Pros +

  • Hotel employee provided exceptional service and assistance for our group.
  • The beds were comfy and our floor had a water/ice and a microwave. Staff were trying to be helpful where they could, but there were lots of problems they couldn't help with. They did also store our luggage without issue and allowed us use of their luggage scales.
  • Only location!

Cons -

  • Hotel and rooms are overrated. I felt like I’m staying at a 2-3 star hotel. Nothing but a toothbrush and towels in the bathroom. Shower head not stable, had to be held straight during shower. Carpets look dirty.
  • It was listed as a sound proof room. We could hear people easily through the door. The bathroom had a cracked and a loose tile which had a smell that came out into the rest of the room. The TV info offered casting, but that wasn't working even though we could see the other rooms casting wifi networks, just not ours. We were told it simply wasn't available. We had stayed in the same type of room a few days earlier, and none of these were issues.
  • The room was too small, freight was over small like toy! The floor was old, there was one way elevator and lift was confusing first you must go third floor even if you are already residing then you take another lift to your room which was not convent for most of customers, there was no phone, but there was guidance on TV how call front desk. Over all it has not that much value what you paid for it.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and courteous.

The hotel is part of the Ascott chain, a major accommodation service group under CapitaLand. While the pricing is relatively high, the overall quality did not fully meet expectations:– The Wi-Fi connection was very unstable, which significantly affected work that required reliable internet and caused frequent interruptions.– Although the bed linens and pillowcases were white, they appeared slightly yellowed.– The air-conditioning system responded quite slowly and took approximately 30 minutes to provide sufficient warmth.– Umbrellas were not available for guest use during rainy weather.– The hotel is located in a “red-light” district, with numerous bars and nightlife venues nearby, which may be considered a sensitive environment, particularly at night.

Location, ease of getting to the train station, and the crib. The staff were helpful!

Drinking water was not provided in the room. Refill bottles should have been provided. The room was very humid.

good location in Shinjuku

I think the this property is a bit old, quite spacey if you take the superior deluxe room, need more lights

Overpriced and very basic. Rooms are tiny faded and not very comfortable. It is not very up-to-date.

Jaded and low end. Rooms very small

Location. Hotel is about 5 mins walk to east exit of Shinjuku station. The hotel is also not too close to Kabukicho which makes the environment less noisy less crowded. Facilites are excellent, lots of washing machine. Free drinking water and ice machine. The free coffe maker is very good too.

None to me.

5GaryPosted on: 12-5-2025

Right in the middle of the Shinjuku area. Lobby offered free coffee and water.

No free water in the room. No space to lay out my bag.

On the positive side, the staff were helpful and sent a standing fan to the room after we requested assistance. The location is convenient, but if you are staying on a lower floor, you may be disturbed by noise from outside.

Overall, the experience was average mainly due to poor ventilation in the room. I have stayed in other hotels in Tokyo, so the room size is not an issue for me. However, the air-conditioner was not functioning properly, resulting in no proper air circulation, and the window could not be opened. The hotel itself feels rather old-fashioned, and the carpet makes the room look even more dated. In addition, the kettle provided was faulty as it leaked water from the boiler.

Staff was prompt and helpful

Small, old and dusty roomHard bedQuite a distance (10-15 mins walk) from Shinjuku stationLimited amenities as compared to other hotels of similar pricesI had high expectations since Citadines is a renowned brand. It is also the most expensive lodging I paid for during my 3-week trip. Unfortunately, it fell way below expectations.

The location is good.

Very small room. There is noise at night.

9Supanida T. n.Posted on: 11-18-2025

Room size is regular for Japan and the location is great. Having a Lawson right downstairs is super convenient. The staff were also very friendly and helpful

9Y Z.Posted on: 11-8-2025

Perfect location. Close to all Shinjuku nightlife spots, with every service you need within a five-minute walk. A 24/7 supermarket is right beneath the hotel.Room. Cleaned daily, with sheets and towels changed every day without asking. The double bed is 140 cm wide, suitable for a couple or a parent with a child.Internet. High-speed, free, and performs well.

Not critical, but the TV in the room offers only a few local channels and a selection of paid options like Hulu and Netflix, which is less relevant for most travelers

5OanhPosted on: 11-3-2025

It was easy access to the train station. There was a security guard downstairs.

The location. I do not like all the bars around. My room was facing the street so you can hear loud drunk people outside in the early mornings. The room was hot and hard to change the temperature.

Check-in and check out were quick and easy. Our luggage was minded after check out. Room was small but not tiny. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Location was right in the 'entertainment' district which we knew before our trip, however the area seemed a bit more sleazy than I remember from earlier trips. On the other hand, the hotel is really close to Shinjuku Station and lots of attractions so it's very convenient.

Good location Helpful staff Booked again

Room isn’t spacious

7ErinPosted on: 10-22-2025

Central, friendly staff and nice breakfast and coffee all day.

The sink bowl in my room was broken and visibly glued back together. The carpet was stained in many places and the loveseat was stained as well.
