    Pros +

    • The breakfast was phenomenal but also very expensive.
    • The service of the Mandarin is always top notch. Add the japanese quality and hospitality and you are in heaven. The staff would go ABOVE AND BEYOND every need that you may have. Our flight was early in the morning so we arrived at the hotel at around 6am. We were able to check in and leave our bags to grab breakfast, and they tried their best to have our room ready by 10am. The location is upscale. You are surrounded with malls - Mitsukoshi and Coredo where you have many dining options. If you wish to go elsewhere, the building has a direct train access from B1 which makes it so convenient.
    • The Spa was amazing, best one in my life because of the view. It is a place that makes you not go out, it has all the facilities: gym, food, coffee, interaction, relaxation.

    Cons -

    • A daily service fee of over $70 USD was not appreciated. The HVAC system was not modernized and did not work as well as it should for a 5 star property.
    • It was all ok.
    • Most of the staff doesn’t speak English at all. Which weird I think for 5 stars hotel.

central location, accessible to the metroincredible hospitality, large rooms, friendly staffamazing restaurants

    The view over Toyo

The lifts were unusual. One lift to get to reception. Another down to room. When leaving room it was necessary to take lift up then change lifts to go down to street level.

Location, clean, services and size of the room

The price is extremely high comparing to same level of hotel.

Fabulous location in Tokyo. Hotel starts on the 38th floor so views are amazing in every direction. Comfortable and room layout is ideal. Lots of outlets to charge camera, iPhones, laptops, etc. We did a 3 night post day after a Tauck tour.

    10JunePosted on: 5-7-2024

The pizza bar at 38th floor is the reason we booked the hotel. Room was great too. They did their best to celebrate my partners birthday and we had a great time.

    location is very commercial.

The check in staff was very polite and helpful at the main reception.Access/entrance for Cars - outside is a beautiful artificial waterfall. The room was really nice, huge, luxurius. Perfect view. We got a really nice gift - some Sakura cake, Rose wein, pralines. Breakfast - The quality of the food was on highest level.Late check out was not a problem, which was very nice, because we had a late flight back.We left our Postcads on the reception without the stemps, and tey took care of them. This was a really nice gesture.Concierge desk - the lady was very nice. She was probably new because she was not sure about the operating hours for the breakfast but the reservation for the Japanese restaurant was the perfect choice and she answered very fast on every request. There are also a lot off options to dine in the Hotel. Beautiful spa.

Access/entrance for Cars - the loby needs some renovation. The wooden furniture looks really old. Also at the main reception and the toilete etc. you can see the furniture is old.The staff at this reception was a little confused and not really helpful.Huge spa but no swimming pool. We waited for the room till 15.30. But had a late check out, so this compensate the waiting. We wanted to drink a tea in the tea room, but were not able, because they told us they are busy. Only two tables were ocupied, so it felt strange.Breakfast - the service was really slow. We waited 50 minutes for the eggs. We asked 4 times, but nothing hapened. Also custumers in front of us waited so long. At the end when we finished the breakfast we got the eggs. Very nice lady sad that the breakfast will be on here because of the dissaster about the service, and really there was no charge on the bill. Still service needs improvement.Later we have been in Mandarin Hotel in Dubai and Dubai is one level better.

Staff are well trained, engaging and friendly and speak english. We normally stay at the Hyatt but enjoy our stop at Mandarin. Lovely big rooms , lots of natural light. The location is great and right next to Ginza subway . Many restaurants in the area . The bar had a good vibe and we just had a very lovely time at this hotel ! We are Fans !

    Stunning views

A bit strange coming in the ground floor but the reception was on the 38th floor

    10JasminePosted on: 4-20-2024

Loved the location, proximity to Ginza and Nihombashi, all the places we love to visit. And it’s in the quiet part of Tokyo.

    8LindaPosted on: 4-8-2024

Very clean and modern room with amenities and luxury items provided.

    Its a bit overpriced.

    10CatherinePosted on: 4-8-2024

The service levels at this hotel were outstanding. The hotel is beautiful. Restaurants and breakfast buffet excellent

It’s not cheaper but it’s worth every penny

    10WingPosted on: 3-27-2024

The services of hotel is excellent including check in counter, room service and the bell boy. Luckily we saw the Fuji Mountain at one morning and that is total amazing! The room is spacious! Service and food are both excellent for the breakfast

Less possible to book the traditional Japanese restaurant inside hotel as only 8 seats available. Some taxi drivers hard to locate the entrance of hotel

    6WaiPosted on: 3-13-2024

The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The main entrance is worse. Everytime we went back to our room needs to climb up to 38/F first and then change lift then to our room. Breakfast should be granted for staying over 2 nights.

The Mandarin Oriental is a high class hotel.Exceptional rooms, high class restaurants and super efficient staff.

There was nothing negative to say, Everything was superb and although the hotel is expensive you have the feeling it was money well spent.

    10RajvirPosted on: 3-8-2024

Excellent service. And unreal views. A real luxury.

Expensive. But if no expense spared it is worth it. It’s not central but has great transport lines and being in the quiet helps relax and unwind.
