To be honest this hotel is really in great location and the owner is a great man I loved it there, plus you can¿t beat the price which comes with free breakfast If I ever go back to Istanbul this will be my hotel, the cleaning crew was very kind .

I booked the same hotel again on my way back from a trip to central and eastern region. Usually I don't give a 10 score but this hotel deserves it. I understand its not a luxury hotel but it has everything that it claims. Its in perfect location with all main tourist attractions on a 10-15minutes walking distance. The owner Mr. Mehmet was a kind gentleman and very helpful who assisted me with storing my luggage in his hotel for a week as I didn't wanted to carry all my luggage to Cappadocia and Erzurum. The breakfast was good enough.

Usually I don't give a 10 score but this hotel deserves it. I understand its not a luxury hotel but it has everything that it claims. Its in perfect location with all main tourist attractions on a 10-15minutes walking distance. The metro and tram are like 4-5 minutes walking distance. The hotel has everything you need for a stay at a hotel especially the rooms were clean and the owner Mr. Mehmet was a kind gentleman who is in direct touch with customers and adheres to every request. The breakfast was good enough to kick start your day.

The lighting in the rooms can be more brighter.

The facilities are not the same as mentioned. And if you agreed and booked the room on the prices mentioned, the owner son, Mr. Mehmet, wants you to pay more as he blames you to book rooms with such amount. Isn't it funny.

I recently stayed at Rodion Hotel in Istanbul and had a truly wonderful experience. It’s a perfect place for travelers looking for a comfortable, home-like environment at a very reasonable price. The hotel is simple, neat, and cozy — not luxurious or extravagant, but offers everything you really need for a pleasant stay.The owner and his son, Mehmet, deserve special appreciation. They are extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need — from travel tips to directions. They both goes out of their way to ensure guests feel at home and well taken care of.A big thanks also to Jannat, the lady who prepares and serves the breakfast. She is very polite, hardworking, and excellent in her work. The food was always fresh and delicious. .The night receptionist, Umar (Uzbek), was also very cooperative and friendly. No matter the time, he was always there to assist and make sure everything was comfortable.The location of the hotel is another big advantage — very close to Eminönü Tram Stations (T1 & T5) and Haliç Metro Station, making it extremely easy to reach all major attractions like Sultanahmet, Galata Tower, and the Spice Bazaar. The street itself has restaurants, grocery shops, fruit stalls, and other basic amenities, so you’ll find everything you need just steps away.Overall, Rodion Hotel is an ideal choice for budget travelers who want a clean, peaceful, and friendly place to stay in the heart of Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine hospitality and a homely atmosphere.

The staff was very welcoming and considerate, even preparing a breakfast to go for me. Location is convenient for using the metro to and from the airport, as well as for accessing transit into the city center.

The economy room was definitely small, with no windows, but they were very up front about this, and I opted for it since I was there for only one night and not in the room that much.

I liked the service of the staff. They are very nice and kind. The breakfast was good and delicious. I love their tea, they provide it for me whenever I ask for it during the day!

The family that manages the hotel, they had been very nice, hospitable and helpful. The hotel is clean, the room was ok for me as solo traveller and good value for the money if you need only a place to sleep and shower

I absolutely loved this place. The staff is incredible and everyone there is super friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is very nice with cheese, olives, bread, ometlet, etc... although it was so filling that I skipped it sometimes to save my appetite to try other meals in the city haha. The room was clean and the AC worked well. I absolutely loved the location too. It's like right on the edge of the touristy area so it had a more local vibe while still keeping the old town feel. It's close to the Eminonu metro and ferries, and it's centrally located in the city in general so I never felt like I had to walk too far to reach anything. Some of the restaurants right next to the hotel are really good and are much cheaper than touristic places.

It's a bit noisy, especially if you are on the first floor of rooms as you can hear outside, the cafe/reception area below, and the call to prayer from a nearby mosque early in the morning that never failed to wake me up haha. But this isn't the fault of the owners, just something to keep in mind.

Just great, especially at that price. Everything in the room just works and is clean. The roof has a nice terrace with a decent view (see image day/night). The reception seems to be manned 24/7 (I returned at 3am one day and someone was there). Anything that isn't in the room can be asked for at the reception, like water, tea, coffee, a plastic bag,... Owner is very communicative and friendly (with limited English knowledge). The room is decently quiet, but street noises will still be heard. They die down at night though.

This hotel provides plain accommodation at a "real" Istanbul neighbourhood which is totally safe, notwithstanding the appearance. Do not expect luxury, but rooms are clean and warm and the value is great, though some renovation works would be welcome. Very helpful host will assist on any matter. Parking for your car can also be arranged. Good turkish breakfast. Many shops and eateries frequented mainly by locals around. A short walking distance to Eminonu. But if you come to Istanbul for "a thousand and one nights"-western-phantasy experience you should look elsewhere.

I love places that are simple, clean, and free from extravagance. I have no intention of spending money on unnecessary luxury. Comfort, honesty, sincere hospitality, and cleanliness are the most important factors for me, and having all these at an affordable price is a great advantage.Thanks to Rodion Hotel’s central location, access to essentials like pharmacies and supermarkets is even easier than in many five-star hotels. That’s why I believe the hotel could be managed even better because the price, service quality, and location are truly amazing. In large hotels, just going down to the restaurant can take minutes, whereas here, you are in the heart of the city, with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and, most importantly, a pharmacy and a supermarket right across the street, visible from your window.For those who want to experience the real Istanbul, Rodion Hotel is undoubtedly the best place to stay. Of course, there are many things that should be improved, especially maintenance-wise. However, I learned that the place is a rental, and the landlord is not the kind of person who would allow major changes or repairs. Whatever they do comes out of their own pocket.Given this price range, I can totally understand that there isn't enough budget for that. Additionally, if you are booking a room in this location for such a low price, you don't really have the right to complain about minor issues.

Great central location in a very vibrant district. Great value for money. Very comfortable bed + water and heating working just fine.

The owner/manager was very pushy about asking for a 10-star review. The breakfast was just okay, but the butter served with it was expired. I loved the area, but it can feel a bit scary at night, especially for women, as I was told. The staff generally kept the place clean, but upon arrival, I found a lot of hair stuck to the bathroom walls (which I actually found a bit funny); discovering a cockroach under the blanket - a bit less amusing. The manager assured me that cockroaches are not a frequent problem there, so…
