Candeo Hotels Ueno Park

Staff were helpful, stored our luggage before check-in and after check-out enabling us to make the most of our site-seeking time.

Great area with plenty of amenities and close proximity to the train station.

Good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Very close to Uguisundani station, or easy walk to Ueno station via the park. Nippori station is one stop away from Uguisundani where you can get the Skyliner to Narita Airport. Staff were helpful, we were able to leave our luggage after check-out.

Room was very small but that was to be expected. Being close to the train line meant there was some noise but it was muted and did not keep us awake. Wifi was poor.

The location was really good and convenient with plenty of stuff close to eat and see. Clean room with good bed.

The toilet paper was really thin

Standard room was very small and because we were staying for 4 nights we upgraded to a larger room which was very large for not much more cost.Huge supermarket on the ground floor where you could get just about anything.

Nothing to dislike.

Good layout of the room, was possible to open clam shell suitcase, comfortable bed, feather pillows

ventilation in the bathroom was not very strong

Candeo Hotel is in perfect location, buffet breakfast is excellent that will complete and fully energized your day, and it is very close to train station.

Some staff is not smiling. Men staff is more accomodating and friendly however there were 2 lady front desk staff (assigned afternoon sunday) is not approachable or did not smile at all.

The hotel’s just a 5-min walk from JR Uguisudani Station, so it was super convenient to head back after a full day around Tokyo. Breakfast was solid, hotel staff spoke English, and the room was comfy too.

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but just something new to me — whenever you need something from the staff, you have to go down and get it yourself at the front desk. Not a big deal though, just something to note! ?

Location was great. Very close to both JR lines and Tokyo metro lines, and Ueno Park is right around the corner. The FamilyMart on the first floor is super convenient as well.

When the laundry room was in use it would heat up the entire hallway and make it very uncomfortable to walk through. There should be a vent for the machines.

Excellent breakfast with a large selection of food and buffet style

The pictures online make this hotel look very nice with large bedrooms. Instead the bedrooms are incredibly small and I would not suggest the triple rooms for anyone with luggage or travelling not as a family. Same can be said for the double rooms called Hollywood twins, at the most you will get 20cm separation between the 2 beds. The elevators are the slovest I have seen and you cannot take the stairs (staff said there are no stairs...) so you will get stock for several minutes waiting for the elevator (the hotel is larger thanit appears) The beds are very low to the ground I would avoid for anyone with back issues.

I booked for 2person, but could not make one. Place is good for 2 people and enough space for 1.

Amenities weren’t enough.

Good location if you want to be north Tokyo and very close to Yamanote line station. Love hotel area but I did not really make a difference. I was just surprised to see that as I walked around. Cheaper area for restaurants and shops compared to other areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku. Staff very kind and helpful!

Room very small but they all are in that price range so no surprise. Rooms are a bit outdated and everything is a bit old from carpet to furniture...although clean.

Rooms were a little smaller than expected. I think for solo its a decent size but with two people it felt kinda cramped

Great location, room was nice, spacious and clean at an unbeatable price.

Air con was a bit old and not capable for such a large room, also quite noisy even in quiet mode.

I really liked the staff kindness and willingness to help us during our stay.

Maybe accept credit card in the laudry room, have soap dispenser and rooms with contactless access, not physical keys.

The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from the train station, which made getting around super convenient. The breakfast was also a highlight — lots of variety and really good quality.However, the room for two felt a bit cramped, especially with luggage. Also, while some staff were very helpful and accommodating, others seemed to lack that friendly, welcoming attitude you’d expect. But overall a very good stay

Lovely buffet breakfast. A bit of a walk from the station but 10 minutes to the zoo and 20 minutes from asakasa.
