Stayed for one night during a 24h layover between flights. The room was clean and comfortable (although very small, and somewhat worn out), breakfast was great, location - super convenient both for sightseeing and for getting to/from the airport hassle-free

A hotel with an outstanding staff, a delicious breakfast, and a great location. It is comfortably, cozy and clean. It also has a terrace with a covered area which is open 24hs with free coffee and tea. It has a beautiful view to the Bosphorus.

The location is perfect! The host is eager to help with whatever request you may have. The rooftop terrace and its view are amazing.

The whole hotel is really dilapidated and cries for serious make over. If you are accustomed to luxury accomodation, forget about this. This hotel is value for money, though.

The hotel is well located near tramway, shops and sightseeing locations. The place is cosy and clean, with breakfast and tea/coffee available 24 hours. Also the terrace with an exceptional view is an amazimg bonus!Staff are very friendly and helpful.

You could fix the lock to the room, sometimes took a bit of key wiggling to get in, or out!

great place for our family, and the owner & staff were very helpful & accommodating. Also, the fifth floor public room was a nice option to have, and the view was great!

I suppose the Turkish breakfast was not the best match for my American tastes, but there was plenty of food, coffee, & tea.

Overall reasonable value for a well placed option, basic though satisfactory breakfast option while the staff were very helpful throughout

Wifi a bit weak on the 1st floor

The owner is a very respectful and honest person. The breakfast was better than expected. The apartment somewhat small but clean and with good mattresses. Rooftop is one of the best I've seen in Istanbul. Free tea, filter coffee. 5 out of 5. Mind that there is no lift so if u get a 4th floor room you have to use ur own power )

Lovely time at the hotel. It is very well located, the hotel manager was extremely friendly and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. I would highly recommend the hotel and plan to stay again in the future.

In a good location walking distance till main sights near shops and restaurants. Owner is very helpful helped to book taxi many times .Also good breakfast

Breakfast was good. Home made cake provided by owner. He provided a safe space for storing our luggage after check out. Which helped us to see more attractions easily after check out. We collected our luggage in the evening around 6pm.

Bit congested and renovation required for more comfort.

Breakfast was good. Nice rooftop terrace. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was in good spot to catch tram to metro or walk to metro. Plus sightseeing areas. Tea and coffee always available.

The inside was outdated but clean. Could use an update but if you look past that and no elevator can say on same level as high end hotels.

The hotel is very good located in the old city. Everything at walking distance like mosques, bazar and shopping. Also tram is in the next street.The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in oldcity Istanbul, not luxury but all simple. But everything is working, everything what you need you have or you get. Very clean room, sheets, towels. Good Turkish breakfast, tasteful! Oktay the owner is the best, he will take care of all guest. Also good tips from Oktay for restaurants and hamam. Very very friendly. Cosy hotel, old but nice. We loved it.

Our bed was too short. And bathroom is very tiny and old but everything is working. Vould get a refresher.

If you are looking for a sterile hotel where everything is according to the guidelines, but nobody is interested in you, keep looking.If you're looking for a cosy hotel with a hardworking and very helpful owner, with clean rooms, great breakfasts, a terrace with a beautiful view of the Marmara Sea and a location so perfect that you can walk to all the major sights in minutes, you've found it.Thank you so much Oktay for your care and concern and for a perfect stay. We would love to come back again.For those interested in details:- rich breakfast buffet - salami, cheese, turkish bread, toast bread, muffins, home-made cake, different kind of cereals, hard-boiled eggs, sunny side up eggs, olives, vegetables, salats, home made chips, sometimes rice and more. Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, olive oil, vinegar, microwaves, toasters - everything you need for good start of the day- great terrace where you can enjoy classic tea, apple tea, coffee or cappuccino, play the table games (all provided for free) or just soak the atmosphere of an ancient city- because of the location in the city center, do not expect great views from the rooms because there are buildings everywhere. But the terrace view is great- we really enjoyed the location which allowed us to walk to the Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Cistern, Hagya Sofia, Spice Bazaar and others in 5-15 minutes. Plus there is a tram stop Çemberlitaş nearby- so many restaurants nearby... Our favourite was Ortaklar restaurant (2 minutes walk from the hotel) which offered reasonable prices, great food and big portions. Do not hesitate to go up to the 2nd or 3rd floor for great views of the square- if you need anything, just ask Oktay. He is very friendly and helpful. His care is what is making this place exceptional- I would appreciate to find a feta-like cheese in the otherwise rich open buffet table
