    Pros +

    • Welcoming, organized and clean. Staff is so helpful and accommodating, they really try to help in every way possible, they treat guests like it¿s a hotel not a hostel. The breakfast is fresh and excellent!
    • Honestly as far as hostels go this one felt incredibly safe and so open and friendly to solo travelers. Breakfast had great vibes and rooms were clean!
    • Our stay at this hostel/hotel was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home—always friendly, approachable, and ready to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Osman, Murat, and Tarik (the big boss) , Seif & Fatih for going above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right. The ambiance throughout the hostel is warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. We especially loved the daily events that created such a fun, social atmosphere and made it easy to meet other travelers. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, cleaned daily with great attention to detail. It was the perfect balance between comfort and practicality.Overall, everything—from the people to the place—was outstanding. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, amazing staff, and thoughtful touches, this is it!

    Cons -

    • The bathroom closest to the bar upstairs was understandably the most used but could use a little love! It was the night after a live music thing though so don’t judge the hostel based on this one time thing. In general the bathrooms were clean!
    • Nothing ?
    • No chair on the balcony.

Great location in a beautiful area, close to all the main attractions. The hostel has an amazing atmosphere with very friendly and welcoming staff. The manager is incredibly responsive and shows genuine empathy towards guests. It feels like home, with a true sense of community. Compared to other hostels, it’s lively and full of people, even outside of peak season.

Everything was beyond amazing at my stay here. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, they made sure you felt like home. As a first time solo traveler I felt safe and secure staying at this hostel. I would recommend this stay for anyone looking to make friends and socialize. The location of this hostel is breathtaking and for the price is unbeatable! Loved everything about this stay and would stay again!

    Nothing ?

Location was excellent! Staff was very friendly. Good value for the money.

    No chair on the balcony.

It's located within the iconic landmarks in Istanbul and very close to a metro station.

There’s a rooftop bar - it's rowdy and very noisy until past midnight. Likewise during breakfast you need to take your food at once, going back to get your dessert/fruits past 11 a.m. those staff will not accommodate you even just 2 minutes past 11 a.m

    10PatriciaPosted on: 11-26-2025

We stayed in a separate building including stairs. Plan accordingly. The staff carried our bags both up to our room and back down. Location was within walking distance of the Cistern, Haga Sophia, Blue Mosque, Galata Bridge and Bosphorus Ferries. No need for transit!

    Wished we could stay longer.

The Staff, Reception people, and Kitchen ladies for breakfast they are very kind with smiles. The breakfast fast time is good and the food is not bad as breakfast, alot of options with coffee and tea and they will ask you for more if you need.

1- The private rooms based in another building, it's not far but at another building. It's mentioned that the privat room have separate entrance but it should be mention the different building.2- The floor mat not clean enough.3- No Prayer mat in the room and they will not provide for you, They advised me to pray on the second bed sheet ?4- The fridge is not working and is inside the clothes cupboard! I didn't complain it, but when I am checking out I mentioned to tbe staff and they said will repair it if I complian.

Nice bar area and close to everything.

My lights went out the second day and were never fixed. The entire building was working just not in the room I was staying in.

    10JosePosted on: 11-3-2025

The location was perfect. Views of the Hagia Sophia mosque from the windows. The staff is amazingly welcoming and helpful.I visited this hostel for the first time in 2021 and have gone back again in 2025. If I'm visiting Istanbul, I will be staying at this hostel again and again.

What's not to like? My stay was perfect.

location, great staff, access to fellow travelers , fun bar with fantastic view of hagia sofia , friday family night, good breakfast

room could be appointed a bit better, ie a tv or a chair

Cheers hostel is a fantastic place to stay and a wonderful jumping off point for all of your Istanbul adventures. The staff is so kind and helpful and gave amazing recommendations. They were even able to accommodate my friend as a last minute addition to my room reservation. They generously upgraded our room so we had more space, which had stunning views of the Hagia Sophia. Anything you need, they were there to help. The hostel is very social and a great place to meet people. Breakfast was delicious. And the sweet hostel dog that greets you was a fantastic bonus.

    All was fantastic!

Whole staff was phenomenal. Great location. Osman was phenomenal.

    Great facilities, clean, great events.

The pillows were so bad, I couldnt sleep. The towels that you had to pay for had gross stains on them.

    10UmiPosted on: 6-20-2025

especially the breakfast. i was so happy to be able to eat so much fruits everyday. and the two ladies in the kitchen are so nice. they always provide coffee or tea for you

the gap between bed and wall, i dropped my staff sometimes (like when i’m charging my phone it’s easy to drop it)

The male staff with long curly hair was extremely friendly. The location is so convenient, short walk from all sightseeing spots. The premise especially toilet and bathroom were clean and tidy.

The breakfast starts too late at 9:00 - I want to go sightseeing as early as possible in order to avoid crowds. The receptionist did not inform me, so I went there around 8:30, and despite of some quests already were eating and food were served, they refused to serve me by saying that breakfast starts strictly at 9:00. If there is a party on the roof top, trust me, the whole building would be shaking. Hahaha.

Good breakfast and good location. Kind staff.

the door didn't have a key, so I didn't feel safe in the room. I tavelled alone and I also was alone in the room. A bit scary for a woman.

    7MasterkadPosted on: 4-21-2025

The beds are super comfortable and clean, and the staff (and dog) are incredibly friendly. The location is perfect, right in the center, and the free breakfast is a nice bonus—even if it only starts at 9

The bar music was way too loud, and on several evenings people came into dorms to use the bathroom due to a long queue on the public toilet. The sink was also clogged, and overall, both the hostel and bar feel overpriced

    7SandraPosted on: 4-21-2025

It was well located, close to the cistern basilic, blue mosque and sophia. Close to a tram station. The room was ok.

Breakfast was basic and late so its not convenient if you have an early tour or if you want to start your day before 9am. The guys (except one) at the front desk are not very helpful.
