Recital Hotel

We loved it- central location, beautiful hotel, and friendly staff. Brought us a baby bed no problem and so kind to our almost one year old. Breakfast was great. We loved it and would highly recommend. Great value for price!

Location, staff , breakfast and cleanliness

Slightly small room but manageable

Great location, staff was nice and receptive. I was surprised that our beds were big, we stayed at some other hotels in Istanbul before and bed was short. Gentlamen in the night shift helped us when our flight got cancelled to book another night and was overall very nice.Loved the cat in the lobby!

Location was great, just a few blocks from the key sights in the Sultanahmet area. Nice neighborhood, it was touristy but could still find restaurants that were reasonably priced. Breakfast was nice, a few different items every morning. The staff were great at making sure there was plenty of food. They even brought us yogurt when we asked for it. We had a sea view balcony room but the best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace (no it is not a bar). Fantastic views, plenty of tables for relaxing and maybe have a takeout dinner. We bought Turkish desserts next door and brought them up to enjoy with the evening lights before bedtime.

The furniture in the guest rooms could use a bit of updating. Our air-conditioning was not blowing as cool as we liked and when we asked for a fan they did not have one for us. We slept okay but probably should have asked more about the air-conditioning. We still enjoyed it and would probably stay there again if we are back in the Sultanahmet district.

Great location, all the main attractions are within walking distance, and in a quiet street. Our room was spacious with a sea view. The staff was very friendly. Complimentary coffee all day.

The room was great and spacious but the problem is that it is not good for a decent night's sleep! Early in the morning the daylight was filling the space because there were no good blinds. Very early in the morning I felt I was sleeping in the street because of the daylight in the room! Toooo baaad!Sorry guys to share this but I thought it was worth sharing for the benefit of your business!!

Conveniently located near Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and other attractions.

Limitation of 1 Liter water bottle if you get the room cleaned. 1.5 Liter bottle cost less than 5 Lira. There should not be limit of 1 bottle a day.

I just wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at this hotel Reza, Ozgur, Mayam, Abdul Rahman, Fatma, and everyone else. During my stay, I truly felt at home. It’s hard to put into words how much I enjoyed my time here it felt as if the hotel team and I had known each other for many years.Oh, and I must mention the hotel’s neighbor, Murat Abi such a wonderful person to spend time with! ?

The hotel is a nice one, clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and polite, ready to help. Location is good, close to good restaurants and walking distance from attractions.

Balcony had a nice view over the rooftops into the sea.

I stayed here about 13 years ago. Love the location, breakfast is wonderful and staff is always marvelous. Great place to stay at.

Great staff…so helpful, friendly and genuinely nice people. The location is central to so many of the “must-see” attractions in Instanbul. All within walking distance. Great recommendations from staff for places to eat. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace as well. Breakfast was good, coffee excellent. Not a huge selection, but more than adequate for most. The room was comfortable, and the price for the hotel can’t be beat!

We like the location. Its close to all attractions in oldtown Istanbul. Our room was cleaned everyday even though we didnt ask to. Staff at the reception are very welcoming. We always have 2 big bottled water everyday.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and serviced every day. Having a electric water kettle for coffee and tea was nice. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety, savory and sweet options.The location of the hotel is very good. Everything is in easy reach. It is only a 7 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, and a 3 minute walk to the tram line that brings you to the ferries and Galata Bridge.We would definitely stay at the Recital Hotel again.

Nice hotel, located in the city center (or one of the city centres), ideal distance to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Nice breakfast as well. Hotel staff very professional and helpful. I recommend it.

Our family had a very pleasant stay at the Recital. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious and quiet, the window was equipped with blinds and our son appreciated having his own comfortable bed. We were happy to have a bottle of water at no cost offered in the room and a small fridge.The restaurant team of Buse and Engin has made our breakfast moments into a memorable hospitality experience. Thank you very much for taking care of us. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, because the most important sightseeing spots are located in a very close by to the hotel, tram line T1 is about 250 m away and there is a small nice grocery shop around the corner.

A couple of times during evening hours we heard rather nosy emergency power supply, but everything has been fixed within 2-3 hours, so it was not really a problem.

Staff is amazing and helpful. Extremely friendly and lovely people. View from the room was as expected. And hotel had terrace. My disappointment however is breakfast and bathroom facilities. All in all was positive experience.

Location was ideal. The staff were amazing and a huge shout out and kudos to their staff Fatima and Rizai. They were truly exceptional. Thank you Rizai for looking after my toddler needs and arranging his special milk. The breakfast staff engine and busse were great and the breakfast was good. The location was ideal.

The mattresses need to be changed as they weren't comfortable. The pillows were not that comfy. The breakfast menu needs to have more fruits as currently they were only offering 1 or either 2 fruits item.

We were pleased with our choice of hotel. The location was excellent, as it was only 5 minutes walk from the Hippodrome and their are plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a top floor room with two small balconies, which offered a view of the street and the sea, as we requested. The room was spacious albeit you were partly in the roof eaves and you have to watch you don't bump you head if you are tall. The staff were excellent, particularly Maryam on reception and the restaurant team of Buse and Engin, all of whom looked after us very well. Breakfast was reasonable but could have a little more variety added as by day five it was a little samey. For what we paid, and given how expensive Istanbul is, we had a great stay.

Not much as the hotel was as were had expected. The shower head needed a refurb to allow the water to flow better but this was not really an issue. The beds may be firm for some but suited us.
