Pros +
- Services like hot springs and late night noodles. Location is also great, close to station and relatively local with not many people.
- The Onsen was absolutely beautiful, and there were a number of things that went above and beyond expectations. The first was the onsen - it's really beautiful. And there are a number of little extras that you just don't expect. I don't want to ruin these surprises for others but make sure you read the posters in the elevators. Whilst there is no kitchen for guests there is a microwave that you can use to heat food - this is very common in Japan. There is a supermarket that has plenty of fruit and veg and good convenience meals 150 m away. We were there on Sat Sun and Mon. It was so quiet. Some areas of Tokyo are so overwhelming and I'm so glad that we stayed in Hatchobori. It has great train access and the old fish markets and Ginza are walkable. Laundry facilities are excellent. The staff were extremely accommodating with our monstrous amount of ski luggage that we shipped via Black Cat from Hakuba to Tokyo while we were in Kyoto and Nagoya. We had some complications with the bookings of our rooms and my not understanding the different styles when booking.
- Breakfast, public bath, ice cream after bath, late night ramen, friendly staff, proximity to train station (line that goes directly to Disney as well as connects to other lines easily).
Cons -
- The room is tiny. It has space to spread one suitcase only, then you have to tiptoe around it.
- Not a negative but a flag for expectations: The double rooms are cramped for Westerners - it's very common not to have storage space for clothes and luggage in Japanese hotels, so travel as light as possible. The Queen rooms are considerably more spacious and easier to be in, but are still small by Western standards. We'd sent our ski gear off with Black Cat and just travelled with our carry-on luggage. The hotel has on open to the air roof over the middle (this will make sense when you see it). It was really cold when we were there, so this means that you may get cold between your beautiful warm room and the elevator on the upper floors. Our original room on the 5th floor was fine.
- The room was dark and uninviting after a long day of exploring or being at Disney, bed was too firm and pillow was very uncomfortable.

Nice hotel, I had cheapest possible small room, so cannot say about better ones. Hotel has onsens and sauna, very good relax after the day of visiting. I didn't order breakfast, so cannot say much about it. Room was very clean.
They have free coffee, but after 3 pm only.. I would love free coffee in the morning , at least maybe coffee bag in my room?
My family love Onsen and Japanese breakfast, it very well spent for vacation. We loved the hydration station that provided a lot of choice for drink, ice cream during the day and night time served ramen that included with price you already paid.
NA
We LOVED the Onsen. The facilities were so nice and clean. The free ice cream, yogurt drinks, and nightly ramen was delicious.
It was more expensive and the room was the smallest we stayed in on our trip. It is very dated and needs a good remodel.
I love the women’s side of the onsen. It was beautiful and clean. There were two locations to wash clothes which was very convenient. It was located on the river which on the 12 floor we were able to kinda see from the window.
The room was laid out in way that made it hard to find a spot for opening a suitcase. There’s no luggage rack. Instead of having a small table and two stools at the end of the bed, a small bench would have been perfect as it could double as a spot for the suitcase. The station entrance is not far about 10 minutes away. If you are sight seeing it could be a negative. I’ve stayed at almost every Dormy in Tokyo. This is by far the quietest one. There was almost no street noise. That was a HUGE PLUS for us but that also means you’re more far removed from tourist things.
Pretty close to hatchobori station and a 20ish minute walk to tokyo station. Located on a riverside so nice view from the room and the dining room. I couldn't use the spa because I have tattoos but my husband said that the men's area is clean and nicely equipped. The night ramen is always a nice touch. The room was cleaned daily and with great care (on day 2 they saw that we both need the large sized pj's so they brought an extra one without us having to ask for it) and we received bottled water daily.
It's neat picky but the breakfast was a bit dull and repetitive. We've stayed at numerous dormy inn locations and the breakfasts are usually wonderful and plentiful so it was a bit disappointing. Also the room is a bit small but not very different fron other japanese hotels.
It was great that we had access to the onsen all day. It was very clean and comfortable to use. Complimentary ramen was a nice touch. Breakfast was of amazing quality.
Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were not comfortable but they accomodated us with new ones.
Great Japanese style bathing Free ramen, ice cream and lounge facilities
It was hot in the room and I could only open the window after borrowing special handles at reception. This was dealt with swiftly though so it was fine.
Room was smaller than expected but loved having the hot springs as part of the accommodation and the free ramen each night was unexpected.
The hot spring is nice and relaxing after a long day city walk. The evening ramen is convenient and tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stored our luggage there before we went to the airport.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The Onsen was beautiful with inside and outdoor tubs and had a sauna. We unfortunately missed the free ramen however breakfast was good.
Check in too a little longer than expected, they had us self check in on a computer but was unable to register the passports.
Close to Tokyo Station, Ginza-Yurakucho and Tsukiji. I have coffee in my room so don't take breakfast at the hotel. The center shaft of the hotel is open to the elements. Can be a bit cool in winter.
A bit of a restaurant desert on weekends in the immediate area. Recommend Kayabachō Sta. (which has elevators) as opposed to Hatchōbori Sta. (which has a LOT of stairs) for subway travel to the hotel.
Breakfast, luggage delivered to room.
Extra fee to check in early. Smaller room and bed, a bit worn and more expensive than similar hotels in Osaka/Kyoto.
The onsite hot spring was very nice, not big but relaxing and had all the amenities we needed. The water was very soothing on a cold winter day.
The rooms were very tiny. It wasn't communicated to us the hours of breakfast and we ended up rushing at the very end. It would have been helpful for frontline staff to inform us the hours when we paid for the breakfast onsite.
The hotel was underwhelming for the price. The onsen and soba noodles at night were really nice. The view from our window on January 1 was amazing.
Our rooms and the atrium area was cold and lifeless. Cement, grey, and fencing.
Very convenient location. Breakfast was very good. The hotel onsen is great.
As is the case with most hotels in Tokyo, the rooms are very small.
Nice onsenFree half ramen every night
Only the nearby Hibiya line does not have a lift to the platform
The breakfast spread was delicious, and the free ramen was delightful also.Onsen was great.
The dust blanket under the bed.
