Toyoko Inn Tokyo Asakusa Kuramae No.1

The location was great, very centrally located.

Very rigid on check in time. I had to wait in the lobby for an hour plus for 3pm to come by even though room was ready. Shower is old, reminds me not an old motorhome shower.

Breakfast is good and convenient location.

Hanging clothes was a challenge. Need a better system.

Friendly staff, near the station, great breakfast, accommodating staff and clean facilities.

the location is perfect. walking distance from the subway, convenience stores and others. breakfast was great and staff is really kind and efficient. would stay again for sure.

Great location. Close enough to Asakusa station and the sights without the crowds. Two metro lines minutes away, including one for Haneda and Narita airports. Staff are nice and hospitable. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was decent.

Location, Cleanliness,Service and Value for Money

Food.Not much options for international travelers. Mostly Japanese Food

I only stayed here 1 night, but was really impressed by the quality of the room for the value.The room was relatively large for a double.The staff was extremely polite and helpful, holding my bags early and helping me check my bag weight.The breakfast was fresh and satisfying.No issues with the WiFi, TV, bed, or bathroom.Great location close to Asakusa and Kuramae subway.Had washer & dryer in lobby, refrigerator in hotel room.

If check-in was earlier than 4PM, it would be perfect!

Lobby and breakfast area so small

The location is excellent. Close to kuramae station and asakusa station which is the starting point for nikko. Staff are courteous. Rooms are comfortable and toiletries are provided including night suit. Many choices to eat nearby.

Bathrooms are very high and uncomfortable for older people to step out. Bathtubs are very high and again not easy to get into. Breakfast is japanese and not labelled so for non japanese travellers difficult to understand. Toilet spray has japanese labels.

Fine for one night but wouldn’t recommend.

Wish we’d done more research before booking this hotel (our friends chose it).It’s quite old and rundown, the facilities weren’t ideal - the washing machine just being in front of the lift. The location wasn’t great, a bit of a walk to get to the shopping area. (again see point one).

The breakfast was excellent, the hotel location is very good. I always choose Toyoko Inn hotels, I like almost everything about them. Asakusa is the best location in Tokyo at my stays in Japan.

The room had a window that faced to the wall of another building, so nothing could be seen. It was dark the whole time.

Very nice staffs, specially the breakfast ladies. Made you feel welcomed every morning.

The bed is on the harder side. The bathroom ceiling is low.

Helpful staff, near sensoji temple and free breakfast

Great location in a quiet part of Tokyo, free drinking water and breakfast with a common area/tables in the lobby. All the essentials in the room.

The bathroom was elevated in that a noticeable step up to get inside but I got used to it.

The location is good.

This hotel is on a busy street and unfortunately there is a lot of street noise. I didnt get much sleep. The breakfast area is very small and I did not bother having the free breakfast.

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and professional in their approach to any additional requests. The room was very ergonomic for a solo traveler, and while the bathroom was slightly smaller than expected there was still enough space to move around comfortably. The breakfast food selection was quite good and the quality of it was very well. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at this location for any short to average length of stay.

The only complaint was a lack of much natural light in the room, especially in the morning hours.

We really enjoyed the room itself, great location, close to the train station and a main area. Friendly staff who were happy to help and clean room.

The only thing about the rooms were the beds were a bit hard, making sleeping a tad uncomfortable. The other thing was the bathrooms were a lot smaller than expected.

The room was big and clean.

Pillow was hard. No clear space for outdoor shoes to put when coming inside.

Located near the tourist attractions but still quiet. Also near the subway stations. Even only need one subway away from Narita. The room is compact yet effective. The breakfast is pretty basic but all good.

The room feels a little bit old.
