    Pros +

    • Great location really close to Shinjuku-Gyoemmae Station (Marunuchi Line), shops and restuarants nearby, and a nice walk to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Our room had a tiny balcony and a little alcove with a desk and a fridge, which made our stay much more comfortable than it would have been otherwise. The option of eating on site was very helpful.
    • The location was great and the room was larger than expected.
    • Great location. Very close to the train station, convenience store, and restaurants.

    Cons -

    • I would have liked more space to put my bag, book, etc. but very good value at this price point. View of the street below, and some street noise, but not an issue.
    • Water pressure for shower and sink was a little low.
    • Small rooms

The location to the station is so close. The room is bigger that others in tokyo. The reception workers were amazing and try to help in any issue. There was a lobby that we can sit and eat breakfast. There is FamilyMart shop in front of the hotel.

Location is highest value for this hotel; literal 2 minute walk from the nearest train station and plenty of food options and konbinis in the area for any immediate needs. The room fits 2 adults max as described as well as 4 check in luggages and 2 hand carrys with some maneuvering of the room (stacking luggages, etc). Facilities are adequate for the stay assuming you are out of the hotel exploring everything Japan has to offer. Hotel is a short walk to the shinjuku national garden that is gorgeous and tranquil to walk through. Please note that hotel staff are only present from 9am to 10pm so make sure your requests for towels or anything is made during those hours. There are also no laundry facilities- we went to Laundry Brisk in the area for that (not sponsored but they have a wash+dryer combo machine and coin sneaker machine!) Would recommend as a very good budget stay!

Minimal yet adequate facilities, limited staff hours 9am-10pm

The location is good. Close to the metro and several restaurants.

Small room with a very noisy neighborhood. Not good value for money. The room keys are over engineered, for some reason.

Location, comfortable bed and toilet, quiet area but very central and well connected.

The inconvenient fact that happened on the first day. The wc hadn’t been cleaned properly. As soon as we notified it, they promptly showed up and solved the problem.

Loved this little hotel in a quiet area in Shinjuku! We loved coming back from the busy and crazyness of Shinjuku to the quiet streets that Book Tea Bed is in. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores and it was a short 10 minute walk to the Shinjuku National Garden which was stunning (it was cherry blossom season for us). The area was super safe even at night, plenty of solo females walking around. The hotel itself was super clean and the lady at reception was very nice. The room was a good size for us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Nothing, everything was great for us!

Excellent location, around 10 minutes walk from the station and right next to the park, was able to leave bags at the property before checking in

    Nothing really

    8AmberPosted on: 4-5-2025

Great location, plenty of restaurants around (and family mart next door) and short walk to Shinjuku. We stayed for cherry blossoms so the 1 street walk to Gyoen was ideal. Room is comfortable, boutique accommodation style and larger than the other rooms we stayed in Japan, still compact but that's Japan. Cafe downstairs always popular, staff friendly and helpful, google translate gets past any language barriers quickly. Would stay again.

Great location, very near the Gardens and the trains. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

Good location with many restaurants nearby, train station and walking distance to Shinjuku.

Rooms where the most spacious out of all our hotels , bed was low to the floor but so comfy , black out windows and quiet room despite the hustle and bustle of Tokyo , a stones throw away from any supermarket shop and loads of food choices nearby , the tube entrance was 200yrds away

    Nothing all was lovely

Loved the location super handy to all the tourist areas and less than a 5 minute walk to the metro. Very clean rooms and hotel in general and staff were friendly and helpful.

There isn’t a lot of space for luggage in your room. I struggled with one larger suitcase and I am a solo traveller so any couples may struggle to open both suitcases. You’ll only struggle if you have larger hardtop suitcases like I did.

I love the location, the friendly service and the simple space.

    8PloywadeePosted on: 1-23-2025

Room is quite good size where you can open your baggage on one end of the bed, clean and have everything you may need. It is also within 13-15 mins walking distance from Shinjuku Station. Bed is reasonably comfy, however no under bed cavity.

The blinds let street light comes through at night time, so it wasn't completely dark if you are sensitive to light while sleeping. Could do better with proper curtains though.

    10TessaPosted on: 1-23-2025

    Super clean and perfect location.

Some of the plugs were loose and coming out of the walls

    10EbonyPosted on: 1-19-2025

The location was brilliant, just tucked away from the busy, loud centre of Shinjuku but still in walking distance and close to the metro. The room was a suitable size for a couple, very clean and bathroom was spacious. The staff member even let us check in early as we arrived in the morning, which was so kind and unexpected! We would’ve stayed again on our return to Tokyo but unfortunately it was already booked out. It’s a very well priced accomodation as well, considering room size, style and location. We will definitely stay again next trip ?

Location was amazing. Bed was so comfortable and staff lovely.

This was my second time staying here and it was just as good as the first time! I really like the location of the hotel and I find it to be really reasonably priced. It’s a short, easy walk into the main Shinjuku area and the subway entrance is just round the corner so great transport links. The room was very spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities. As like the last time I stayed the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again and if any of my friends tell me they’re coming to Tokyo I tell them about this place!
