    Pros +

    • It had enough space for one person.
    • Staff was very nice and helpful, it’s easy to find and good price for it’s value. I told the property beforehand about my allergies and I think they did try to clean the room as much as possible (the AC was a bit dusty which was harsh for me but I understand not cleaning it as frequently). Overall good condition
    • Book if you just want somewhere to sleep

    Cons -

    • The mattress was not very comfortable, and another pillow could have been included with the room.
    • A bit far from the city
    • Not worth even the cheaper price. Room is very unplanned, kitchenette is just an electric stove stuffed in a closed and nowhere to use it in the room.

    Clean, quiet, big and cheap

Far from central tokyoVery farEspecially if you don’t want to pay the tobu line

    7masonPosted on: 5-12-2025

It’s cheap. Literally half the price of almost anything in Tokyo. Just have to travel like 40-45 mins to reach Shibuya.

It’s… well it’s old. It provided the essentials

Staff are all accommodating even tho we arrived late at night, it is our 2nd time to this hotel. ♥️We always request to make the bed connected to each other. I hope they improve on giving more chairs per room for family, even if it is foldable is very helpful. Overall, a good place, near to the station.

All rooms are smoking rooms, they give sprays and clean the room, but the last time the cigarette smoke smell is too strong, they give us more spray.

It is a nice budget friendly place, close to the station & some shops. You literally get what you pay for in terms of accommodation. The hotel staff is really kind, they do everything what they can to help you in their working hours. There is a washing area where you need to use 100 yen coins, so make sure you have some on you.The garbage is your responsibility to dispose of which is on the same floor as reception & laundry. There is only 2 type of disposing, which are burneble & non burnable. There will be some pictures & explanations which go where. My room was spacious with good sized beds & an extra kitchen area. Mind you these facilities are really old. But you can find a mini fridge, rice cooker, kettle & microwave in it. It is literally for a quick stay for your trip & not an enjoy your relaxation type. The internet is fast & reliable tho, area was quiet during night.

This is not the hotel's fault BUT a warning for people who plan to stay there. There is a middle-aged lady walking around the street who is talking about religion. She seems kind & friendly at first, but soon she becomes really persistent. Her pitch is Fuji-san & Buddha. She is extremely religious & pushes it on you to believe in the strongest higher power. We kept being polite & said we might do pray, but she literally wanted to drag us to the place. Go pray now. She didn't take no for an answer, giving us papers in japanese. We had to be a bit rude to her to let us go. It was super uncomfortable. On the way back at night, we ran into her again & she started the same thing. Let's go pray now. She didn't want to take no for an answer & kept going on and on. I just kept saying gommenasai, daijobu des & walked away.Next night we saw her in front of the hotel door & caught another tourist. The reception was closed by this time. I saw another person running from the other side, into the hotel, which gave me the implication, this person also fallen victim of this lady & her mates. She literally asks if we stay in the hotel!!! She targets people there. You need to be super firm & walk away, don't let her keep talking. No matter how bad you feel! Don't go with her, it is not safe! ( apparently, on reddit, there is a post from 7 years ago where the same lady is mentioned with the same paper. She doesn't do anything unlawful, no touching, so I assume nothing can be done, but it is unsafe for a foreigner & the lady is a nuisance)

Property was decent for an affordable price and had everything we needed

Bathroom is small. Didn’t have extra pillows. Building looks quite old and worn out

    5AnitaPosted on: 4-24-2025

Very near a station, making it easy to get to places I needed to be. It had a kettle and a microwave, even a hotplate with a space to use it. There was a wardrobe that is not often found in a lot of Japanese hotel rooms.

The budling was obviously very old and unkempt. I found the sink being outside of the bathroom a little odd as well. The room - while it had everything I needed - was not clean. I know the price was not bad, but I stayed in Tokyo for the same price in a much nicer room.

Suitable for family especially with kids. Quite big compare to other hotel.

Far from city center but manageable since train is very near and if you want to explore.

    5HildaPosted on: 4-21-2025

I love walking around the property's neighborhood, it's near the train station, and there's a convenience store, a drugstore, and a supermarket.

The toilet is not clean, especially the toilet bowl; it's dirty. I think they don't have time to brush it.

    8FelipePosted on: 4-12-2025

Overall it was a good place to stay. The laundry helped quite a bit. It is very close to 7eleven which was our nightly stop.

The Tokyo subway is about 1.2km walk from the hotel. Which is not a crazy walk but something to keep in mind. It would be nice to get more towels as the ones provided tend to get a bad smell.

Hotel is old, but we'll designed for stay, providing utensils, laundry, micro etc. Only pain was not given room in higher floors though booked 2 months back. Missed view and good ventilation. Close to Tokiwadai tobo lane railway, though far from narita airport, after 6 pm no reception , room service missing , faced english language problem of hotel staff , helpful though. Nice neighborhood, but missed Indian restaurant near by.

Very nice location. I like the neighborhood. Easy access to train stations. Most affordable for a comfy room.

    the facilities are quite old.

I always stay at this aparthotel. I appreciate not being interrupted for room service, the facilities are great, and the location has easy access to the city from two train stations while being a quiet area. The WiFi is really good, around 25-30 download. The bathroom is excellent, with a bidet toilet and powerful shower. The room contains a rice cooker, microwave, knife, chopping board, and lots of crockery. There are guides for how to use the aircon units. The area is quiet. There are vending machines, laundry, and a bin area. The local area has excellent food and very kind people.

The room chairs are a little uncomfortable for long periods and relaxation , since they're dining chairs. The aircon squeaked. The sink within the toilet cistern did not function.

Very close to Tokiwadai station, pretty good facilities and staff was nice

    8SymeonPosted on: 3-1-2025

Working microwave and stovetop in the room. Room layout leaves space to keep luggage

Two pillows for the bed would be nice. Difficult to reach the sink

That I had a place to stay that was close to the Tokiwadai train station, and when I left my room key in Osaka, they were able to replace it quickly. The box of tissues came in very handy for the runny nose I had throughout the trip. The laundry room facilities were good, although if you had expected to bag up your laundry and pay staff to facilitate this, you're out of luck as you need to babysit your washing yourself or spend time worrying that your belongings would be stolen.

The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked when you moved on it, with a single pillow that was folded up and flattened when resting your head, resulting in many nights of disturbed sleep rearranging the pillow to be remotely supportive.. The room was incredibly small, with my suitcase filling the room walkways.A whole heap of hidden charges were not stated on the website when booking, such as: if you wanted the room cleaned during your stay, you had to pay extra. If you needed new towels, you had to pay extra. If you wanted your bedsheets changed after a few days, you had to pay extra. If you needed more toilet paper, you had to pay extra. You also needed to sort your trash into burnables and non-burnables and take it down to the trash area yourself, which takes an unnecessary amount of time out of the trip. If I wanted to do all of these things myself and pay extra for them, I'd have stayed in an apartment somewhere else that was entirely self-catering. From this location, to go anywhere in Tokyo takes over an hour with multiple changes and is not a central location to any part of Tokyo. For anyone looking to travel to Tokyo, I'd suggest staying in Ikebukuro instead; it's got much better connections to all parts of Tokyo and cuts out over 30 minutes of travel time to the day. Especially when the train services stop at around 10:30pm so you can't enjoy any of the nightlife properly and guarentee yourself getting back to Tokiwadai safely.I also checked out a full day early, to guarentee getting to the airport on time, as booking a taxi was incredibly complicated with understanding what your case equated to in the cars baggage allowances. However, I would have loved to have checked out as soon as I arrived if I had the financial allowance to have done so.

In general, value for the money. Front desk staff was very helpful.

The train to city near the inn was a private line and not covered by the daily pass.
