Clean and convenient from takanawa gateway station & Shinagawa station.

Probably only the pillows could be harder.

Quite surprised for a city/business hotel how spacious it was . Good value for the price . Hope they don’t raise their prices when Shinagawa station renovation is complete .

Need more washing machine . 2 is not enough .

The evening complimentary snack was great. I loved that they have a couple of tables in the lobby where you can bring in your own food and eat. The rooms are rather small but well appointed. Very quiet hotel. The staff was super sweet and helpful.

I wish I could get to the floor my friends and family were staying on more easily. The room didn't have much room for our luggage.

Very nice rooms, if they were a little bigger I would say this is a 5-star hotel, but unfortunately the rooms were somewhat small. Everything looked brand new, there wasn't a single thing in the room that indicated the rooms were old. Really nice bathroom and shower room. The room was well insulated even though it was on the main road. There is a lounge area that serves some small foods and drinks in the evening. Check-in/out was very easy. In-between a couple train stations and it was an easy enough walk from any station to get to the hotel.

There isn't much directly around the hotel, this is a business district so there aren't the huge streets of restaurants and shopping like there are in other parts of Tokyo. The hotel is on a major road that is not good for walking around, if you're a tourist then you'll most likely be taking the train somewhere else instead of walking around the hotel. Room is fine for one person, a little small for two people, and I wouldn't want to have 3 or more people in these rooms.

Stayed here for one night, because it was close to Haneda airport (20 min uber, around 60k yen) and also close (10 min walk) to Shinagawa station so that we could catch the bullet train out of there early the next morning. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Could help yourself to snacks and drinks during the day.

Location is ok, 10 minutes walk from Shintoshin or Sengakuji stations. Many parks and attractions, including the Ginza, are within an hour's walk. Breakfast was average for the hotels we stayed at during our 2-week Japan trip. Free snacks and drinks provided in the evening are a nice touch.

Not the hotel's fault - in fact I'm sure they don't like it - but there is a huge construction zone across the street, and with a lack of buildings there, the noise from a dozen train tracks on the other side of the construction zone is much more noticeable. Keeping windows closed minimizes the noise.

I m so glad to have chosen to stay at Miyako City Takanawa- It is located next to the new Takanawa Gateway JR/NEWoman Shopping Mall. Tokyo Metro Sengakuji just 10 mins away. We like it as it is away from the hustle bustle, yet close enough to Shinagawa where major transport lines gathered. We love the clean and comfortable beds, nice touches in the rooms and the big shower area. There was sufficient space for us to open our 2 luggage, which is a rare as Japan hotel rooms are generally small! We will definitely choose to stay here again when we visit Tokyo.

Room was bright and modern. Could open the window for fresh air. Great facilities. Downstairs lobby was a nice place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day. Well located between Shinagawa and Takanawa Gateway stations.

Good location close to Takanawa Gateway and Shinagawa Station. Rooms are a good size as well for a major area in Tokyo. Staff were helpful and friendly, bar was nice, and breakfast was good every morning. Would stay again.

Elevators could be a little slow during checkout and checkin times.

The location within a short walking distance from JR Takanawa Gateway Station was very convenient. The property was spotlessly clean.

I felt the breakfast buffet didn’t seem to have wide enough variety of dishes.
