Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-Minamiguchi

The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The location is not too far from the train station and restaurants.

This was our first trip to Japan so adjusting to a smaller room was necessary. Other than that it had all we needed and it was a great experience.

Liked the washer/dryer in room. Bed was comfortable and AC worked well. Self checkout was easy. Location good. Family Mart downstairs is nice. Would recommend only if wanting convenience of washer/dryer in room.

Room a little dingy and shower had mold. AC remote holder fell off the wall as soon as we grabbed it to turn on the AC.

Staff was so nice, the room was small but great. Big bathroom and lots of amenities :)

Room and bathroom were small in size. Cleaning for the room was not provided during the whole stay, only garbage pickup was available and it had to be requested.

Nice clean hotel in a convenient location. The air conditioning was perfect and beds comfy. I think the room was larger than most in Japan. Close to restaurants and there was a family mart right beside it for drinks and snacks.

Staff were helpful and checking in & out was efficient.

Property is a great location for access to shibuya within a short-ish walking distance. There is a convenience store next door and a super market in a short walking distance. Shibuya Station is a bit difficult to navigate if you’re not entering and exiting the JR line. The JR shin-minami-guchi (new south) entrance is tucked in by restaurants and is not very noticeable. I walked by several times before exiting through the station exit that I had realized that I’d been walking past it regularly. The construction at the station and the people flow can be a little confusing at first. I recommend searching the area a little more carefully to avoid getting turned around a time or two.

The location is a short walk from Shibuya station. Lots of restaurants and stores are close. It is an ok value.

The rooms are really small even for Japan. I ended up booking the annex which is around the corner from the main hotel. There are no laundry on site.

The room was great. It was in the annex building which is slightly older style than the main property but still very comfortable. We loved that each room came with a combo washer/dryer. For that reason, we would definitely recommend this hotel for longer stays in Tokyo. Location was also fantastic. Quick 5 min walk to the train but on a quiet street.

The amenities in the annex are slightly less appealing than the main property, but still great.

Rooms in the main building are beautiful and very clean. We loved that there was a washer dryer in the room and thought the size of the room was actually pretty big compared to other rooms in Tokyo.

The location was near Shibuya station and the hotel staff kept our suitcases the day we checked out so that we could enjoy our day before the departure. The room was nice with a big TV, fridge, microwave and laundry.

The bathroom wasn’t the nicest, the bath tub wasn’t caulked around the edges so water was getting behind the tub (between the walls and the tub) causing mildew.

The room size was great for Tokyo and a washer and dryer in the room

It is a bit on the expensive side but worth it for the amenities

Loved that the property was right by a family mart. I also really liked how close it was to Shibuya but it was still an 8-10 min walk from Shibuya crossing. I loved the amenities offered. They had thought about every little thing we might need. The staff was also very helpful. Cloud helped us at check in and was super nice. We also got help with luggage transfer

There was dust and hair behind the toilet seat which made it feel less clean. However overall the space was pretty neat and tidy.

Stayed in the Annex, which was not too far from the main hotel. I think I now prefer this building as there is no front desk and it's faster to get to your room. The room is larger than most tokyo hotels.....fitting a cafe table/chairs is not common at all, and there is a medium size fridge and microwave. The room was clean, but it didn't seem like the hall carpets get cleaned/vacuumed much...however the room itself seemed clean. Location is perfect....far enough from the noise yet close enough to the busy Shibuya station. Perfectly close to Shibuya Stream shopping center which has cafes, restaurants, great food shops to grab onigiri, and only a couple floors up to the Yamanote line. Staying in the Annex, I heard no subway noise. It was a quiet and comfortable sleep.

One of the guests left their bathroom door open during a shower, after midnight, and the fire alarm went off. All in Japanese.....loud shrieking and instructions in japanese.....seemed to go on for 15 min. Firetrucks were deployed, everyone had to evacuate. This was our last night, which made for a long day since our airline departed at 8pm.Surprising to me, upon checkout.....not one apology from the hotel. No compensation (like a coffee shop coupon for the cafe below?) Nothing. I know it was not their fault, but I did expect some type of extra comfort for the guests that were put out. They were still very nice, but for the last day, it kind of ruined our final hours in tokyo being so sleepy.

Location was great - about 8 minute walk from Shibuya station (access to JR lines and other subway lines too). We were hoping for somewhere slightly outside of the busy zones while still being close to the train station, so this was quite perfect. If you are looking to find somewhere right in the shopping district, this is not for you. We loved being able to do our laundry in the room (someone recommended small loads - which is great advice!) and the Family Mart located a minute walk from the hotel too. Like most hotels do, we were allowed to leave our luggage with the hotel post check-out. Staff were kind and respectful. We enjoyed our stay!

Like most people have mentioned, the room size is small - but is considered normal in Tokyo standards, so we weren't disappointed. I trust the room was clean but it didn't feel as clean as the other hotels we stayed at, i.e. the duvet cover was very slightly stained, bathroom was clean but just not perfect (I'm being picky) with tiny hairs still left behind and saw some mould too. No major turn-offs - we did enjoy our stay overall.

It was clean, comfortable and on a quiet street close to Shibuya Station. My room had a washer/dryer in it, which was great! Lots of restaurants and a Family Mart nearby. Overall, a very good choice

No daily room cleaning for longer stay, limited to cleaning once per week which is far from enough.

Location is good, in room laundry was VERY nice. The wash/dry cycle was a bit long but it an issue. Was very nice to be able to run a load before heading out for the day then just forgetting about it.

Restroom was clean but some areas around the bath tub looked dirty or moldy. This might be a user error on my part, but the showerhead would not stay straight because of the tubing, meaning the showerhead is facing slightly to the side instead of directly at me.

Washer/dryer and location of hotel were both great!

Cleanliness of physical room was lacking-- I had cleaned some of the walls/floor upon arrival.

Close to everything, Konbini and cafes right next to it, staff were helpful. Secure.
