    Pros +

    • The staff were very helpful and polite, especially toward international guests. The hotel is within walking distance from Ekoda Station, and along the way there are plenty of conveniences—four convenience stores, Bookoff, and many dining options ranging from McDonald’s to Yoshinoya. I personally liked the area because it’s lively without being overcrowded. Restaurants are easy to get into without long waiting times. The hotel exterior looks nice, simple, and welcoming. The room size is standard for a typical Japanese hotel and very comfortable for solo travelers. I chose a non-smoking room, and there were no unpleasant smells at all. The room facilities are easy to use, with separate remotes for the TV, air conditioner, and lights. The TV offers many local channels, including anime channels. The hotel also provides charging cables with different connectors to suit various devices. The room heater works very well, and the blanket keeps you warm even in cold weather. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay—I slept comfortably every night and would happily stay here again.
    • I loved having the lobby at street level and no place where I had to use stairs. This is the 2nd time I've been to Japan disabled and this hotel made everything easier. The Lawson next door is a huge plus also.
    • Stayed at this hotel a couple of times. It's great value for a hotel being so close to central Tokyo. Only a few train stops from Ikebukuro as well.

    Cons -

    • Getting to major tourist attractions in Tokyo takes quite a bit of time, as Ekoda Station is on the Seibu Line, which is a local train line. You usually need to travel via Ikebukuro. That said, if you enjoy a more local experience, this area offers a different vibe from central Tokyo—people are generally friendlier and more relaxed. Some of the built-in furniture in the room, such as the closet, shows signs of wear, with a few areas where the wood panels are starting to come loose. The room is also not very soundproof; you can hear noise from neighboring rooms, such as people lying down or opening the bathroom door. However, this didn’t affect my sleep much. The toilet is an electronic bidet type, but the water spray wasn’t working. I didn’t inform the staff because it didn’t bother me enough to spend time on it. I also think the bed and pillows could be a bit softer. Overall, I feel the hotel offers good value for the experience provided.
    • Being short on change to do laundry. I ended up needing to make purchases to get change.
    • A bit of a walk from the station which was a bit hard to find on my first stay.

Everything was great, the size of the room was perfect for me

The bathrooms are a tad outdated and there was a bit of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom

    1MPosted on: 11-25-2025

Smelled terrible and old and run down

    7AngiePosted on: 11-23-2025

It’s really close to train station and it’s east to move around.

Even for the amount would be nice that is would be a little more cleaner, the bathroom specially

I was in this Hotel last year which is why i went back, nothing much changed. It's a Buisnesshotel nothing more nothing less. The Rooms are small but big enough for me. Price was okay and Staff is Friendly. There a few good Resturants around the Hotel Area.

The biggest Problem of this Hotel is pretty Simple, the Location. You need about 30 to 40 min into the Core of the City, Akihabara, etc. If i would have booked earlier i would have gotten about the same in a different hotel in the middle of the city.

    8masonPosted on: 11-14-2025

Has everything you would need to stay there. Kinda tucked off In a nice pocket away from the busy city.

TV is kinda small. And I need another pillow. At least two pillows in the room guys come on

Double bed so small, 2 people can't properly sleep. We stayed 7 nights, and still, they didn't make the room once. They didn't change the towels even once telling us we had to pay extra for new towels. There is no sink in the tiny bathroom, so you're end up using a small one in the room destined to kitchen use (washing dishes products and sponge around).

Complete amenities for a reasonable price. And checkout is 11AM.

Small room but its Tokyo so its normal. Hotel Parking is a bit far, and you need to reserve the parkng in adavance.

Quit good place near convenience stores and a station not so far away. Good coffee shops are available too especially must have & duno

If you by any how forgot the key inside the room at night you might have a (look)

    10ChanawutPosted on: 4-27-2025

comfortable for solo travelers, 10mins walk to subway station. 5mins walk to another train line.

Location a bit walk for subway station but you use another train line, it is only 5mins walk.

    10EricPosted on: 4-13-2025

The staff was friendly, the room was a good size, and the train station wasn't far away! There are tons of things to do in the area and a lot of conbini's around. I'll stay again when I come in November!

    10MitsukoPosted on: 4-6-2025

The neighborhood and the courteous staff. The convenience store is located next-door and for those of us who are budget conscious was an added bonus.

Finding the hotel was a challenge, and the map I printed prior to leaving the US helped me a little. The ac was unpredictable at times.

Cooking facilities Good choice of shops

    No view of outside.

Lovely little place. Staff were excellent as I had mistakenly booked a smoking room. As such the room had a bit of a stale smell from the previous user. I asked just incase if I could move and before I knew it a room had been prepared for me. The staff apologised greatly even though it was my mistake and were very kind and helpful throughout my stay.

    9MichellePosted on: 3-31-2025

Location is in a quiet residential area. The bed is super fluffy and cozy. Conveniently located near several konbinis. Laundry and common room were clean.

At 2000 yen per hour, the late check-out fee was extremely expensive. The room light remote was finnicky sometimes. The bathroom looks outdated. It's a bit of a walk and distance from downtown Tokyo. The staff member who checked me in at night seemed grumpy.

    8CaseyPosted on: 3-21-2025

Good value for money, private bathroom, bedsheets, how friendly the morning/afternoon staff were. The lobby area was a nice little place to watch the world go by as you as snacks. It was safe and clean.Very close to Lawsons and Family Mart

The sink leaked when turning on hot water. The bathroom was very outdated. A tad far from anything in the main Tokyo area (at least 30min by train) The night shift worker wasn't very kind.

    9KylePosted on: 3-10-2025

While the room wasn't the biggest and wasn't spotless (seems to be the Japanese standard for clean), it was absolutely amazing for the price. The price for me was in the ballpark of hostels/capsule hotel prices but you get your own private room and bathroom! Was ideal for a solo traveler and I would definitely book it again.Additionally, the hotel location exceeded my standards by a lot. I had expected to eat most of my meals in Ikebukuro, but by the end of the day, I was often tired and wanted a meal near the hotel. There were so many options! I could spend another week here and still not run out of places to try. The area was also quiet and had a konbini next door. Amazing!

The bathroom/shower were indeed quite small but no problem.

    10MelindaPosted on: 3-5-2025

Was walking distance to Ekoda station, lots of food options in the area and a quick train ride to Ikebukuro. Staff spoke really good english. Was very happy with my stay there.
