Kadoya Hotel

Great value for money. Decent sized room, twins rooms with 2 king singles with space to open 2 medium size suitcases. Rooms were clean but dated. Short walk to the station, in a quieter, family appropriate area of Shinjuku.

The only problem was someone was smoking nearby and the vent was pushing to smoke into our room.

The property was super comfortable, clean and quiet. The location was great… Close to so many things. The staff were very friendly.

The property was great! It’s an awesome location with a short walk to the Shibuya station as well as across the street from a dining district, so there’s plenty of great places to get a bite, some of them being open late in the evening.

The only complaint are the pillows - however, the office had PLENTY of rental (borrow) pillow options, so it really wasn’t a complaint. It was a perfect stay.

It's not the biggest or the newest hotel in the neighborhood, yet I would give great credit on how the staff keeps this hotel a great option for people who want to stay close to Shinjuku yet expect clean and tranquile rest in their hotel room.Frontdesk Staff is very welcoming and warm. the central-controlled A/C. a bit too warm when you need fresh and crisp air to neutralize the humidity from the shower, when opening the window would be too far.

Location was perfect. Staff was wonderful. Clean, quiet, decent size room. Our tour to Kamakura pick up was right across the street at Shinjuku post office. Loads of food, convenience stores nearby.Would stay there again happily.

It was very hot during our stay. The air conditioner had a tough time keeping the room cool enough at night.

No direct meals - attached cafe was just OK. On-site vending machines were not stocked.

The location of Kadoya was excellent - a short walk from Shinjuku station. The rooms were compact, as expected but we fit our two (bookstyle) medium suitcases with no problem. Clean and comfortable. We heard no noise from other guests. Front staff friendly. Good food and coffee options nearby! Reasonably priced.

Hotel staff was polite, professional and always there to answer any questions during our stay. The rooms were clean and modern; the family especially enjoyed the bidet and heated toilet seats. In addition, the hotel was located close to shopping, bars, restaurants, 7-11, train station and other points of interest in Shinjuku.

The staff at Kadoya Hotel are very professional and polite. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of providing clean linens and keeping the hotel in tip top shape. Kadoya Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Shinjuku station and is a 3 walk from Komeda Coffee.

If I have to list as dislike, it would be that I had to leave early. I had a family emergency, which caused me to leave two days earlier than I had planned.

Good location, next to the Shinjuku station. Friendly staff. Spacious room (comparing with other Japanese hotels). The thing I liked most was a massage chair in a room, a really cool to have when you’ve walked all day. Nice breakfast with two options: western style and Japanese style.

The price in my opinion is very high. Old facilities in the bathroom. Dust in a room.

Very proximity to train station and malls , restaurants and some of the attractions.

A small boutique hotel in a great location with helpful staff and a nice little coffee shop attached. We would return without hesitation.

The Kadoya Hotel front desk and housekeeping staff are top rate. They responded very quickly and kindly to a couple of requests that made my stay very comfortable. Sometimes, it's the little things that make all the difference. In this case, I give full credit to the hotel staff. In addition, the location could not have been better, easy walking to Shinjuku Station and two other metro line stations, along with lots of restaurants and shopping.

Rooms are small by American standards…. No microwave but everything about the hotel is great!!!

Not so clean, it is in declined status. Room and facility is so tight.

The property is conveniently located. There’s a Lawson right next door, plenty of restaurants nearby and a 5 min walk to the Shinjuku station. They offer plenty of amenities in the lobby and the washing machine on the 3rd floor was affordable.

Our first room smelled like cigarettes and when we told staff, they went up to check and gaslighted us. They eventually ended up switching our room. Every room had a humidifier, so they most definitely know that it smells like cigarettes. Secondly, the listing says there is AC, but there’s only one setting that the hotel controls. They gave us a fan, but that just added to the humidity, and made it muggy.

Location. Clean and comfortable. Staff were super helpful in arranging luggage storage for us while we climbed Mt.Fuji over 2 days.
