APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Shiomi

Overall the room was clean and comfortable.

I didn't like the check-in process. I don't need them to check me in early, but I would like them to have the option to hold my luggage if I'm early so I can go about my day. Instead, I waited until 3pm and watched an enormous line-up form.

The staffs are kind & helpful. We arrived wet due to heavy rains & the staffs provided us with towels as we entered the hotel.

The common bath and indoor and outdoor hot spring we an awesome experience ! Close to Disneyland.

Eating breakfast and dinner at the restaurant the food was quite similar Would have liked to taste more of a variety

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were lovely. The hotel lobby is beautiful; the lifts are plenty and fast. There is a convenience store right outside, and the train station is a 2min walk. Nice view of the water too.

The thing that would cause us to not stay again was the heating/cooling. It is set by the hotel to either heating or cooling, but not both. You have autonomy over the temperature in terms of whatever it is set at. The hotel decided to switch to heating mid-way through our stay, as outside was 17 degrees and the room was so hot!! No circulation as the windows open max 5cm. There is nothing they can do about it other than lend you a tiny fan that does next to nothing, or tell you to 'open the windows'. Also our room in particular - the triple room, was entirely bed. Hardly anywhere to store our suitcases.

Liked everything and more. I've been to other APA so the room structure was identical, but there was much more around the hotel than I'm used to, which was great.

The Lawsons sadly entered construction during my stay. Not really a negative, just unfortunate!

A great place to stay and wide room too, very clean and friendly staff too.

The facility is much more than the other APA Hotels in town

The beds were really soft and slept amazing. The onsen was a great way to relax after a long day of traveling.

The room was really small for 3 people. The only air conditioning was set for the entirety off the hotel so if they set it to heating all rooms would be heated, this made our room incredibly hot if we turned it on. The only way to cool the room was to open the window.

It’s right in front of a train station, the area is really quiet and nice. The place was really clean

The rooms are too small for two people, there’s no place to put your luggage or hang anything.

The location is good for anyone who wants to spend time at the Disney parks, as it's only about a 10 minute train ride away while also not being too far from Tokyo station. The rooms were clean and the public bath was nice. The cost for each night is a very reasonable price.

Room service was a bit disappointing, we didn't get certain standard things and had to ask for them ourselves (for example, a bathroom mat for when you get out of the shower). The drinking glasses they provided us were never cleaned/replaced. The bathroom always had a slight bad smell even if no one had used it for hours, and the facilities seemed a little more run down compared to other APA Hotels I have stayed in.The English ability of the staff was overall very poor, only one employee that we interacted with during our entire stay knew any English at all. The rest relied on very inaccurate machine translation apps on their phones. Some of the staff members seemed bored. I expect a bit better from people who work in hospitality in one of the most tourist-heavy areas of Japan.

The bathroom toilet and shower were very good.

The room had a smokey cigarette smell from last tenant perhaps, and it lingered throughout my whole stay. In addition the room was quite small.

Good location to Disney and the subway

I didn't realize you had to pay extra for the pool so that was a pain.

Property was nearby a train station. Plenty of restaurants near by.

The first room that we were placed in smelled like cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. Staff was very understanding and moved us to a different room. Also smelled slightly like cigarettes but was less than the other room.

Breakfast was nice and clean bathroom

Room was too small and hallways were a little smelly.

Location was great for us. The Lawson's downstairs was an awesome bonus and we went there every day twice a day. Rooms were pretty big

Near Tokyo Bay area. Good breakfast at the restaurant. Very close to train station, walkable.

The window cannot open for ventilation. Pool is not open until later on. Pool is very small, cannot do laps. Small space in the room, but I guess that's normal for Tokyo hotels

Very clean and well equipped, a plus for the SPA

Not the best location (a bit far from the city, but a very quiet and well served area)

Close to the see, there's a few nice restaurants in the area, the view from the room was ok (Tennis courts). the overall vibe and hotel was nice for the price, the Onsen was nice also, sadly I didn't have time to test the pool, but it looked very cool (and empty)

The room was slightly smaller than I expected. But anyway, the room is there to sleep in, not hangout.

This hotel was very close to the train station to get to Tokyo Disney. It's as close as some Disney Property hotels. The sauna was great and I love that there was a Lawson's connected to the hotel.

The biggest issue is that you can't control the air. The air is controlled centrally but centrally it was a little on the warmer side. Not hot but the temperature needed to be cooler. The other issue was the laundry facilities. There were 2 washers and dryers for all the females at the hotel. I heard the guys had 3. It was in the sauna area. So I had to wait a significant time in line to use the washer and then the dryer. Only to run the dryer for an hour and still have damp clothes. And because the laundry is in the sauna area, it's only open when the sauna is open. So there were several people who were able to wash but not dry their clothes.
