Melas Hotel Istanbul

The bed was very comfortable.

The location is right next to multiple very busy roads and flyovers. The room was very stuffy (even though it is February and cold and wet outside) but it was impossible to open a window with the heavy traffic outside. Sleep was badly affected by this.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and I felt very comfortable throughout the hotel.

The breakfast was amazing the staff were friendly and Mrs. ASU was incredible definitely coming back and highly recommend

Location is little far from center

The Melas is a fine facility. It was a good location, with shopping, cafes, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The Metro is a few blocks away. For those so disposed, there are American burger and chicken outlets across the street. The rooms were just fine. Bedding was to notch, and beds comfortable. I'd have no hesitation to stay again.

Its only drawback is the traffic noise from the heavily traveled street/highway. Get a room away from the main road or you may hear traffic noise and sirens through the night.

Location in crowded area

one of the positive points of the hotel was a young lady who was part of the staff. Her name was BELSEM, and she was a really positive person. She tried to be kind to everyone, take care of everyone, and she was everywhere—like in the breakfast hall, at the reception—just really trying to give everyone positive energy.

Bad Location One thing I wanted to mention about this hotel is that in the hotel’s address, the Beşiktaş area is mentioned. Maybe for geographical reasons, they have to somehow associate it with Beşiktaş, but in reality, its location was quite far from the center of Beşiktaş and, in my opinion, it was more in the Mecidiyeköy area. Even taxi drivers and all the drivers would say, “This isn’t Beşiktaş, this is Mecidiyeköy.” And that meant I ended up spending a lot of money on taxis every day going to and coming back from Beşiktaş. Of course, I should have paid more attention to the map.

Small rooms, location was not the best

The hotel is in a good location, as Besiktas is amongst the more high end areas of the city. Breakfast was typical Turkish hotel style, which is to stay quite delicious. They offered plenty of variety, and had seating both inside and outside which was pleasant. On my first morning, I forgot my work backpack which had all of our passports and my lap top in the main hall, and was reminded of this about thirty minutes after having left. I called reception very worried, however they had retrieved it and very kindly returned it to my room.

I booked a room for three adults, and I was told on the reservation that I would get a "Queen Deluxe Room" with three beds. Judging from the name of said room, I assumed that It'd be one in which three grown adults could comfortably stay in. I was completely mistaken however, as the room was so small that even two adults would struggle in it. There was no third bed whatsoever, but rather a medium sized couch where the body of the third person was over half outside! I asked reception if I could be given a bigger room, but they said that the room in which we were accommodated was the biggest one they could offer, and that the couch was 190 cm long (completely false). To add to all of this, they forgot to make the couch, and when we returned to the hotel at 11 p.m, we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to our room and put some sheets in the couch. I found this lack of attention very disappointing. I would have most certainly stayed at a different hotel if i knew that they sell rooms for three people, even though they cannot accommodate three people!

This hotel is a gem-clean, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, exceptional breakfast. Loved it! Will come back!

Good location,Clean rooms and the staff was friendly and helpful. They paid attention to every little detail and even celebrated my birthday and anniversary. It’s an experience I will definitely repeat.

Beautiful facilities - from the lobby to the spa/ pool area to the rooms. The staff was exceptionally kind and willing to go out of their way to help with any questions we had. The main desk also offered us complimentary breakfast.

Location, though not its fault. It was located next to a busy highway so we had to keep the windows closed. Also it was a 10 minute walk to the metro, which isn’t terrible but wish there were easier routes to get to the city center.
