APA Hotel Kanda Ekihigashi

Staff very prof & good customer service.Linen smelled & looked clean,Bed comfy,tub tiny but nice (I buy cleaning spray for all hotels I visit).Room basic supplies-mini fridge,tea, coffee,2 mugs,2 glasses(suggested clean them yourself too).Location ideal!

Small restaurant with the hotel, staff either nervous or indifferent.Room SO TINY,tiny hallway.Rm could be much cleaner.Floors stained and wall scary with stains!No place in hotel to sit outside of room,asked for late check out,told pay 1000 Yen/hr. more

No air conditioning. Would be horrible in spring/summer

Location was great close to Kanda subway station, imperial gardens and well connected to other places. Quiet neighborhood with some cheap decent restaurant options. Complaint about room temperature acted immediately with workable solution (room fan). Option to stash luggage until checkin was helpful. Cleaning staff did not disturb when asked and provided clean towels instead.

The breakfast was barely edible. Rice had been standing for long time, not many choices, (Japanese or western). The bed was narrow, no space for luggage, warm and musty. Aircon difficult to regulate. Checkin takes a long time .. also payment at machine very customer unfriendly. QR code for luggage stashing is a weird system and not customer friendly, a tag would have been better. Only one elevator which is also used by personnel including cleaning staff. Takes a long time for it to arrive.

Great place to stay if your just staying the night. A few stores near by to get you through the night.

Just feels like nothing around here to visit or see. I was there for 1 night, so I can't say anything, really to dislike.

I choose this hotel due to its location, very close to MRT stations and area where i wish to go.

Obviously, the room suitable for single or couple. Opt for bigger room if bring in family etc.

Room was clean, front desk was super polite and helpful, location was fab, no uphills to climb when moving from Kanda station.

The room was incredibly tiny. Since we had 2 people in a room, it was impossible to have 2 luggages opened at the same time.

The location

The room was old and worn. The bench worn and marked. Holes in the sheets. Carpet dirty as feet got dirty. No TV options in English except 1 channel and 4 movies. No YouTube, no Netflix etc. Mirroring a phone is only in portrait so movies very small. Better to watch on phone. Breakfast mostly warm at best. One morning scrambled eggs and sausages stone cold. One morning at 8:30 there was no eggs and was told no more. Breakfast goes to 10:00 so tough luck if late. My wife is gluten free and eggs and rice the only option. When I booked I understood there would be options for her but it was limited. They not offer any other options or a refund and the worse she gets cold eggs. No iron or ironing board. Trouser press only which is useless for ironing and it was torn. Laundry was 1 machine and 1 dryer. No drinking water supplied in room.

The location was great

The rooms were too small, the bedding was uncomfortable, there was mold on the bathroom door handle.

Good central location with regular room service/cleaning which was very nice.

Would have been nice with an air freshener in the smoking rooms to have a more fresh smell in the room.

Nothing!! V dirty and small!

Good location, staff came every morning to change the towels and to bring more toiletries (which there were plenty of different ones, you basically could have forgotten everything at home and you’d have been fine)

Got a room that was supposed to be non-smoking, the bed sheets smelled like smoked as well as the whole floor ,which was supposed to be also non-smoking. The room is smaller than you think, like if you have multiple luggages it can get a bit tetris-y.

Easy check in on a large touch screen which was already translated to English. Very nice staff, and good location to be able to walk to most anything. The Aladdin Curry across the street was great, facilities are great, there's vending machines in the building and outside plus the Combini is very close. Everything was Very clean. Great place to stay and the room stayed in was small but I personally don't mind that (Just be cautious if you need or want more space).

Be aware of smoking rooms near yours if you're not a fan of the smell. Once up the elevator and walking to our room the smell was very strong however it didn't often leak through into our room at the very least. There was however a deodorizer spray on the desk that did help if the smell came through at all and was also good for your shoes.

The hotel is located in a good area near Kanda Station and one may find several restaurants and supermarkets. With regards the staff they were really kind and helpful. The room was clean and full of necessities. The bed was really comfortable.

The room is a bit small

I liked that is was close to Kanda station. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. Staff were quite nice. Check in and check out were very easy.

The room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable enough for two people. The neighbourhood was too quiet at night. There weren’t that many options to grab a late snack or dinner.

Walking distance from Akihabara, Imperial Palace and many other attractions. Multiple convenience stores nearby. Staff was friendly, communicated well and it was just perfect.

I think the clothes drier on third floor wasn't functioning properly, as it didn't fully dry my clothes after, on first try, 2 hours, then on second try with another batch for 3 hours. I probably should have brought it up with staff, but it was only a minor inconvenience.

Bed was too soft and room was not properly cleaned

The chattels are all very old.

Clean, comfortable & plenty of amenities in the room. I’m satisfied with my time spent here.

The duvet felt like a winter one so often found it too hot sleeping underneath. You can hear a lot of traffic noise, which is not a problem for myself but worth noting.

Breakfast is curry. Curry only. As can be expected, the room is small.

Good Housekeeping, start & finish on time - meaning we know when they do the cleaning thus we go out of our room. By evening, after our sigh seeing etc, the room were cleaned and ready.

Only if there were room ready and available, we could check in early instead of waiting for the 3pm common check-ins. As sometimes, tourists arrived at earlier flights might prefer early check in.
