SUPER HOTEL Ikebukuro West Natural Hot Spring

Clean, enough room for single traveller, great breakfast, service, and onsen.

+ the staff was kind and very helpful+ the location was perfect for the Ikebukuro station + the onsen was great

- the options for the breakfast could be bigger, but it’s my opinion! At the end it was good and delicious!

Location is very convenient, there is an elevator right next to the building that leads from the Fukutoshin line exit. The staff are incredibly friendly and nice they were very helpful to me during my stay. I ended up sick one day and staying in the hotel was very quiet I couldn't hear the cleaners next door. Location if very good with everything you need (drugstore, convenient store etc. within 10 min walk radius). The hot spring is a great way to relax at the end of the day.

There is only 1 elevator in both old and new building, nothing bad to note, just a little inconvenient if you leave later in the day or need to drop stuff off. The cleaning staff use it during the times of 10am - 3pm so just keep that in mind.

The property had a good sizable onsen and a great buffet breakfast consisting of eggs, miso soup, and different types of bread. The bed was big too. The hotel’s core values aligned with the staff’s optimism.

It was great to have breakfast available. Coffee, pastries and many other hot options available. For those western visitors, it might not be what they are used to for breakfast options, but if you're there to embrace the experience then everything is great. Staff are super helpful and always coming to grab your empty dishes and keep the space super clean.The location of the hotel was excellent. Super close to Ikebukuro station, which is a major hub and easy to get to anywhere you want in the area. Once you use the station once, you can figure out where exit is to come up right outside the main door of the hotel. There are tons of food options and shopping available in the area. Would easily stay in the area again.Really appreciated all of the amenities at the front desk. Staff were super helpful checking in and assisting with any other questions we had.

I didn't like that the bed only had one giant pillow for 2 people. Whenever we went to get a pillow from the wall there were none left or available so we never got to use anything else.The elevators could be slow at busy times of the day. There is only 1 for each tower so they can get bogged down super easily.

This is truly a very nice hotel to stay at in Ikebukuro, which is one of the more affordable and very pleasant areas to stay in Tokyo. It is very central, close (a 5-minute walk) to Ikebukuro Station, and surrounded by lovely restaurants, shops, etc. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the backbone of this hotel. What a pleasure it is to work with them. Very respectful and helpful. The rooms, although very small—especially the bathroom—are clean and completely comfortable. I can highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast really needs more variety, and the fact that you can only have breakfast until 9 o’clock makes the place overcrowded. I had very negative experiences with the breakfast. There isn’t enough food, there is no seating available, and if you arrive after 08:30 a lot of the food is already finished. My advice would be to extend the breakfast hours to at least 10 o’clock. More variety as well, please.
