Oakwood Apartments Nishi-Shinjuku Tokyo

Good location, spacious apartment, very clean and comfortable with all the appliances you need.

The hotel charges a 25% "service fee" for forwarding your luggage via Yamato. This wasn't mentioned when we inquired about this service at the front desk during our check-in. All the other hotels we've stayed at during our trip charged us about 4500-5000 yen to forward our luggage, and even gave us a partial refund when the actual price turned to be lower than their original estimate.This hotel charged us around 7500. They weren't transparent about this either, but only said there's a "service charge" after I've inquired about the price discrepancy. I then had to inquire further to understand how the charge is calculated. It gave us a feeling like one would have when getting ripped off at a tourist trap attraction or restaurant. I don't see what a hotel at this price range has to gain from such policies.

I feel like it's a hidden gem in Tokyo. Clean, spacious (for Tokyo standards), amazing location (quiet but suuuper close to Shinjuku). Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Will come back, no doubt.

The room is clean and big for japanese hotel. have washing and dryer machine. seperate toilet from shower. Have full kitchen and have a nespresso machine.

Perfect location, quiet but only 10 min walk to Nishi Shinjuku station, great staff, super convenient wash machine and very comfortable bed!Have stayed here for at least 5 times!

Very nice, roomy and convenient walking distance to market and Shinjuku station. We also walked to the beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen Botanical Garden.

Oakwoods quality- clean, efficient, well equipped, clean. Apartment is 10 mins walking from Shinjuku station, with lots of eateries around, convenient to do shopping also. Washer and dryer in the apartment and can cook a meal without any problems.

I was very disappointed to find an unexpected charge added to my bill for a “broken door lock” after my stay. I used the door in a normal and reasonable way, and it’s unacceptable to be held responsible for something that should not have broken with standard use. A hotel room lock should be durable and well-maintained. If it failed, that points to a maintenance issue—not guest misuse.I reached out to dispute the charge, but I felt unfairly blamed for something beyond my control. This left a very negative impression after what was otherwise a decent stay. I hope the hotel reconsiders how it handles situations like this, as it really affected my overall experience.

The apartment was spacious and well located. The staff were very helpful; first in our late check in, and secondly in helping send our bags on to our Kyoto hotel.

had a prawn sandwich and a coffee in the lobby when we checked in which was amazing. Location was fanstastic, across the road from a convenience store which had everything. Room was fine for what we wanted and for our budget. Room had washing machine/dryer which was very handy. close to the action, only a 10 minute walk. staff were amazing and very helpfull. I love everything about this place!! I stayed 5 nights here with my elder sis, we love and enjoy this cozy little apartment very very much. Honestly, our first impression- it seems a bit pricey to us, but they provides FREE taxi that pick us up at Haneda Airport! Then when we arrived at the apartment, it was almost 12 midnight, we were greeted by a very helpful and friendly security guard, he helped us through the check-in process. Then the cleanliness of the room is almost flawless! We stayed for 5 nights but they did room service for us on the 3rd day without extra charge! Most importantly, the location is unbeatable too!! Also, on the check-out day, they kindly let us store our luggage (4 big + 2 small pieces ) with them for free until 10pm! WOW!! The size of the apartment is a bit small, but it's in Tokyo! Not to mention it's located the center of Shinjuku! After the long walk in Tokyo everyday, we still feeling super comfortable while coming home to this little cozy apartment. There are lots of convenience stores, and restaurants near by. We especially love shopping at the supermarket named Olympic, it's just few blocks away. We got fresh Wagyu and other ingredients there, bring back and cooked it in the kitchen.I can't say enough good things about this property. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back in the future! It's well-worth every penny!

Staying in an apartment like this one was a great idea. Much larger than hotel rooms in the area and having our own kitchen was a huge convivence. The bathroom facilities were also top notch. There is also a cafe on the ground floor of this building!

A great place to stay for a holiday or work trip. I didn't use the kitchenette, but it was well-equipped. Great to have laundry facilities too. The shower/bath was great once I'd worked out how to use the digital controls. Incredibly comfy bed. I slept very well there! Views from my room were very urban and I can see some of the major skyscrapers. The cafe in the foyer sold delicious sandwiches and coffees for the morning. Fair prices too.

Nothing to complain about at all. The staff were very helpful. When the AC unit in my room was making a noise, they swiftly moved me to another identical room.

Great location in , close to the heart of Shinjuku but also in a quieter local back street. Great restaurants here. Felt safe
