APA Hotel Akihabara-Ekihigashi

Great location. Easy to get to from Akihabara station. Close walk to check out all the shops around Akihabara. With it being about 5 min walk to the nearest station, you can get to other places around Tokyo using g the trains.

Excellent location. Close to several subway lines. Walkable neighborhood with many restaurants, cafes, and shops. The hotel and room were clean and in perfect condition. Nice room with all the personal-care items, including bathrobes and slippers.

The room was small, but normal for a small hotel in Tokyo.

Close to Akihabara Station. Convenient to walk around. Great food spots nearby.

Pillows were a bit tough. But, you get used to them. Bring your own pillows if you like softer ones

The location was good and the staff were all very nice. Room was always cleaned very well and the channels on the TV were good choices. The room had everything I'd need and the universal outlet was great as I had forgotten my universal adaptor.

The pillows were a bit too hard but not unbearable. Would be nice if they more fluffier. Everything else was good and nothing to really complain about.

APA are always good quality budget hotels, Large TV, good location, staff were helpful.

Bathrooms are small but this is standard in Tokyo.

Our stay was very nice, comfortable and clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There was a woman on staff that's an English speaking specialist, and she helped us out when we were trying to figure out luggage delivery services offered at the front desk that eased our experience for our last day in Tokyo. They work with 3rd party luggage delivery services that allowed us to have our luggage and carry-ons delivered to our airport terminal, so we didn't need to lug our stuff around all day before our 9pm flight. Was also fun to see the lobby decorated festively for the Halloween season (cute halloween, not scary)

It's in a great location from the main street of Akihabara and Akihabara station. A short walk away but far enough away from some peace and quiet when you're done with your day. Whenever I go to Japan and want a place to stay in the Tokyo area, this hotel is my go to!

Only one elevator at this location which can be an issue if you're trying to head up or down from your room. It can't be helped though, I enjoyed everything else about this property.

The staff were very accommodating, even helped me get a taxi and helped with explaining the laundry service.

Admittedly the room is on the smaller side, but that isn't too big of an issue. Sometimes the refrigerator in the room would turn off by itself and I would need to turn it back on.

Very clean and it is very near the train station.

I requested an official receipt from the front desk and they were reluctant to give it to me. I don't know what the issue is. I've sent a request for the receipt again via your website on 21st September 2025 and has yet to get a reply. My booking number was 6844951202. Checked in on Fri 12 Sep 2025 till Wed 17 Sep 2025.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, 24-hour front desk, convenient location

This is a clean hotel with a very nice staff. Plenty of little touches to make your stay very good. The location is very close to transportation and the price is great! The room is small but has a little desk/table and refrigerator. Strong water pressure in the shower.

Location is excellent. Hotel is decent. No discomfort.

Rooms are very small (with all the facilities, but very small). Check out time is 10 am (a bit early, 11 would be nice)

The hotel is in a great location — away from the crowds of Akihabara but just a short walk from JR and metro stations. There are numerous restaurants and izakayas in the area, offering options to suit every budget. The room is medium-sized compared to other hotels in Japan, and the elevated bed is very convenient for storing luggage without taking up space. It also includes a mini fridge, hair dryer, and electric kettle. Towels and pajamas are provided almost daily. The air conditioning works well, and the TV displays useful information, such as cleaning schedules (every 3 days) and package deliveries. Overall, the staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive — though there was one issue that bothered me, which I’ll explain in the “What I didn’t like” section.

Because of this experience, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, despite the rest of the stay being generally OK.One day, I ordered food via Uber Eats to the hotel and, since I don't speak Japanese, I asked the front desk for help calling the restaurant to check if the order had been dispatched. The answer was: "Sorry, Uber Eats is an external service, we cannot help." I explained that I just needed someone who spoke Japanese to make a quick call, but they repeatedly refused. I understand it's an external service, but it was disappointing that they wouldn't assist a guest who clearly needed basic language support. This made me wonder how they would respond in a more critical situation. ??

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was off the beaten path so not much noise at night.

I have stayed here 3 times and other than the pillows being a bit hard there is nothing else I don't like about this hotel.

There’s a breakfast option but it was actually a combo meal at doutor. It was good but would have been nice to know it’s 4-5min away

Access to the subway

There were no rooms with two twin beds, had to book separate single rooms for my two sons, so it was quite expensive.
