    Pros +

    • It was spacious.
    • Clean and has a kitchen with a fridge, very helpful for travelers with kids. 7-eleven is within the hotel building though on the main street. Very close to Tokyo StationThere are multiple amenities available free of charge once you check in including the usage of some electronics like Apple TV (though it is an older model)
    • Very quiet neighboord. Close to 2 subway stations.

    Cons -

    • The hotel room smelled so bad. It reeked ok must and mildew. It was the only hotel I visited on this trip in Asia that did not provide in room toiletries and complimentary water bottles.
    • There are only 2 elevators, which is not the worst problem to have. Most of the times you won’t need to wait for a long time.
    • Full cleaning should be done every day free of charge.

The rooms with kitchen and washing machine are great. There's a few small supermarkets nearby if you want to prepare meals in the comfort of the room instead of going to restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. I really liked having a separate dining table.Loved having a toaster, and it was put to good use. There was a rice cooker too, but didn't use it. I probably would for longer stays.A copy of the cleaning schedule on the door was helpful. Although, it's already great that there is daily room cleaning that at least includes clearing the bins. This makes using the kitchen much more convenient, because there can be a lot of packaging when you buy things from supermarkets.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The system for entering your details during check-in needs some adjustment. All fields could be written with the touch pen except for email, which had to be entered via an onscreen keyboard using the same touch pen, tapping one character at a time. The wifi was a bit unreliable. It would occasionally drop out, or have slow speeds.

Location was great! Easy walk to the train stations and konbinis were conveniently located at the entrance of the hotel!

Beds were too firm for our liking. Did not get a good night’s rest. Also, there were only two small elevators and we stayed on the top floor so it always took forever to get to and from our room.

I like it that it was roomy, I had 2 separate bedroom. 2 bath. Made it easy for us girl to get ready in the morning.

What I didn’t like is that the carpet look old and dirty.

Great location in Ginza at Tokyo Station area. Larger than the average, great for families 4+

No coffee makers at the reception /seating area

    8GenevievePosted on: 8-29-2025

Larger rooms for this price point compared to a lot of other locations in Tokyo. I like the dining table setup which allows room for eating, laying out your things, etc. The location was pretty central without being in a crowded area. Very near 2 subway stops and at least 3 konbinis

Housekeeping starts at 9:30 am so that's pretty early that you have to leave the room. And sometimes the cleaning is ongoing until 4+ pm, so it's a little hard to plan breaks or when to return to the hotel.

Cleaning schedule. I felt like the cleaners didn’t really clean our space well

Great location , near to Ginza, 2 min from metro station, close to grocery stores , the hotel staff help me and fine solution to a problem that i had.

Since the moment we arrived, Jojo from front desk showed my son a puzzle he could solve so he could win some prizes. She was really kind and answered also to all my questions. The room was clean, big enough to fit 2 adults and 1 kid (even fit 4 people) and has a really good position between 2 subway stations. All in all, I do recommend Mimaru Tokyo East for your stay in Tokyo. You will not regret it!

The MIMARU Tokyo Station East hotel is a very clean, modern apartment hotel near Tokyo Station East. We stayed one night at the sister location Mimaru Hachabori which had a much more spacious room. The suite at Tokyo Station was still nice-- though everything very compact. There was a twin bunk bed for our two kids and a separate room with two twin beds for us adults. Everything was very clean. We didn't end up cooking but stored some fruit and yogurt in the little kitchen. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes, plates, and utensils as well as pots and pans. I enjoyed having a tea pot for tea and coffee in the morning.

The space was a bit tight for Western standards.

Easy accessTo subway, nice two bedroom family apartment hotel

Beds very hard. No laundry in room like other Kyoto location. No water or coffee machine in lobby.

Quality / price ratio, ideal for family

To be asked for 5000 yen for an early check-in when arriving at 1:30pm (while normal check-in time was 3pm). Room was ready and available, I found it very penny-pinching and not at all customer friendly…

    8SallyPosted on: 5-1-2025

The location and staff were super friendly and helpful. Spacious for 4 adults and very clean. Bonus having a coin laundry on the 2nd floor and only Y300 which includes detergent added. A 7-11 convenience store downstairs, near the entrance which was great!About a 20 min. walk to the Tokyo Station.

    The feather pillows.

    Bad

At 11:00 AM, the staff forced the children out of the room. Then, at 11:30, they charged us 5,000 yen for a 'late checkout'No hotel would allow this!

    7VivienPosted on: 4-25-2025

The apartment was very clean, had two bedrooms (two single beds in each room), two bathrooms with two toilets and had a washer-dryer combo in it. Although the rooms were small, we just had enough space to open our suitcases in them, even though it meant walking through the room became a bit of an obstacle maze. Like other Mimaru apartments, this has a small kitchen, living area and dining area. A rice cooker, toaster oven, fridge etc are provided. 7-Eleven is literally next door and on the other side of the hotel is a pharmacy-type shop that sells toiletries, cosmetics, etc. There is also Lawson and Family Mart within a stone’s throw.

The washer-dryer crumples up the clothes really badly. First time I’ve encountered such harsh treatment of clothes in Japan. Certainly different from the other branch of Mimaru I stayed at previously. I tried a gentler cycle and the clothes didn’t dry completely. The instructions tell you how to set a standard cycle, but do not translate the different options, so it’s difficult to figure out if there’s another cycle that would have worked better. The translate app translated some of the terms, but not all. Because of the crumpled clothes, I needed to borrow the iron and ironing board from the front desk. The iron is small, cordless and not very effective for my crumpled tees. Took forever and a lot of leaning hard on the iron to iron the few items of clothes I had.
