small but it didnt bother me too much because I was hardly in my room.

Location in the heart of Sultanahmet, 5 mins walk to all the main attractions. All the good cafes, restaurants and shops are around as well. Staff were very hospitable and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily, attention to detail was excellent. Thanks to all staff at reception and restaurant.

It would have been useful to have access to microwave or something similar to warm milk for children. Some effort requires to make it more welcoming for families with young children.

Rooms a little small but thats due to location

The hotel was beautiful, clean and in a great location. I had a partial view of the water. It's a very short walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, etc.

I had some odd interactions with some of the staff. Some were pleasant and some not pleasant.

- minibar- supermarket in 10 meters- location- clean room - no noise

- no Netflix streaming (would be a bonus :))

Brilliant location, lovely restaurant at top level. Room was a bit small compared to other places I have stayed, okay for a solo traveller, but was a decent size bed, comfortable and lovely bedding. Good size bathroom. Beautiful detail throughout hotel.

Room a bit small. I booked own transfer to airport as the one they had was more expensive than what I paid before.

It has really good bed and pillows. Bathroom was clean with good hot shower and bath accessories. Stuff got to us two extra hours before check out which were very important for us. It is very close to Aya Sofia and many rooftop view points.

beautiful sea view room on 3rd floor exactly as photo. staff accomodating. allowed us check in early from cruise. walking distance to many sights. excellent glass restaurant on top with outstanding views

dont use their taxi service. book your own. costs less and more dependable. taxis are less than block from hotel

some staffs were very grumpy and rude, never smile. but not everyone!! the reception guy wearing glasses is super nice, helpful and friendly!same type of rooms are actually very different in size. when i asked one of the staff why its different from the photo, he said photographer did his job well and refused to change the room.

It was a great stay at the hotel for a few days, combing work and leisure! The staff is very friendly and helpful with great advice and tips for everything from taxi to eating out. The location of the hotel is phantastic in terms of history, culture, restaurants and pubs. Pity, that we couldn't stay longer!
