    Pros +

    • The location is close to Ueno Station which is a huge plus as I could take the lower cost main-line train from Narita Airport costing about JY1300
    • Location is nearby station
    • Great location! We could walk to the train station to get to the airport. Also in walking distance to Akihabara.

    Cons -

    • Rooms were very small, and beds were narrower than others
    • I think need to have more laundry and dry machine so we don’t wait too long
    • The beds were a little uncomfortable but great for the price we paid.

host was kind enough to create event with mini games & tour to shrine in the new year eve, they even make effort to provide free lunch the next day considering people would woke up late after new year celebration.

the bed mattress was a bit aged

No breakfast offered. This was a hostel no usual animaties. i.e. TV, Refer,

The staff were helpful and considerate, she waited for us to check in as we arrived at Haneda Airport after midnight.

Recently renovated (2021) budget hotel with a competent and accomodating english-speaking staff. Location is excellent. Yushima station (subway) is literally steps away while Okachimachi station (Yamanote line) is about 5 to 10 minutes away. Family Mart is 1 street-crossing away.

A bit dusty, probably due to the carpet flooring. No molds though (huge plus as many other budget hotels have this issue). Beds are on the thinner side.

The location is very good. Neer the train stations, a convenience store, DonQ and just a walking distance to Ueno park & Ameyoko.

Nothing. The rooms are very clean. The staff are very accomodating.

the place is near Ueno station, Ameyoko Shopping St, a lot of food places and the subway. It is value for money, basic and yet surprisingly clean and functional. Will stay there again!

Great location. Clean. Safe and quiet. Would stay there again.

    Beds were not comfortable.

Room for 4 was good and clean, a little small space to move inside but manageableSuper close to stations was able to move around tokyo easilyArea was quiet and safeStaff were helpful and friendly, had a great stay

Good location, spacious room. The bunk bed makes a little noise when moving. You have to ask the staff for the hair dryer and lamp when checking in. Overall, it's very good value if you come in a group of four or five people. It's very suitable, but not suitable for those who prefer privacy.

Some staff may be dissatisfied or they may have encountered something bad during the day. When wiping tables or cleaning, they make loud noises.

Near the metro and shopping centre. Quiet neighborhood. Our family enjoyed the experience and stay here. Will come back definitely. We recommend this hostel for those who seek comfort and at the same time, budget friendly accommodation in Tokyo

    10Maria L.Posted on: 10-26-2025

Location is great. Located in a quiet residential area but also close to malls and Ameyoko market.

    10Russel J. A.Posted on: 8-4-2025

The room was very spacious. We were a family of five and able to move around the room comfortably. The hostel also offers free self-service laundry. It also has a shower room and comfort rooms in the common areas, just in case you need them. Very close to restaurants, shops, and train stations.

The only downside of our stay in this hostel was the noise of the kids' footsteps on the upper floor. Nonetheless, we are happy with our stay in this hostel. Highly recommended!

It was very clean, user friendly, well organized. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was very convenient.

    9JacquelinePosted on: 7-18-2025

Comfy beds, kitchen, washer and driers, central, youth hostel but with private bathroom for family

The area was convenient but also had some adult entertainment venues which I didn’t like my kids being around

    CleanQuietNear train stations and stores

The matress, but it’s not a big deal

    8CristinaPosted on: 6-2-2025

Very close to everything- multiple train lines, malls, restos

    Uncomfortable beds

    9TomyPosted on: 5-31-2025

Very clean, efficient. Rooms had all you need, no frills. Towels provided were nice, WiFi was strong, location was amazing being close by a transit station, and also tucked in a quiet area.

Space was a bit cramped, but not too bad. Beds were a bit creaky and made sounds easily.
