Apa Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku-Ekimae

Location. Helpful staff during check-in.

Room size. Early checkout time. No spa. One elevator

In a good location. And I got what I expected based on other reviews. Only around a 10 min walk from golden gai and other night life activities.

As other reviews have said, the room is small. So expect only having extra room for your luggage.

Location excellent, staff speak English, well equipped room everything you need, secure.

The room wasn't that clean, dirty coffee cups, old coffee bags left, bathroom wasn't that clean, toliet was that clean. Busy time of year maybe?

Located in a great spot in Shinjuku. Very close to a lot of restaurants and activities, but just outside all the busines

It was very clean, air quality was good. We canceled an airbnb the day prior because the airbnb had mold. This hotel was cheaper than that airbnb and had better quality. Even though it was on the small side, that did not matter to us and we love our stay there. I am very confident to stay at APA hotels again in the future.

The room is clean and a little larger than other rooms in Tokyo. Train station just in front of the hotel very convenient.

There was nothing not to like!

The location is alright, Higashi-Shinjuku train station is right by the hotel, Shinjuku station is also fairly close.

We had a big cockroach in the room. Also it sucks that the hotel only has one elevator. Sometimes it took a while to get down and up. Very small rooms. Breakfast meh

I personally liked the fact that the cleanliness was excellent. the staff provided us with new towels at our door the second night and the room itself although a little on the smaller end was nice and tidy. Also helped that it is very close to a train station and about a 20 min walk from shinjuku if you would like to take a night out

The room was just a little smaller than expected but that isn't to say that it was cramped and not enough room for all your luggage that one might be would fit. But I cant say I'm surprised accounting for the fact that it is in Tokyo.

Location and clean. Bed is comfortable as well.

Only one elevator and no hot tub or Onsen . Other APA locations have at least two elevators and hot tub and is cheaper.

Room was decent for a single person at the price charged per night.

Oddly the tub in the bathroom had a lip on it that if you happen to spray water on, it would send the water onto the bathroom floor in a puddle. Which made a mess and I always had to make sure to not turn the shower head in that direction to avoid spilling water on the floor. My friend staying in another room also noticed the same thing happened to him in his bathroom.

Clean, good location, great amenities.

Laundry machines were limited and dryers didn't work well.

I like how it was right in Shinjuku, Shibuya and very easy to locate and wasn’t a problem to navigate. I love the amenities that is provided to you. A lot of convenience stores, restaurants and right near the subway station

It was a little small but it didn’t affect me to much as it was Japan and was expected

Great location. Close to the metro. Coffee shop across the street. Staff were extremely helpful. On the quieter side of Shinjuku which was great. Sadly the pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Other than that, it was great!

Clean and good location. Very close to the metro entrance if you want to travel to a different part of town as well.

Only 1 elevator for a pretty large building and unable to use stairs as they are emergency only.

I’ve stayed in several Apa hotels. This one wasn’t the best. This hotel had just the bare necessities to get by however, the selection of amenities in the room was a good variety. Breakfast in this specific hotel was appalling. From previous experience, there has been a large selection to choose from but they didn’t even have bread or water here. Even after getting there earlier the second morning, i was still disappointed to see that the hot food (chicken nuggets and sausages) were still cold.

With only one elevator sometimes the wait times are long. The location was really good, 50m from a metro station, within easy walking distance of Golden Gai and Shinjuku night-life.

Location

The size of the room was absurdly small for two persons. Even for one person it would be small but for two, it was untenable. There was no space to set a cabin bag and to leave the bed, one person needs to climb over the other person as, lengthwise, the bed goes wall to wall.
