Pros +
- I loved the shower. It was hot and the pressure was good.
- Breakfast is a delight. Staff was very accommodating for a vegetarian..
- I thought the room would be much smaller than it was, but it actually was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and cleaned the room everyday. Breakfast was great option and better than most places. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons -
- Small storage space for kuggage and clothes
- There is a policy to refrain from entering your room from 10:30am-3pmÃÂ. This is rough when one has jet lag and needs to rest. We found out that it's ok to request no cleaning so the rule will not apply.
- The room smelled a bit odd (a bit like rice?), but it was not terrible.

Everything! It was super clean, had a great location, and the staff were extremely friendly.
The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed! The hotel is very clean with beautiful views.
Staff offered excellent customer service. Daily room service for fresh towels and bottled water every day. I also appreciated having access to amenities I might need, such as toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, and even hair brushes! It was also great coming back to an air conditioned room every day.
I loved the staff, the traditional Japanese style room and the public bath. The location was also fantastic!
The room was incredible for our family (of 3) and we had a view of the temple! The staff were delightful and accommodating and there were many helpful and thoughtful amenities. We're planning our next trip to Tokyo now, and we'll be back again! Arigato gozaimasu!!
Absolutely beautiful, staff were so respectful and so nice. Next time we are in the area we will be booking again! It was so nice to crack open a window at night and see the beautiful landscape and temple. Truly a healing destination. ❤️
Location is fantastic, ryokan was exceptionally clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the Kiku room. The room size is great for 2 people (about 15 square metres) and very clean. The bathroom is spacious for us. The location is fantastic, so close to Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise Street and the Asakusa train lines (Metro, Toei etc). The lobby has coffee and hot water machines where you can make your coffee and tea. Snacks are also provided. The hotel is also very quiet at night, and the ryokan have a noise curfew policy between 10 pm to 7 am. We are so glad that we chose to stay in the Asakusa area.
I changed rooms to a small room after my friend left, and the staff moved my bags from my original room to my new room for me. Which was lovely and allowed me to explore for the day and return to check in to my new room when it was available. Baths, staff, and location were all amazing.
The single room without a view lives up to its description- haha. The windows looked directly to adjacent building walls. For me, not a big issue - but if you can go for a room with a view. It’s well worth it.
The location in the heart of Asakusa near the Ginza line really made it easy to travel in and out of the area. The tatami room was relaxing, and the baths with the views of Sensoji Pagoda and the Skytree were lovely. And the staff were very nice and helpful.
The chairs in the room weren’t very comfortable, but the floor cushions and table were fine.
The room was bigger in person than what it seemed in the photos. What a nice surprise! The onsen was lovely, and one of the baths has an incredible view of the skytree. You can see a similar view from the garden on the same floor as the onsen. :) The other bath has a view of Senso-ji. The baths alternate between night and day, so go before bed and when you wake up for the whole experience ;)The staff was very kind as well. All in all a very warm welcome to Tokyo. Location is fantastic as well, as I am a fan of staying in Asakusa.
Excellent Japanese tatami room in prime location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The baths were small but offered nice views. Lots of great restaurants near by.
Asakusa is very very crowded around new years.
a beautiful ryokan meets modern hotel. we really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very nice and helpful. the location was very convenient as well. the facilities were great.
- we stayed for 12 nights so the futon was maybe a bit thin for a long stay. - there was a really bad smell in the bathroom everyday (went away each time we used the water in the shower and sink). - the onsens had blurred windows so we actually couldn’t enjoy the view that is shown on pictures.
Excellent location in Asakusa. Close to Senso-ji Temple, shopping and all other eateries.Very convenient. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Just the beds are a little too hard. I booked the room where it’s Japanese style ( with tatami beds) and maybe it is hard because beds are on the floor.
The employees at the front desk helped my friend and I with various questions, especially shipping our luggage to the airport. They were very friendly and kind and went above our expectations.

The check in process, the amenities, complimentary snacks, the attentiveness of the staff.
