Boulevard Hotel

The email was helpful when we were late checking in.

The hotel needs to be updated. There were stains on the chairs in the room.

The location was good for what I needed, close to lots of cafes and shopping.

The hotel is minimally maintained, furniture is worn out, beds are lumpy, strange odours, broken electrical outlets, burnt out light bulbs etc. I stayed solo, but if my wife was with me she would never stay there.

Was very tidy and clean.

The room booked was a king studio with 1 bed but got 2 king singles. The tv didnt work as no aerial and wrong remote. Rang and asked for help which was great, but no spare remotes. Did get fixed while we were away, but too late by then. Info in each room for fire too would be a advantage.

The beds are comfortable.

I had to ask for coffee and milk.I asked for another towel and it was damp.The bathroom door does not shut properly, and jams on the floor. When having a shower the temperature was not static. What was most concerning was it would go scalding hot, where you could not stand under it. A child would have been scalded/burnt, so was a safety issue. I spoke about this with reception as it was a concern.

Clean, room and comfy bed. Liked fridge and jug.

Only one cup and one mug and one tea spoon.

The management of the place...

TV and Fridge didn’t work, bag shelf broken, no face cloths, shower door opens the wrong way, dirty laundry left on the floors, room wasn’t ready until later in the afternoon, no cutlery or plates, Kitchen smells were awful. Stains on the carpet.

Location was close to our activities.

TV reception was poor and intermittent. Lights in main room did not work. Lack of cups and glasses. Shelf inside wardrobe was very dirty.

The room was very comfortable and although it was very busy with Chinese new year celebrations, the staff were very capable and helpful.

No breakfast bowls or spoons were provided in the room.

The Hotel presentation was very poor. Rooms were run down and not indicative of the photos online. The whole building smelt of the downstairs restaurant kitchen. half of the lights in the room did not work.

Disappointing

TV had no channels, Wifi was average speed and connection quality was poor.

Staff was very helpful. The location was excellent. I really was able to relax and enjoy my stay.

Minor details, like stained carpeting, bathroom sink that did not drain well, and a cabinet door that did not fully close.

Spacious room, quiet neighbourhood, easy access and on site parking

There was a large influx of people for the on-site restaurant on Friday night, which spilled out into the hotel foyer and was not managed very well.

There was an oven in our room that was really dirty & the cupboards where not clean

Honestly every bad review you’ve seen about this place is probably somewhat true. The room wasn’t in any way “dirty” but it wasn’t the tidiest hotel I’ve stayed in to put it lightly. Acceptable for the price

The staff are polite , helpful and courteous, the environment superb, round very spacious with fridge, microwave and large television with giant sized bed.

Staff friendly. Good value. Beds comfy.

Most furnishings shabby, stained and damaged. Even walls and doors bashed a bit in places. Mostly fairly clean (beds great) but noticeable areas missed or needing a deep clean- especially anything above shoulder height. Cutlery and crockery very sparse supplied and a bit chipped/scratched/cloudy glass with useful things like bottle opener and scissors absent.

Carpet in our room just smelt a bit funky

The staff were very accomodating and helpful as we checked in late. The housekeeping staff were great.

The amenities werent great. The cooktop and dishwasher werent in working order I think it was due to the electricals as there were a few plug sockets on the same wall that werent working aswell. There wasnt many tea, coffee or sugar and no milk so we ended up just buying our own.
