    Pros +

    • the room was beautifully decorated.
    • I like that it was in the city but away from it as well so you didn?t get all the noise. It was also close to two train stations, which was great for after all the walking. The restaurant was also great. And their pastry selection was amazing.
    • The location provided a peaceful oasis with easy access to the bustling neighborhoods of Shibuya, Shinjuku and downtown Tokyo. It was ideal for us.

    Cons -

    • Badly located as no near shops and only a smaller train line access (added 20 mins to every train trip in Tokyo) Bar shuts at 10pm with no room service. (I arrived at 10.30pm). Vending machines didn't take credit cards. Staffs English was poor.
    • Even though the room is beautifully decorated, the room is too small. There is absolutely no way the room is the size it is advertised. We complained and got moved to bigger room and still no space. If you have suitcases there is nowhere to put them
    • From the hotel no. I just didn?t like that there was no convenience store around. You had to walk a good half a mile to find one.

Location, amenities and park across the hotel

No flexibility with late check-out unless a fee is paid. Most hotels allow at least 1 hour complimentary.

The location is great here. There are a couple of train stations close by that can take you anywhere you need to go. The national stadium where the Olympics were held is right across the street which is beautiful along with the entire park surrounding it

    The staff

I loved the design of the hotel and the free amenities they had whenever you walked into the hotel. The staff were nice and helpful. The laundry service was amazing. I needed it for how long I was in Tokyo.

The room and everything was great! I just wished there was a water dispenser somewhere on the floor.

Hotel was a great location within walking distances to Shinjuku and Harajuku and close to the E train. The neighborhood was quiet and away from the tourist crowds. The breakfast was typical but good.

The room needed some remodeling, even a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. Wish there was a better integration of storage and hooks, since the hotel rooms in Tokyo are small. The balcony was different to have but rather have more space inside the room. We ended up packing our checked bags on the balcony.

Breakfast, bed and public bath. The quality of Mikimoto shampoo is notable.

    8DeilyPosted on: 1-9-2026

Great customer service, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The paid breakfast was very tasty and there were many choices. The room had a kettle, coffee, tea, a fridge, robes, slippers, and plenty of toiletries. There were more free toiletries in the lobby for anyone. Plenty of charging plugs in the room too. Location was great, there was a station across the street. The toilet seat was always warm! There is a public warm pool to enjoy if desired.

The vending machine did not have many choices. There is not place to seat after you buy food at the bakery.

    Unhappy stay

Very small room, dirty walls, old shower, non-friendly staff, far from center

Located in a calm neighborhood with good service and nice breakfast.

The staff were very respectful and kind. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel is very clean and the room was nice and spacious. I like the fact that they cleaned our room every day, they replace our water and other personal stuff everyday. The buffet breakfast was amazing!

The only thing I did not like was there were no restaurants and convenient stores close to this hotel.

    5OmnaPosted on: 12-31-2025

The breakfast was great, good quality and variety!

Super small room. The king bed was giant (I think two queens combined), and the big balcony unnecessary took away from the room space. We packed light but still didn’t have space to keep our stuff. Poor design with shelf space taken by useless nailed in decorations. Made our stay with our kid not very comfortable. The staff was also less than friendly and helpful, like I called to ask if we can get a glass of milk from the bakery for our kid, they said not possible. We went to the bakery to ask and they helped right away (for a charge which is ok). The other staff member then told us the bakery is closed when it was still open. They were just polite in Japan way but not really helpful. We stayed at a 4 star hotel in Kyoto which was better space, much more helpful staff and better facilities. This doesn’t deserve the 5 star rating. Oh and the hotel charges $5 per person to seat you when you have dinner there, so beware. And the food & portions are totally not worth the price if you’ve had good Italian food before.
