    Pros +

    • The staff were always friendly and offered free water, coffee, and tea. The best moment was when one of them came out with umbrellas as we viewed the rainy night from the doorstep. The location was convenient—an easy walk to both the transit station and the main sites, yet outside the chaos of most tourist hotels. It was very clean and they tidied our room each day. The breakfast was bountiful and made each day’s start easier.
    • We stayed for 6 nights and found the hotel to offer good value for money. It’s close to public transport and within walking distance of attractions like the Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar. Check-in was efficient, staff were courteous, and complimentary water and snacks were provided in the lobby. Airport transfers were offered, though we didn’t use them. The room was spacious with a well-equipped bathroom (shampoo, ear buds, slippers, etc.). Housekeeping was available daily. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning effective and quiet, and Wi-Fi stable at ~80 Mbps. The room’s size made the 40-inch TV seem small from the bed.Breakfast offered a standard selection of hot dishes and Mediterranean options like cheese and olives. As noted in other reviews, soundproofing is average, with occasional hallway noise. We suggest bringing earplugs or asking the hotel for them.
    • Good location, very good staff, breakfast was really nice and clean.

    Cons -

    • Would have appreciated a softer pillow, but this is a small thing and we never requested it.
    • Nothing really
    • It was really noisy, the bed wasn't that comfortable and the breakfast was ok.

The hotel is very nicely decorated, it feels modern. The staff is super nice especially the manager. Theh were very helpful. The rooms are big and super confortable and the breakfast is good enough. The location is perfect, close enough to everything but you dont have to deal with so many people in the street in front.

    Nothing really

Liked the location, the rooms were clean and well appointed, beds were comfortable. I was placed in the basement room which was next to the kitchen and breakfast room. This meant there was a lot of noise from before 7am as the staff prepared for breakfast service and then other guests arrived. I asked to move after the first night but was told no other rooms were available.

Great room, very close to so many amazing sites. If you get a chance pop around the cr to the Balkan Restaurant on a cold day.

Green Parrot is an amazing hotel in the center of the historical center of Istanbul. You would only need 5-7 minutes to Hagia Sofia, imagine that. It is a cute place, well equipped, very clean and with the most amazing stuff! We are so grateful for having chosen this hotel for our stay in Istanbul!! Very special Thanks to Furkan and Omer for the great attendance and support in everything!!

Free coffee, tea and water. Nice Staff, good connection to WiFi, location is good if you want to visit Sultanahmet, easy to get to Karaköy and Kadıköy

It was really noisy, the bed wasn't that comfortable and the breakfast was ok.

The location is good (without a car)

Avoid This Hotel – Very Disappointing StayMy stay at Green Parrot Hotel in Istanbul was far from pleasant. The room was small and lacked essential amenities like a mini-fridge and a proper mirror. Cleanliness was also a major issue—both the bed and bathroom were not clean, making the stay uncomfortable. The bathroom design was particularly strange, with an awkwardly high toilet seat, which seemed like a construction mistake. It made using the bathroom very uncomfortable.Another huge frustration was the internet connection, which was almost nonexistent most of the time. Despite being told there was nearby parking, it turned out to be misleading information, as no proper parking was available.Breakfast was very limited, and the staff in the dining area was unfriendly, making the experience even worse. Speaking of staff, the hotel’s customer service was generally cold and unwelcoming, except for rare moments of decent interaction. To make matters worse, there is a school right next to the hotel, causing constant noise and shouting from children throughout the day, making it impossible to rest.Overall, I would strongly advise against staying here. It was a frustrating experience, and there are definitely better options in Istanbul.

    Clean, modern, nice design

On breakfast there was almost nothing to eat, no hot dishes, only dry cookies, bread and cereals. Also experienced problems with hot water in the room. As for location, generally it was good but the building itself located in a sort of dodgy alley next to abandoned building with broken windows. The room view was on the house construction.

Very central location, yet very quiet and private. It is next to a primary school but noise is limited to mornings. Within walking distance to most Istanbul attractions. Many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Close to tramway and metro. Comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. Good breakfasts.

Although there was something wrong with the system and the hotel did not have accommodation for us for the first night. We were out into a very nice nearby hotel. The room itself was simple but clean. There’s no kettle in the room but a common kettle is available in the lounge area for all to use. Despite the breakfast choice being limited it was cooked in house - simple but delicious. There is a school behind the hotel but we had no issues with the notices as our room was facing towards the front. The location is on a slight steep so wouldn’t recommend to those with mobility issues. It is close by to the tram and restaurants. About 15 mins walking distance to Topkapi palace and 25 mins to Sultanahmet. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Not a bad hotel but there’s many hotels in Istanbul so probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The price was adequate, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff always asked if everything was going well.

the location is a bit odd, in one of the room there was a loud sound coming from a school everymorning.

I was a bit skeptical when I booked this hotel especially seeing some negative reviews online. But to my surprise, hotel was exactly as described in Booking.com and has the most convenient location. Everything is at walkable distance and you can visit some major attractions which are nearby. Staffs were friendly and helpful. They also serve exceptional complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place.

    All good

Great location, nice room, confortable beds and nice staff.

Breakfast can be improved. Coffee is not good and there should be more option of milk as skim milk, low fat milk, etc.

Reasonable priceGood location in the cityVery close to main destinations

Location globally is ok, but exact place could be a bit inconvenient in the dark time: to get to the hotel you need to turn from the street in to the small dark line. Locate on the slope that also can be inconvenient for elder or disabled travellers

Fantastic location within walking distance of major attractions in Istanbul. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Front desk staffed 24 hrs.

There is a shool right next door, and there was a lot of noise in the morning from the basketball court.

Would certainly come back here if we were to come back to Istambul. The hotel was modern and clean everything you could ask for a few days stay. The hotel staff (mainly Aygün) were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was central located walking distance from many sights and the main tram line.

    9AzraPosted on: 10-14-2024

It was clean, the rooms are not big but the space is very well used and you feel comfortable. Location is great it’s very close to all stations and you can visit some attractions by foot.
