Akasaka Granbell Hotel

Breakfast was simple but tasty. And great to have while I was sick and had to saty in the hotel!

Staff was nice and welcoming.

When we first went into our hotel room there was mold on the shower curtains,In the shower, And on/surrounding the air vents in the room. We told the front desk about this and showed him pictures for proof and was so understanding about our concerns,He then upgraded our room to one of the suites free of charge.

Good location, staff were nice, and the room was large for the price

Very poorly maintained. There were brown stains on the carpet and white stains on the bedspread. Room had a bleachy smell to it, like a dank bathroom. Wall had some paper ripping up, and there were significant scuffs on much of the furniture.

Located near train and restaurant

Room was very small and they serve breakfast but its just bread and butter

The rooms really small, the hotel was dirty, there was a lot of humidity. We ask for the cancellation and the hotel charge us one of the four total nights

Location is just perfect and the staff is super nice- a big thank you to Yuriko who helped me arrange for ,y ride back to the airport. There are a lot of reasonable places to eat and very active night life mostly locals not just tourists. I loved it. Another advantage is that you can walk to the limousine airport bus stop that takes you to Narita airport. If I return I think I will still stay at this hotel. Arigato Granbell

I don’t eat a big breakfast and don’t hang around the lobby….if these two factors are important to you …this is not a good hotel for you.

Room size and staff support

Vacuuming and surface cleaning of furniture is not done. It is obvious from the marks and stains on dark surfaces and hair on carpets and dirty corners.Breakfast can be better for sure with some proper hot options.

One gets the feeling that this was a "designed" hotel some decades ago, but it has been kept well maintained and up to date and so is a perfectly nice place to stay still.Decent location, good staff, good shower. Room was small (but no smaller than everywhere else in Tokyo) but is designed well to use the space, incluing room for a table and chairs.Price was good for Tokyo at the last minute.

Poor breakfast - simply a few trays of baked goods in the lobby to take back to one's room.

Great location close to the station with local lines that can get you to all areas of Tokyo easily. Good coffee and pastries for the breakfast. Great supply of bottled water and lovely tea for an afternoon pick me up.

Felt unsafe had 2x occasions of drunk people and or strangers walking into the lobby and one person knocking on doors upstairs loudly at night. Double room is small for two people even by Tokyo standards. Rooms are tired.

Really solid affordable hotel. It is easy to get everywhere from the location and plenty to eat around the hotel. The room was a decent size for a family with one small child, the room had a full king size bed. Staff were helpful with everything and helped send my luggage to my next hotel. Breakfast was good enough.

The staff were very kind, lobby and room were clean, the property provided free water. Also next to the train station and convenience stores.

I thought we could handle a smoking room but it gave us headaches. The room was also very dark and there was no outlet in the bathroom, so I had to blow dry my hair by the tv area or bed which was very inconvenient.

Inconsistent WiFi, even after staff tried their best to help with new router.Stairs were creaky and a little wobbly, which made me nervous.

Close to metro, friendly staff, included breakfast.

Rooms were a bit small

The location and area around hotel, a mini version of Shibuya without the crowds. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Plus very close to two metro stations Great shower, room is small but fine for one person, it is still very cost effective to have a room each of you in this great location.Breakfast is basic but it was more than a enough to start the day

Beautiful room, clean, comfy huge bed, perfect location, super friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the complimentary packs of bath salts, the foot massager in the room and the daily free water bottles.

The lighting in the bathroom was very dark and one bulb was not working, and there were no plugs next to the bed.

The rooms were very dated, you could see the wall paper peeling. The shower heads needed to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned from depositsOne of my friends rooms smelled moldyI didn't even want to take photos of my room to show family

Very friendly and supportive staff. We had to extend our stay for one day due to flight cancelation. It was no problem. Very good place for exploring Tokyo by subway. Many restaurants nearby

Moisture firms on the ceiling of the room when the air conditioning is running continuously. There is no separate room available for breakfast

We jad a corner room and had a great view of the street bekow. Also liked free water all the time

In the middle of the hotel is open to to the sky. Neat concept, but made the hallways damp-feeling.
