This hotel has a great location. A wonderful breakfast and a very helpful staff. I would stay here again

Breakfast

Location, room was great, breakfastGREAT night staff at the restaurant. Mohammad and Mahmet took good care of me, whilst dining alone. Everything I request, they are always ready to give generously - food, drinks, service. They are great!The room is generally very clean. And no odor and no sound from neighbors. Quiet.

-Clogged sink in our bathroom (I asked the reception twice to get it fixed by housekeeping, but it didn't happpen.). We had to deal with clogged bathroom sink for a week of our stay.- Housekeeping staff is not consistent. Sometimes they bring you the extra towel, sometimes no coffee nor sticks, sometimes the carpet is cleaned, sometimes the bedsheets are changed. So no consistency is cleaning.-Only one person working the sauna/hammam and massage. Not much attention paid to all customers as she was busy doing everything by herself. While she's massaging me, she's also distracted by clients coming in who are there for sauna/ pool etc. It wasn't a relaxing experience when a masseuse is not focusing on your body.-

Cleaning staff

The Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable. My work meetings frequently dropped, and the internet went out twice during my 10-day stay, each time for more than two hours.The front desk staff were also unprofessional. They appeared annoyed whenever I approached them, and upon arrival I waited about 10 minutes while they finished a phone call.My room was approximately 80°F when I arrived, and when I called the front desk, they said that they’ll turn it on where they then proceeded to turn on the heat. I then called again to figure it out and I was told that AC was not available. Additionally, the hotel charges extra if you request an additional bottle of water. Breakfast was also horrible. Save your money and book anywhere else.

Location of this hotel is supreme - it's only a short walk away from all the main attractions. Staff was very friendly, offering to call us a taxi in the middle of the night and also to store our bags when we had a late departing flight.

The rooms are tiny, but in Istanbul you generally don't spend that much time inside. Also I was sad as the prettiest part of the rooftop restaurant (which offers a gorgeous view) was closed off. Breakfast options could be expanded as well.

The front desk team and the bellmen were always helpful and kind. The housekeeping team did a great job every day.

The property was clean and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. And most of them spoke a good amount of English. Our room was small, but good enough space for our needs as we just need a place to lay our heads after a long day of walking. It was convenient to have a fridge (but careful as things already in the fridge cost money if consumed) and the room was made daily. The breakfast was good as well as there were lots of options and generally good tasting. The views from the rooftop was amazing as well! The location was within walking distance to tram and busy shopping areas.

We were excited about the so called “spa” included, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a spa. It’s a freezing cold plunge pool, with a STINKY sauna and steam room. There is a Turkish bath area as well. You can get a massage or scrub down for additional cost. (€45 for massage €20 for scrub). The rooms itself were on the small side. We had AC issues that were eventually sort of fixed, but basically if we want to turn on AC we had to call the front desk to turn on the AC and adjust the temperature.

It was clean but they put me in the room where the AC doesn’t work in summer and they know that the AC doesn’t work so did by the purpose so I didn’t like my stay

Unfortunately, the air conditioning is set to operate for a limited time, after which only the fan runs, causing the room temperature to rise.

The location is wonderful

The property of the facility is totally below avg and the cleaning room staff is not trustworthy

The family room has two separate bedrooms. The rooms have been nicely renovated. The rooftop restaurant is definitely a plus with a wonderful view, although prices are a bit on the expensive side for the area and the quality. Breakfast is good, with a wide selection. The reception staff were helpful and they allowed for a late check out at 1pm without any extra fees.

The beds are really short, I am 175cm and my feet were dangling off the bed. The main double bed is also very narrow and not comfortable for a couple. The kids bedroom in the family room overlooks a shaft and has zero natural light. The breakfast ends at 10am, which means that they start taking food away a little bit before 10 and everything is gone at 10.00. We were also told to leave the restaurant at a few minutes after 10 when we still had some food and drinks to finish. I realize it was after 10, but I've never seen anything like this in other hotels. Usually they would clean up around you and let you finish. The location is very convenient to the old town and the sites, but be aware that the old town is considerably louder, dirtier and less developed than other parts of the city. If you're set on staying close to these attractions, it's a very practical place to be, but not a very pleasant location in general.

Breakfast could have been better. It’s my second time staying in this hotel. Quality of the breakfast have reduced.

This hotel is in a great location to visit the main attractions of Istanbul, all within walking distance and close to the tram. I do not understand the negative reviews about this hotel, it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, it smelled great and the staff were more than helpful. Our room was a family room which was a great size and was cleaned daily. The breakfast provided everyday was varied and had something for everyone. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and have recommended it to friends. 10/10. Thank you Hotel Venera.

There was nothing to dislike during my 5 day stay. The photographs online do not do this hotel justice, it is far better than the photographs.

Everything was fine, just Window didn't open in our room. Breakfest is served on the top floor with a view.

The Location was good and the cleaning was not that bad.

The size of a three bed room was too small. There was no bin in the room. There was hardly any toiletries. The staff didn’t help to move the luggage when we checked in or checked out. They charged us for mini bar facilities which we didn’t know. The main disappointment was Breakfast options. There was hardly anything to eat.

We decided in this hotel mainly because of the swimming pool and sauna facilities - first day we checked in, we got the information at reception that area is open from 2pm to 9pm. First day we went to dedicated floor at 7:30pm - it was closed. Next day same situation. No information was provided why it is closed and for how long...Additionally, our sink was blocked on our arrival.

Like: location, spacious room (family room), tea and water free, breakfast was okay.Dislike: Thermostat was not working, it was heating up in the room with no solution. Booking said TV was available but it was not. There is no ironing facilities in the hotel, you can only opt for paid laundry service. No waste bin and tissues in the room only as small bin in the washroom. Pool area had a smell, no lighting there, gave eerie vibes. Housekeeping it seems do not clean the tea-cups, tea/ coffee stains were not properly cleaned.

Relative good location, kind personnel.

Below average food, low quality breakfast offering. Room is very small.
