    Pros +

    • There wasn't anything about this hotel I liked
    • Super nice, friendly, clean
    • I like the location, close to Hatagaya Station, supper markets, bakery and food places.

    Cons -

    • Location , rooms , breakfast was a joke.
    • I don' t like the Keio New Line. It is so confused to get to Hatagaya Station. We get lost almost every time we try to go back to the hotel. Maybe just only us having this problem.
    • Filthy room covered in black mold and completely unsanitary shower. Orange and black mold all over dirty show liner. See photo of what was once a white shower liner ? Made me sick all night.

bathroom had bad smell, even after cleaning.(probably a technical issue in toilet/sew)

    10DowdPosted on: 12-15-2025

The bed was a little hard, but overall a good hotel. The food in the restaurant was also good ?

Location was great. Train station and the bus stop was close.

Hotel was ok, the included breakfast was just bread and jam, so i’d skip that if i were you, and the beds were very uncomfortable. In a good location tho, so not terrible.

I love everything about the Sakura Hotel - the staff are super friendly & the location is great! The rooms are very clean and affordable. This is my 4th time to stay there when visiting Tokyo & I'll come back again. I love it! Brandon :-)

The location was great. The cafe and outdoor space was a nice touch. The Staff were really friendly and accommodating.

The Rooms were extremely small , My Room was run down and smelled of mold. The whole Property needs a refresh.

Staff were very friendly and eager to help whenever I needed something. It was close to a train station that got me everywhere I needed to go in the city and I even got food recommendations. A good majority of the staff speak English and there's no issues using Google to help you out if you want to try speaking Japanese.

This isn't the hotel's fault but Japan doesn't do breakfast early. The earliest a place opens up is at 10a or 11a for food. The included breakfast was different types of bread, tea, coffee and OJ, but was definitely expecting something else like cereal or something. All good though I literally enjoyed my time there.

    good location

There is one staff at night shift is not polite and always angry. We experienced minimal eathquake and went down and asked regarding earthquake however he shouted at me.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but I wasn't looking for fancy. I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to put my key in the wall for the AC to turn on. It was nice returning to a cool room after spending the day out in the heat.

Shower is on the small side and the elevator is slow. I was glad to be on the 2nd floor.

Great area close to a metro station that would connect to one of the main areas in Tokyo. A lot of good restaurants close to the hotel.

Is an older building but still a great value.

Very good location and friendly staff.

The room was small but much recommended for a short stay.

    9CarlaPosted on: 8-25-2025

It super close to Hatagaya station (Keio New Line) and you can be in Shinjuku station in no time too. Facilities are small but enough. It was clean. I was able to leave my luggage for a couple of hours for free, so that is a plus. There is a cafe attached to the hotel on 1F.

    6Syed Z.Posted on: 8-22-2025

It is located near Hatagaya station which was very helpful. Near the hotel, there are two good cafes where we had our breakfasts. Also a Family Mart just at the corner. Overall, it’s reasonable to sleep there as Tokyo hotels are generally expensive.

Size of the room considering we indicated that we will have 2 teenage kids was small. There was constant smell in toilet, highly recommended to install air exhaust system or provide room air freshener in the toilet.

    9RussellPosted on: 8-16-2025

The location is great. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The bigger family rooms are really big, comfortable and have all the amenities, a really good hotel if you're travelling in large groups or multiple families with kids.

    9SarahPosted on: 8-6-2025

The location of this hotel is very convenient. With many restaurants and connivence stores and a grocery store not even a 2 minute walk away it was great. The rooms are small but I was able to share it comfortably with another person.

    9RussellPosted on: 7-24-2025

The location and the bigger family rooms. Staff we very friendly and helpful

    9RussellPosted on: 7-20-2025

The location is excellent, the staff always eager to help. We even got upgraded.
