- All the employees of the hotel were very nice and kind. The hotel is in great location, very close to several subway stations. Room was clean and they were providing clean towels daily.
Cons -
- One of the staff lady (she’s middle age) is not friendly
- Very minor issues, but most of the food in the area is Korean, so might need to travel out a bit further if you want alternatives. Though this is in Koreatown, so to be expected.
- There was plenty of room for a closet which wasn't there. Secondly, I would have loved to have some coffee pouches and more tea pouches

Great value for money considering the convenient location near Shin Okubo Station on the Yamanote Line, just 1 stop from Shinjuku (or can walk to Shinjuku in about 20 min or so). Many Korean restaurants and bars nearby, as well as convenience stores. Quadruple room was comfortable, and bigger than I expected, which was a nice surprise.

Cleanliness was immaculate. Staff was what was expected of Japanese people.- courtesy at its best. The location was fantastic close to the subway and walkable to Shinjuku the hub. Room was big in terms of Tokyo hotel rooms

The location is great! Just 6 min walk with no uphill to Shin-Okubo station, which is a great line to go almost everywhere and surrounded by plenty of restaurants (mostly Korean). The room was spacious enough, with separate bathroom, toilet and washing sink. We have quite space for luggage. The lovely staffs helped with luggage storage and travel advices.Thank you very much!
We were only there for sleep and bath so nothing to dislike. Another rack/hook to hang towels would be a bonus though.
First, I would like to mention that the staff are always polite and friendly. There was a language barrier but they have a very welcoming attitude and were always available at any time of day or night to help. For a hotel in Tokyo, the room was very clean and spacious. I'm picky about cleanliness but I never had any concerns. The bed was a bit firm, but that's pretty common in Japan. I visited during winter and it was nice that the room warmed up quickly. If you're ever feeling too warm, it was easy to just open the window a bit. The shower was excellent. It was nice having a bath too! The room has a bidet with a heated seat as well. While the hotel doesn’t offer many amenities, this wasn’t a problem for me since I was mostly there to sleep and shower. There is an elevator for convenience (especially with luggage), and the complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. You can also hang a sign on the door to let staff know whether you'd like them to clean your room or not, which I thought was a thoughtful feature.Location is another highlight. The hotel is ideally situated—just a 10-minute walk to Shinjuku’s nightlife, so you’re close to all the bars and restaurants but not so close that it’s noisy. It's also located in Shin-Okubo, a vibrant Koreatown area, which was great for exploring local shops and food spots. I felt very safe walking around, even late at night. The hotel is also convenient to nearby stations, convenience stores, Don Quijote, and other attractions.Overall, this is an affordable, no-frills hotel that offers everything you need and nothing more. If you’re looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a great location without extra frills, I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.
There are a few things that potential guests might want to know before booking. These didn't bother me personally, but I think it's worth mentioning.First off, the hotel is older, however, it's very well-kept and clean, so if you’re okay with an older building, it’s not a deal-breaker.Another thing is the lack of amenities. The hotel is pretty basic. There's not much else to do within the hotel itself. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep, it’s perfectly fine. Finally, you have to return the room key each time you leave. It's not a bad thing and I understand it’s to prevent losing the key, but that might potentially become an issue if you and whoever you travelled with split up and return at different times, etc.Overall, this hotel is a solid choice if you want a clean, no-frills place to sleep. The location is fantastic, but keep in mind that it's an older building with limited amenities and a quirky room key system.
it's located in a central position, 10 min walking from Shibuya train station or Ōkubo station.Although the hotel is a little dated, it is very well kept and, above all, clean. The staff was very nice, friendly and professional
While the hotel isn’t luxurious, it is clean and quiet, thanks to its narrow street with minimal traffic. The staff is very friendly. We had one large suitcase and two day backpacks, and the room was spacious enough for our needs. The bathroom was spotless. The location is great, with vibrant nightlife nearby, and we experienced no noise or disturbances from other guests, allowing us to rest well. Having a toaster and microwave in the common area was a nice bonus.
Just a bit old
Great location, close to Shinjuku and Shin-Ōkuba stations. The street is quiet at night. Very polite staff, the room was neat and spacious (at least for Tokyo). Would recommend.
Maybe a small clothes dryer for hanging would be great to have in the room.
Great location in Shinjuku, clean and quiet. Typical business hotel, no frills but good value. Air conditioned with private bathroom.
Bathroom does not have any counter space and no air conditioning so can be very hot in the summer when taking a shower
Well located and very friendly. Located in Korea Town and not far from the Shin Obuko train Station and express bus to the Narita and Hanida airports. Staff was very kind and helpful. Close to a Don Quijote shopping store. Room and bathroom was good size.
Nothing was terrible. It would be nice to have an option for breakfast but it is a no-nonsense hotel. All in all nothing was wrong!
A well located no-nonsense hotel. Not far from train station Shin-Obuku, express bus to Narita and Haneda airports, shopping and restaurants. This hotel is located in Korean Town of Tokyo with lots of Korean restaurants, K-pop bars and shops. Staff was very helpful and kind which we very much appreciated!Rooms and bathrooms were of good size relative to what you find in most hotels in Japan (even the more expensive ones). Clean and simple facilities that offered a simply furnished lobby (couch), lobby toilet, and microwaves. Quality of clientele was good that made hotel atmosphere safe and quiet.
Nothing really. It would have been nice to have an option for breakfast. I was surprised though with the price as I thought booking.com quoted a different and cheaper price, so my advice is double check. But that was not really the hotel's fault.
- the owner was helpful with every question we had :-) - perfectly located in a quiet side street - just 5 minutes walk to the next subway
Location
Hard beds & hallways smelled awful.
Loved location, just 10min walk from main Shinjuku area and the most value for money option we could find. Also super spacious relative to other Tokyo accom. Bath was biggest we’d seen in all of our Japan lodgings. We also had an option for late checkout which was hugely appreciated.
Leaving key at hotel while out was an unusual policy, so we had to carry our valuables which we normally would just keep in a safe. Also, not a big deal, but lodging was opposite what seemed to be a cemetery which was not ideal!
Cleaning.Location nearby shin-okubo station and 15 minutes walking to shinjuku station
Small space.Dont have free water
Great location, staff were helpful and was able to leave bags there while we looked around.
Great location. Easy to subway.
HOOKS! There wasn’t towel hooks outside the shower! Has room but none can be found. Need towel hooks next to sinks too. Bonus would be stools for under sink as counter so low-would be nice to sit for makeup.
The staff was incredibly helpful! And the room size was large for Tokyo. Great shower/tub room.
The cold came right through the glass window, which did have a large crack.
