Tokyu Stay Shimbashi - Ginza area

Close to train station and seven eleven. Liked the washer/dryer.

Some usb ports would be nice.

The room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel staff were kind, helpful, and always available. The hotel is a 4 minute walk to the train station. As a one-night stay, it served us well as it was located between HND airport and the Shibuya area.

Free amenities like breakfast were not available. The location is close enough to the train station, but it is still relatively far from the Shibuya area.

Breakfast was nice and simple

Difficulty using the washer. Didn’t realize I had to turn on the water valve. It would have been helpful to have directions in English

Hotel is in a great area. Its close to metro. 15 minutes by train to Ginza. 15-20 min to Shibuya and Shinjuku. Very quiet and close to so many local food places. 15 minutes from Rikyu Gardens.

Location

I stayed 14 days, the hotel did cleaning only twice. No toilet cleaning no room cleaning no change on bed sheet and pillows.

Having a washing machine and a microwave inside the room was a big bonus. The area was very close to many cheap and good food options.

The mattress was a little too firm for us.

Nice location and staff great facility

Quick walk to train station. The room we booked had a washer dryer combo and a bathtub. Had a genuinine good experience as it was good service and sizable room for two. Also, has luggage storage if early and same-day storage for check out. The hotel is about 1 stop from Ginza and reasonably walkable.

Great location and close to transit. And the convenience of having your own washing machine. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The facility is a bit dated. When we first arrived in our room there was a persistent stinky smell in the bathroom that we mitigated by spraying freshener. The drainage was not very good as well. The water drained very slowly in our bathtub and it was persistent throughout our 6 night stay. Although the location is great, because it’s so close to Shimbashi station and our room was facing the station I could hear the train sounds frequently - sound proofing from the window wasn’t the greatest. Note that the washing machine if you plan to wash and dry one load it can take up 4 hours so don’t leave until you need clothes to wash. Also there is no daily cleaning like most hotels. They will take out the trash and provide fresh towels if requested but this information was given after arriving at the hotel.

The room environment was good. It is perfect for travelers who prefer to stay near the train station and in a busy, vibrant area.

The number of plug in the room was insufficient and inconvenience for us.

The hotel is perfectly located to scores of restaurants and the Shimbashi station. Staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are nice.

Washer/dryer that actually works well. For this trip I booked Tokyu Stay twice specifically for this purpose.Location - it's a fairly quiet area but means you need to walk a bit to get to food/shopping. However with a longer walk (15-20min) you can walk to parts of Ginza.

Very expensive, but it probably makes sense given you can walk to Ginza.Basic rooms/amenities considering the price.

Near a skytrain station and food area

Wasn’t clean. Booked a non-smoking room but when we got there it smelled of cigarette so they gave us another room. Bed and pillows weren’t comfortable at all. The walls wasn’t so clean. You can definitely tell it’s an old building.

On the positive side, it is convenient, clean, good staff, and has a great breakfast.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and the bedding marginal. We stayed in the cozy double, and it was really small. We had two standard, carry-on suitcases and there was no room to open them. They should provide better pictures of each room so you know what you are getting before hand.

The location was near Shimbashi station and was convenient for a first time visitor to use trains to travel around the city. It was near a vibrant nighttime scene – with a restaurants, lights and people in the streets.

The room was small for two to share. The public lobby and corridors finishes were very dated. There wasn’t a comfortable place to sit in the lobby.

Fair value given Location (proximity to Tokyo Station etc). Loved the Option of a washer/dryer in my room.

Room was typically tight - Not mich Space for 2 luggages.

Booked this for the washing machine that was mentioned. Needed help to reassure myself that we were operating it correctly, despite instructions. Have to say that we paid a premium for it, as it would’ve been cheaper to stay somewhere nearby that had laundry facilities that were NOT in the room. It also took four hours to finish one load of laundry as the dryer is part of the washer /dryer combined function. Staff was very helpful, seeing that we could store our luggage until late the next day.Didn’t avail ourselves of the breakfast, but the free coffee was a nice touch .

Rooms were small and the bed too close to the wall.

The breakfast, the view from our room, and the location, as well as the friendly staff. It was really nice that we had our own washing machine and trouser press.
