Hotel Kizankan

The staff members were very friendly and polite. They were nice and flexible enough to let me check-in early. Always pleasure dealing with polite Japanese people. Great experience!

The bed mattress was a bit springy and uncomfortable but good enough to have a good sleep. Nothing particular to complain about.

The staff was nice and the location was very close to the metro station.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms was very poor. Pink and black mold were everywhere. The walls inside the room were dirty and old.

Room was very cozy and clean with great view to the neighborhood. Walking distance to the train station and restaurants.

Room is big enough since we have 3 adults. Location is excellent as we needed one very near Uni of Tokyo campus! Easy access to eateries & especially train station. Breakfast is simple but very good spread!

Location is perfect. Cleanly maintained.

No drinking water supply in room. I have to take it from the bathroom. While Japanese majbtain high standards of water, i am not sure about the tap.

The room is clean. Amenities were complete. Facilities are good. The location is great for access to the train station and bus stop. You can find various shops, minimarket, and cafe/restaurant located just a few meters from the hotel.

I really like the location of the hotel, where it was closed with a train station (Hongo-Sanchome Station, the station we usually used to go around Tokyo as well as to Shibuya and Shinjuku), which is can easily be accessed by me and my family, going around with large luggage. Moreover, I like the staff, they are very kind and friendly, that can also understand English which is very convenient for us.

I might say the location of the hotel can be confusing for starters as it was a bit hidden.

Good location near University of Tokyo, helpful and kind staff and relatively good price-performance.

Everything a bit old, cleanliness is not the best and the breakfast wasn't very good and definitely not worth the money.

It's the nearest hotel from Tokyo University Hongo Campus. I have a business in the university, so the location is really good for that. I came a bit too early but they let me rest in the room so I'm really thankful for that. It's also easy to find food around the hotel.

Bed was a little hard and no nice scenery, but that's not much of a problem for me.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help, although I don’t speak any Japanese. The location is very good, only 5 minutes walking to the university.

The room is a bit small, but I don’t consider it to be a problem since small rooms are quite common in Tokyo.

Staff were amazing, solved any issues really fast. Hotel had free umbrellas available to borrow. Daily cleaning, as well as new fresh robes. Area is nice and quiet, however only a few minutes from a train station.

I chose a single room. It was convenient with full facilities. The bathroom is great. I like the toilet.

For me, the room was quite hot. I went to Japan form Korea on Jan 17th.

The location is strategically placed just a few minutes walk from the Hongo-sanchome subway station. Although the hotel is inside a small alley, big roads filled with many restaurants and convenient stores are just outside the alley. Therefore, it is relatively calm at night and good for taking a good sleep. Not all staff can accommodate English conversation but all of them are always helpful in assisting with any inquiries. Regarding the amenities, I personally like the hand/face wash because it does not make skin dry.

The carpet inside the room is clean. However, I believe it will be better if the hotel changes all carpet with new ones.

I was worried about the safety of the rooms since they give the room keys without verifying who you are. I was asking if I can just take my keys with me but that old man yelled at me telling me it wasn’t his fault for connecting a call to my room with the wrong guest name! What if they come and just ask for my keys?! That old man just yelled and yelled! There’s no safe in the room and it doesn’t lock automatically, u have to make sure you lock it! the curtains are so old, it’s not black- out drapes anymore. It’ll be hard if you have big luggages.

Best location, only 15 minutes walking to Tokyo Dome. All the staffs is helpful.
