    Pros +

    • Social Hostel and Staff was nice and helpful. Check in and out process was fast and quick.
    • Location was great, beds were clean, bathrooms had marks, but appeared sanitized. Great place to socialize.
    • Staff was amazing! Very social hostel little far away but the environment made up for it!

    Cons -

    • Room is somewhat old and small. Breakfast is very simple(eggs, bread, yogurt, and granola)
    • Hard to help, but despite the bed being enclosed, you could still hear everything that happened in the room and the door everytime someone opened it. Neighboring bed light was not entirely blocked out either, so if your neighbor used it late, it would be bright.
    • Bed was a bit rough. Think I just got unlucky though because spoke with a few others and there’s were fine! Also the dryer in the middle of the laundry rooms the worst avoid it if you can!

Location was great. 10 minutes walk for 3 metro station. Close to Golden street and downtown Shinjuku. No really close restaurants but a コンビニ with meters. Social scene was good as well. There is a bar/restaurant in the basement. The breakfast was also complimentary.

Hot water in some stalls would go out and not hot water at sink in bathroom. Also not allowed to wear shower shoes in shower area. I would understand if the area was consistent cleaned but it wasn’t. Often times you would see hair on the floor and trash overflowing. If you don’t want outside shoes or shower shoes in shower area recommend providing guest with indoor or toilet shoes.

    Inexpensive, good vibes, good location

Got athlete's foot from their disgusting moldy shower, very very bare bones, nickel and dime you on silly things like renting a towel

Clean comfy bed, friendly staff, lively social space with events going on downstairs, in a quiet area with lots of convenience stores.

There were lockers in the rooms but none that fit carry on suitcases. Hot water was unstable in shower (went cold for 1-2 min).

I liked how people were friendly and that they offered free breakfast

The beds and pillows were very uncomfy, I stayed in the female dormitory and men are only allowed on the floor to clean from 11-4pm however, during the evening I have seen the male staff come in to clean the shower without even announcing themselves. They just walked in without making their presence known and it was very uncomfortable especially when anything could’ve been happening. I was very disappointed.

A nice space in every bunk in the mixed dorm I stayed. The luggage area was spacious enough that I had no problem. Locked drawer with key helped me feel good. Showers were clean without issue, all shared spaces were helpful. Free breakfast was good and restaurant was generally a nice place. Luggage storage room for checkout day was very useful.

Not unclean but it's not like it's spotless. To be expected from the type of property. I don't really think there were any issues. I wish the rooftop had something going on but it IS December so that's more than reasonable.

Always had friendly people to meet in the bar downstairs. And for the most part quiet at night

Cleaning of bathrooms took quite a while so sometimes you’d be out of luck for a shower after hiking around town

It's in the heart of tokyo. Many izakayas around there and so close to golden gai. Totally love the vibes. Many tourists are staying here. I got free drink ticket and breakfast is free too

    Everything is good

Easy to check-in. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.

    Nothing to not like.

The staff at the hostel are very kind, knowledgable and helpful of needs. The price is fair for the area and the location was fairly walkable to the main attractions in Shinjuku without being loud or noisy at night. There is a convenience store right across the street, and a bar downstairs, which was nice!

This is a bit of a mega hostel, with about 30 people sleeping in one room. Not too much of an issue as the beds are all capsule style so you get your privacy. The beds are not very comfortable and are the cheap twin kind with springs in them that you can feel crunch under you as you move, and unfortunately my springs seemed to come loose in the middle of the second night which made sleeping uncomfortable. With 30 people in a room, there are hardly any places to put your luggage, let alone securely. I was walking over many peoples luggage just getting to my bunk. The common spaces could use a renovation as there are a lot of cosmetic dings all over the place. Because there are so many people staying, it can lack intimacy which makes fostering connection a little difficult. The nearest strain station is also about 10 minutes away walking, but there's good places to eat nearby.

No frills and a clean place. I liked the community room and the ability to cook.

It was a bit distance from Shinjuku station. I was looking for something closer. It was a 10 minute walk.

Staff was great, in a great area near lots of convinient stores and restaurants. The place is clean and nice. Really good spot.

I didnt like how hot the rooms were. I'm not sure it theyr'e adjustable but it was uncomfortable. I wish there was more ventilation because I kept smelling strong fragances and they kept lingering. I know this isnt on the facility but some people dont follow the quiet hours times and I kept getting woken up. Place was great though.

I think this is my seventh time to stay here! I usually stay in Tokyo on the weekends because I go to the countryside on the weekdays whether that’s near Tokyo or some part of Japan like Tochigi for Nikko, Ishikawa, Nagano, Okinawa and Fukuoka! I feel at home here because I’m already friends with the staff! Some of them come from my country, Philippines! And so I feel right at home here!

Nothing. I felt the bars close earlier than most places, but it’s a hostel so I guess peace and quiet is also important past 11. Some locks are damaged every now and then but I felt safe enough to stay here. I’ve been back seven times so I enjoy the company here!

Amazing experience! Straightforward rooms, clean and quiet, lots of space in shared bathrooms. They had an event which was nice to join and meet others. People were very kind- both staff and guests. They also do a good job at making the rules clear so everyone is very respectful of others.

More space for luggage’s but I was able to put a lot of stuff in my actual bed area which was nice! Not a big issue- just have to stay organized and plan ahead.

    7ChiaPosted on: 11-19-2025

Spaces were modern and facilities were exactly as described.

Too many people in one single dormitory. Limited space for luggage.

Great value - got a happy hour drink, luggage storage, and breakfast, all in a great location. The setup of the hostel meant that things were actually quiet in the sleeping quarters...socializing was limited to the first-floor kitchen and lounge, and the basement bar.

It was clean, but could have been a bit cleaner...the bathrooms could have used a deep clean.
